  • What’s up everybody. In todays video, I will be installing and reviewing the Kuryakyn extended girder brake and gear shift levers on my 2016 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special. These extended levers are a “must have” to your touring bike if you have longer legs and/or a larger shoe/boot size. They install very easy, look awesome, and giver the driver more foot clearance compared to stock levers.

    Thanks, man! I am a brazilian completely out of the brazilian standards… I am 6’8” and 240lb. I just got a fatboy and your videos are helping me understand where to look to adapt the motorcycle to my size!! Keep it up

    Thanks man, I was really worried about not having the most comfortable ride on my first Harley a Sports Glide due to my 6.2 height and long legs. Found the stock levers too close and uncomfortable. This is game changer and would def go with the mods to make it more comfortable. Thanks for the great step by step video guide very helpful!

    I just ordered the brake lever extension for my bike and will be installing it this week when it comes in the stock lever just sucks when you don't have alot of hip mobility. Thanks for sharing

    Remove 3 bolts to swing out entire master cylinder assembly a bit. Cotter pin will be free and clear to work on.

    So, I'm 6'3", 270 lbs and I've always ridden Dyna's. Now I want a Cruiser because my new wife wants to ride. I have expensive taste, so the next bike will be expensive IF i can convince myself that I can "settle" into a Cruiser without feeling like I'm sitting at attention. Your vids are extremely helpful! Keep it up. I just subscribed.

    Could have removed the 3 Allens that hold on the master cylinder and brake pedal mount as a unit. Much less hassle over removing crash bars/lower fairing.

      Correct, I found that out after the fact lol

    Yeah, that extended brake pedal does not fit on a 2014 or any CVO limited or road glide. It’s not that I need it stretched. I would like to have it lower they just don’t fit. Yeah they’ll fit that crash bars Highway pegs for comfort.

    You worked way too hard to get that pin out. Next time remove the master cylinder and the whole assembly pulls out. It's easy after that. I'm a big fan of the extended brake lever, not so much of the shifter. I keep mine right above my shoe and don't have to reach to shift up or down.

    Hey Matt Are You Gonna Modify Your Seat And Handlebars, And Could I Do That Same Shifter And Break Pedal With Lower Fairings?

    • @DieselLegiance
      @DieselLegiance  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, I just posted a video of me installing 16 inch ape hangers on my bike. You could do the same extended shifters and probably the extended floorboard brackets but With the lower fairing it might be a little tight. I was just measure from the tip of your floorboard to your lower fairing and make sure you have at least an inch or more of room because the floorboard extensions pushes your floorboard forward roughly an inch. But I think overall you should be OK.

      Thanks 👊🏼. I almost have my bike dialed in for my height and so far, I love it. I installed the extended shifters (shift & brake), extended floorboard brackets, 16 inch apehangers, and I am waiting for my saddleman extended reach step up seat to come in to review.
