Personal experience pulling a heavy cable, the farther you go, the heavier it gets. Trying something like this, you would probably wind up pulling something that's not supposed to be pulled.
Don't feel sad, I never did I knew that whales couldn't swallow a ship or anybody else for that matter without killing them even if it was an accident Emily most Wheels have this kind of a messed up thing in the back of the throat which doesn't want anything as big as a human to enter... Growing up next to the ocean is amazing things that you learned because like kids in say the mountains learn about skiing learn about the ocean... And the various critters that are.
Thank you for this wonderful Video! Before I sleep each night I watch an episode of Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea! I love the older vintage look of your uploads of these Vttbots Episodes!
The first episode of the second season. The opening and closing credits are an episode in themselves. The USS Seaview as seen in her original bow observation nose Eight Windows configuration is blowing her ballast tanks coming to the surface tie in from the episode Submarine Sunk Here where the Bureau of Ships Director Mr. Carver authorized the Seaview to be raised and put back in commission in short order. The USS Seaview undergoes an extensive refit to her bow observation nose Four Windows configuration and is sailing on the surface. After Richard Basehart and David Hedison starring credits The USS Seaview SSRN 1 is seen from the bottom on the surface with a new hangar deck designed on her bow. The closing credits shows a Yellow and Blue Aerial Vehicle diving toward the ocean. The next episode powered again by the Paul Sawtell's Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea Seaview Theme Song Time Bomb will explain that this vehicle is the new auxiliary support craft designated as The Flying Sub FS1.
I seen the episode " submarine down " where the 8 windowed SEAVIEW got sunk. A spy put explosives on one of the windows, and before Nelson or Crane could stop him he set it off. At the end Nelson told Crane that the SEAVIEW was to be raised by the Navy for repairs. They were on a rescue ship. That explains the subs new looks.
I disagree about the miniature work to a certain extent. The diving bell looks WAY too big in relation to the sub when it's being hauled in. It should have been less than half the depicted size.
Where's Gregory Peck, when we need him??? He could, 'beckon' him!! Well at least, we have "Ishmael'!!! Can we still, call him that🤔?? I think he's higher up, in rank now😉. Good episode☺️!! Admiral Nelson; "The story of Jonah. They knew that, there were fish big enough, to swallow a man". Her response; "Ancient history". History🤨⁉️ But, Jonah and the whale was in the Bible, which is not history, but a fictional, mythical tale. Besides, we all know that a whale, is NOT a fish, but a whale🐳…………
Thus a godless communist found God in the end 😇 A bit convenient how much air the whale had sitting in its stomach but I understand the nightmare shooting all that stuff in liquid would have been. I also would have thought the whale would be extremely keen to get to the surface and breathe, but maybe it's keener to get away from the Seaview first. An amazing idea for an episode anyway- high tech Jonah!
And that is no whale... You can tell by the teeth... Whales don't look like that. This is all still fun anyway considering that back then how many people actually knew that. Again thank you so very much for uploading, I can remember being a little tiny tyke watching this with my family I think it was in reruns at that time but I'm not sure. Also also will need to surface blowhole is for this whale would have died for so many reasons...
I was 5 when this show was on, some shows were pretty good but kinda boring, guess my age liked action, some shows were a little soap opera like, which I despised, lol
Also Lost In Space’s original pilot, the outline for the first five episode and the screenplay for Invaders From the 5th Dimension. He also wrote the first draft of The Time Tunnel pilot. He did a lot more work for Irwin Allen. His Star Trek script was heavily rewritten
the music throughout this episode is absolutely awesome...
That submarine is so iconic. I watched this growing up and envisioned myself on the bridge of this and the Enterprise.
Effective Jerry Goldsmith score
I love the Jerry Goldsmith music

Some of the best SFX at the time on this show!
The Time Tunnel, Land of the Giants and others were very well done❤❤❤👍👍👍
As a boy, this episode made me very sad, because I loved whales.

The whale's innards were borrowed from the set of Fantastic Voyage, which was being filmed at the same time.
@harpman1876.
You have a bad habit of talking out of your backside!
Hello....!! Many thanks, a wonderful adventure ! Daniel
I remember that I enjoyed this episode in my childhood. Very interesting and amazing.

We used to watch this show every Sunday night back in the old days. It was on channel 4, ABC network.
Thank you so much! Inside the whale - that's the one scene I'll probably never manage to forget, but I never expected to actually see it again.
thank you for this download-one of my favorite episodes!!
" Ooooooh Pinocchio!!!!" Couldn't help it , reminded me of Monstro.
The whale model is left over from the movie, " Moby Dick", 1956.
It sure was an XLNT episode! brings back so many childhood memories of watching the following series!
Great shows and actors! Really enjoy the episodes very much! Tx fan
Agreed!
Admiral, we'll get that whale stuffed and mounted.

That's one whale of a story..
Love this show, thanks for posting❤ ??? Anyone know why they changed to theme song at the beggining😥???
I be missing it late at night during the weekend. I'm glad I can catch up on the latest programs.
Never get trapped in a whale with a nagging woman
For some men , a fate worse than death.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Whale of a tale!
24:33 Man, DIG that fish!!! 😂
David era espectacular lo amooo ❤️
Good thing the whale's stomach was lined with velvet, tufted pillows.
looks like Pepto Bismol LOL !!!
And so well lit.

And how could you open the belly hatch without flooding the Seaview? And no, it wouldn't be practical to pressurize the missile compartment.
Look at the rest, of the sub. Falls into the humor, when you're outside a Arab sheiks tent, and it's tiny. Go inside, and it's palatial😁!!!
Voyage was on TV before Star Trek. So the screenplay did not originate from that show.😅😅😅 51:09
I'm not sure what comment you're referring to...
Irwin Allen also did THE TOWERING INFERNO.
Yea.... He sure did.
My favorite disaster movie, by him. And my favorite, fire disaster picture, in general.
why would a sub use a bunch of fish aquariums as decoration? LOL

I wonder where they got this old recording of this episode
It's from a 16mm film reel used for syndication.
@@ssosmcin wow... That is way cool.
The James Bartlett story is true.
He he he 😃 100 gallons from a 40 gallon drum 🙂🙂🙂 cool !
Maybe they should have had a tranquilizer gun in that first aid kit on the diving bell......🙉,not smelling salts
And that is no whale... You can tell by the teeth... Whales don't look like that. This is all still fun anyway considering that back then how many people actually knew that.

Well you can’t say that there were no shortage of trash bags in this episode inside the whale.
Kinda reflects today's, ocean pollution problem, with plastic store bags.

R.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That lady professor must be either past 90 years old or dead!!! She was very hot looking In her day!!!!
Gia Scala died in 1972 by overdose. She really was beautiful.
She died in 1972 of "acute ethanol and barbiturate intoxication" and ruled accidental.

Valeu, fantástico.

@@ssosmcin We owe him a debt of gratitude. I know David Gerrold was always impressed by his work.
TERESITA. Marin. 💵💜☎️🎤🎅🤶🌈
Why need diving bell if div divers could reach them bit stupid but had good suspense all the same
Lucifer in every script: population explosion, global warming.hollywood has been serving him well for a long time
I thought the Goldsmith theme was pretty awful. The original was much better.
I love the theme, tbh, but it’s not really the right fit for the series.
Hydrochloride acid would have disintegrated them.
Not watching this one, it looks boring
