I am impressed with how much they do with so little. Honestly. Wow. That scene with the drop pod falling through the clouds while explosions and gunfire dimly light it up...gave me chills, as with the Titan firing on the audience. I never felt 40k quite like that before.

Because 2D forced me to make each scene composition like I only had 1 frame to showcase it. And I am days away from mastering the first real 3D episode! But in a way, making 2D first.. helped me keep that same thought process for making 3D animation. So everysingle shot should feel super cinematic!

I can't tell you how many times I've watched from 4:18 just to pump myself up for the day. I always have my sound system full blast while I get ready for the day, and I'm pumped up enough to charge an Ork with an e-tool.

That would be the trailer. This was the prologue to the main story, which will be an hour long. It appears as if the Space Marines will start out fighting Orks, but Tyranids will come later to feast upon the biomass!
This was great, we don't get many proper 40K redonkulus scale battle animated as usually there's to much to actually animate but this does a great job of getting that right.

I am gushing all over the presentation of scenes here. this is the sci fi content we need. reminded me a lot of dune with the long pictures with great music. we dont need triple AAA non stop action. This captures the essence of 40k perfectly: The smoke and confusion, the feeling of helplessness against cosmic horror, battle witnessed both up close and far away and detached... the drop pod passing through the smoke with the silohuettes of the ships flashing in the dark... the space marine charging the orks as a battleship the size of a city hits the planets surface... its horrifying and beautiful
Honest feedback: The art style is unique and definitely has potential. The sound on this is fantastic... really liked the titan at the end, and the scenic shots e.g. the drop pod coming down, the sun, and the falling ship at the end are great. What lets this down is the movement of things, for example the ships at the beginning and, particularly, the guy running with the chainsword...the way the characters move really bugs me, although i sort of appreciate some of that may come from this art style.
And some of that might come from the fact I have only 10 months experience animating and drawing like this,literally ..but I aim to imrpove a lot ! and thank you for the kind comments,I appreciate both a good critique and apraisal :)

Awesome detail in every shot! Favorite part was the drop pod dropping through the clouds with the traces of gunfire in the background and the titan and dreadnoughts laying siege to the ork lines. Dreadnoughts going brrrrrrrrrrr onto the gun emplacements with bullet holes in in front of the bunker.
That was awesome!!!!! Loved those camera effects and angles! War like atmosphere. This whole production could almost be warp filled but we know it isn't.....right....

Absolutely fantastic taster of the movie, the animation style is excellent in most circumstances, and the voice acting and storytelling elements are brilliant. The music of Legio also fits perfectly in the tone of the universe, and already builds a bit of the chapters character in a short clip. Fantastic work man

Absolutely fantastic taster of the movie, the animation style is excellent in most circumstances, and the voice acting and storytelling elements are brilliant. The music of Legio also fits perfectly in the tone of the universe, and already builds a bit of the chapters character in a short clip. Fantastic work man
