    Doing the doubles off the deck definitely helped me a lot and using a longer rope. Thanks so much for this!

    I have been trying to learn the double under cross over for about a year. I watched a lot of popular tutorials including Rush Athletics, Jump Rope Dudes, Jump Rope Veteran, and hands down, by watching your video once, I was able to master the Floyd Mayweather style. BEST TUTORIAL HANDS DOWN!!! Thank you! I subbed!

    I'm working on this one along with xcross w/running. I marked 78 xcross w/running today at the gym. New personal record, was awesome.

    I love these tutorials, but a slow motion capture would have been really helpful to see. Thank you for this content!

      I think so too. But you can slow down the video at the appropriate place using the settings -- from three-quarters speed to quarter speed.

    Very eloquently put. Im really struggling with these atm but as you've shown the common beginner mistakes it makes me feel I'm not alone.... which help to keep me motivated
    Thanks

      You're definitely not alone :) Everybody misses a million times when they're learning a new skill, so it's all about figuring out where the improvements need to be made, and getting more efficient with that aspect of the skill!

    Thanks a lot! This method worked for me….finally….getting into a DUX from a standstill and progressing from there appeared counterintuitive but worked 🙏 still have to work on the double cross and cross open 👍

      I’m glad it was helpful! Be patient with CO because starting with the cross tends to speed up the rope. So go slower than you think you should at first to get a clean entry to the double 😁👌

      @@CoachNateKG yes boss…I realised that. I am going into the CO like a wound up spring …all tight and lashing out with the rope for the C…I need to slow down, easier said than done! Working on it 👍 thanks for the great tutorial..again 🙏

    Wow - thanks for the tips on the crossing and even the optimal rope length, Nate! I've been having some issues doing back-to-back crossovers, and had no idea that I should be slowing the rope down a little bit coming into and exiting out of the move. I'm going to pay closer attention to that. I figured out that was likely the reason I keep running into problems with my EB's.
    I'm also going to double check the length of my ropes and make sure they are based on what you're showing vs. where the rope/handles hit when I stand on it.

    Hi Coach Nate! Should I use PVC or beaded rope when learning double unders?

    • @CoachNateKG
      @CoachNateKG  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use either one! Typically a beaded rope will be the best all-around jump rope to start with, plus the extra feedback really helps to know where the rope is as it travels around your body 😁👌

    Sick tutorial Nate! and I make that mistake of piking. Especially when Side and cross double.

    • @CoachNateKG
      @CoachNateKG  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yea the Pike is mega common, especially in fighting sports like what you do. Remember that it's all context about your goals too - if that's what you dig, keep going. But if you want to be efficient its worth changing form :)

    The cross open is so hard! But I can do open cross

    • @ieeaswaran

      Vice versa for me! The cross-open DUX version came quite naturally to me. I still struggle with the open-cross DUX version, of which I can do no more than one rep at a time, and no more than a couple of them back to back on occasion!
