    The load on the left block is not transferred to the right block because no interaction between the cohesive layer and the left block is defined.

      Excellent comment! You are right.
      I expect users to replicate the interaction I have created in the video between the right block and the cohesive layer for the left block.

      do you mean i need to create another cohesive layer on the left block as well ??

      I think left block should be tied to right block's cohesive element layer??

      I think you are right. Have you been successful doing so?

    Hello Mr Mostafa Ismail, thank you for all your demo. they way of cohesive is very interesting , is that possible to applied that module for fiber pull-out from composite matrix ?

    May i know from where we can get the properties of the cohesive material ???

    In your model, you defined the cohesive elements on block 1. But how do you define the connection between the cohesive elements and block2? Or how Abaqus understands that the Cohesive element is actually kind of a glue between Block1 and Block2?
    It seems that something is missing from this model.

      I have the same observation. I try this procedure and block 1 and block 2 are not connected at all. Only block 2 moves, where displacement boundary conditions are applied but there is no interaction. Indeed block 1 does not show any stress or displacement in the video. Creating cohesive elements require to specify that a given cohesive element includes nodes belonging to the two parts. I don't know how to do it in CAE.

      He forgot to add interaction. Simply using a tie between the cohesive element and surface of the other block will do the job.

      @@mehdishishehbor5945 Is a 'tie' between block 1 and cohesive surface already implied when you the the mesh that way?

    • @阿姆斯特朗回旋加-p5i
      @阿姆斯特朗回旋加-p5i หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@aquibansari5080 No, the nodes are naturally connected in block 1 and the cohesive surface, because the generation process is "offset" based on the original mesh. It's the block 2 that needs the “tie” to establish the connection.

    why did you set the value of "out of plane" when you edited the cohesive section?

    SA Mostafa
    I have a question.
    When you created the cohesive elements from the surface you assigned 0.0 thickness to it. Yet, when you defined its section you chose it to be 2 mm. I dont get this. Can you kindly explain?
