I understand the section assignment must be done for all parts otherwise the simulation would not run. But, out of curiosity, is there a reason for having section assignments for solid parts? Seems it is only relevant for shell and line elements. Is it required just to have a consistent workflow for all parts? Or is there a case where we would do something for a solid section beyond just assigning the material?
