Great video! which one is next? the one with solving the character table?
Thank you soooo much sir............
Sir, for C3 rotation in Dn group for that Ruthinium complex, your explanation has different structure than what had been drawn in the book. Which one is right ? Kindly reply me as I have an exam in a week. Pls.
Thank you so much sir.. please do series of lectures on this topics..which are most important for NET exam
Alright 👍
thank you so much sir
Very interesting but very typical...lot of energy required to get all in mind....amazing video u have uploaded...and very clear thought process u have....thanks alot
Thank you, ya it seems little typical but once you understand the basics rest will become clear.
I hope you liked the video, plz SUBSCRIBE and watch our other videos too. 😊😇
Thans sir.
Thank you so so so much
thank you so much
Is Sn operation also necessary to find out point group? For staggered ethane, the point group D3d can be decided only by symmetry aces as well as dihedral plane. If any molecule which doesn't perform Sn operation, can it be the Dnd point group?
Good evening sir,i think allene has only 2 dihedral planes ? Please clarify my doubt
nice expalnation sir
At 34.10 Small correction Noorul Huda Sir for Allenes there are only two planes which are two Sigma d but you said three are there and kindly explain Sigma d for Ethane because from how you shown there gives the impression of Sigma v element
Sir , dihedral and vertical plane me confusion hai. Please explain
thank u sir
Sir even 3d assumptions you made easy.
What is the exact difference between total elements and total operations? While deriving point group you have written that separately.
Thank you
Vry nyc sir...
Thank you
Sir can you please tell me the contribution of dihedral plane in methane molecule
Hi sir ...Video is quite lengthy bt you explain it well.... thanks a lot
Will you plz recommend best book for group theory .... plz sir
Thanq so much sir........
You're welcome 😊
Sir please explain the difference between total elements and operations in td point group
Will sigma d plane always bisect the two consecutive C2 axis....?
Nice explanation
Thank you 😊
How can I know that in which compound how many degrees of rotation taking place?
Plse make video on questions also
Sir, what is the Point Group of BF2+ ?
how do you determine the number of planes there are possible?
Tq sir
Hello sir my question is can we take the example of[ Ni(CN)4]2- in Cnh point group because it has one horizontal plane and 4 vertical planes and as you said first priority is given to the horizontal plane??
Sarjot Kaur,
Very nice question, yes you're right Ni(CN)4²¯ has a horizontal plane, but in the video I've also told that if molecule has Cn+nC2 Axis of rotation then point group changes from C to D. Therefore the point group here will be D4h not C4h
Thank you sir😀
You're welcome 😊
Thanks
Sir, allene will have 1- s4 element also, does it make any difference to the point group. Moreover at time 34.17 in the video you are explaining 3 sigma d plane, sir kindly refer website symmetry otterbein only 2 sigma d is there, we can also observe that there is no possibility of third sigma plane. Kindly explain correctly.
Hello sir in Dnd point group as you have given E, C2, 2C2, 2sigma d it will be fixed we have o remember all these conditions.
but how we came to know for which molecule you have to apply dn or dnd or C2 group?
I explained in the video too that if you have n fold axis, and also n C2 axis then it will become d,
for example if you have a c3 acxis and you also have 3c2 axis the altogether they become d3. Now whether it will be Dnd or Dnh, it depends on the plane. if you have only dihedral planes then dnd and if horizontal plane then Dnh. please watch the video carefully. I've explained all these things there.
ok thankyou so much for your reply sir...i got it
You're welcome 😇
which book is best for this topic ........please sir tell me
sir please upload previous years questions and guide me any book for group theory
thanks....
You're welcome
clear explanation great lecture indeed! but sir I have one doubt in pcl3 you have written the point group as c3v but it also has a plane of symmetry (sigma h) since it is a planar molecule and its point group should be c3h then why it isn't written so?
No it is not a planar molecule it is like NH3 pyramidal structure
Thanku sir
You're welcome 😊
sir 28.55 time p agar hm C2 rotation lenge n3 and n4 kaise interconvert honge ,,wo to reflection m honge NAA Jo Apne Kia jai ,,, please ans
It's difficult to understand I know bcoz it's a 3D molecule and to explain on 2D plain it's difficult.
You can visit this link, here it may help you in understanding. Plz try to apply what I've explained and then check that whatever you are saying is that possible or not.

Sir will pocl3 have 2c3 ?c3 and c3² is possilble u have written only 1c3
very comprehensive, informative and helpful video on group theory. thank you bro. but what about my little query I hope you know what about I am saying.
umendra khokhar, brother I'm sorry for the delay but these days I'm little busy with my research work, I'm not able to get time to read about that topic, but I'll try to do it soon.
ok bro, Good luck for your research work. I want to tell you that,I have visited many times your department of chemistry, university of Allahabad university. If I am not wrong you have completed your MSc from Allahabad university. I know many teachers of the department like Jagdamba singh, LDS yadav IR siddiqui RKP Singh Shekhar srivastava etc,
Yes brother, I've completed my M.Sc. there only and it's great that you know those teachers, they are legends in their own feilds 😊
Allene also have S4 axis.
Thank u sir plz suggest good book for more understanding group theory
All 'Bout Chemistry tq sif
Allene also posess S4 symmetry
Why BCl3 molecule doesnt have sigma d plane
sir please make next vedio we r wating for that
supriya bodake, sorry for the delay but these days I'm little busy with my research work, will be uploading next video as soon as I'll get some time.
Thank you so much sir😀
Sir i have a doubt in POCl3 molecule. Why doesnt it contain horizontal plane
Is me like pyramidal shape ha to c3v point group
Sir.. in the staggered ethane example.. how they could be 3sigmaD.. i mean they are perpendicular to the primary axis,so they should be SigmaV..
In case of staggered Ethan, the plane is passing parallel to principle Axis. Now the plane is dihedral not vertical, I've explained the difference in my other video on Basics of Group Theory. Plz watch it for detailed explanation.
All 'Bout Chemistry i have already seen that sir.. but i'm still confused.. how to differentiate between sigmaV and sigmaD
It's very difficult to explain with text but for instance you can think that sigma v is the plane parallel to principle Axis and which bisect the angle made by atoms and sigma d is dihedral plane which is also parallel to principle Axis but these will not bisect the angles made by atoms but they contains the atoms itself.
For square planar structure, principle Axis will be C4 and two sigma v will pass in between of the sides of square made by atoms and sigma d will pass through diagonal of square, that is they contains the atoms.
Okkk.. got it.. thankyou so much sir
That's good 👍
Sir please teach photochemistry in carbony compounds
alright
Point group determination of xenon tetraoxide
why N2H4 does n't have inversion symmetry
Wonderful work done
But i still couldnt understand dihedral plane 🙄
Sir please upload thermodynamic lectures
Alright 👍
Sir if possible pls explain the topics using white board....
Alright 👍
Btw, I was also thinking for that and will arrange a white board soon.
Thanks for the suggestion 😊
Sir why you using pencil in dis video it creating difficulty
Bro one mistake. Allene has two dihedral plane not three
sir {Ru(en)3}2- me molecular plane of symmetry nhi hogi kya? kyuki 4 nitrogen are on plane and one above plane and one below
No bcoz nitrogen are not individual, they are bonded with the other nitrogen through CH2-CH2 chain
+All 'Bout Chemistry ok thanks sir,, thanks for rply
You're welcome 😇
Sir group theory ki best book kaun si hai
I referred FA Cotton for Group Theory.

sir minimum kitne no. pe jrf hota ha ST category ma
check CSIR website, I think around 65-70 Marks, exactly i'm not sure about it.
group theory paper pr nhi arhi smjh m
Sr minimum kitne number pe JRF qualified hota h
Minimum 110-118 marks for general category to qualify JRF
Sir H2O molecule why you wrote sigmaXZ
How XeF4 is planar
See the structure of it. In group theory we dont consider lone pairs so just see the atomic arrangement
Sr Kitna number minimum ayega to JRF qualified hoga
115 for GEN
Send application and Raman and ir
Yes sure 👍
Sir why are you uploading vedio last 7 days
Sandeep Mainali,
sorry for the delay but these days I'm little busy with my research work, will be uploading next video as soon as I'll get some time.
oke?
Dear sir, you make your vedios extended by too much repeating words..
Usama Abid u UK
please ans
Sir your teaching is good👍 but your english is so poor...
Sir English me na bolkr Hindi me bolo toh shyd baccho ko jyda acche se smj aayega
Kyu ki English me aap clear ni kr pare sahi se
