    I was really surprised to see how awkward the stock position was - come on H-D! Nice call with this lever, really like the look of this brand and I don't stay updated on the forums etc, so many thanks Art for filling me in on this one.

    Thank you for showing 1" and 2". It was very helpful. And now I know I want a 2" extension.

      This 2” pedal makes for really comfortable position and I am 5’10” tall but I like to stretch and it is perfect fit

    This video was very helpful. I am 6’ 3” with big feet so I’m definitely going with the +2” - happy to be part of your community. Will let you know how my installation goes

    I have a 2001 (new to me) HD Electra Glide Ultra Classic and had researched for various brake pad extenders online - the position of the stock one was unwieldy. After seeing some less expensive option on Amazon, I came across SoftBrake and could see that they were very serious about the poor brake pedal problem. I ordered the +2 on Saturday morning. Early in the afternoon that same day, someone called me from SoftBrake. They were concerned that my bike would have come with lower fairings and that +2 wouldn't fit. (I had removed the lower fairings. At 6'3" and with size 14 boots, the fairings we not going to work even without the extension.) How impressive is that - they called me on a Saturday to make sure they weren't sending me a part that was not appropriate for my bike.

    I have spent $1000 to make my 2019 Street Glide feel like my 2016 Victory Cross Country. Harley really needs to improve their riding position.

    Subscribed. Best vid I’ve found on this topic.
    6’ 1” 34” inseam and the stock riding position on my street glide is not just annoying but physically painful in my hips, quads, and knees after long rides.
    I’m sure part of it the issue with the stock pedal position. Gonna give this fix a try.

    Wow! Good video. Will be ordering one of these this weekend. I’ve got a FLTRK, so not sure I can go two inches, but even the one-inch mod would. Be a significant improvement over what I have now.

    I have heard lots of good reviews on the soft brake rear pedal. Lots of extra room on the floorboard and easier to get to that rear brake pedal. Thanks for sharing Art. Ride safe and enjoy.

    I'm thankful you showed both lengths it helped me decide which length to go with. my only concern is what size pad to go with that will work with the one I currently have it's not the original pad it's Harleys defiance pads.

    • @RidersUnited
      @RidersUnited  ปีที่แล้ว

      All HD pads that you currently have will fit new pedal just buy same style. What you see on video is “standard” Harley pad as well. I moved it from OEM pedal to this one and it is perfect fit.

    Great video .. I am 6’2 and really need this. But how about the gear shifter pedals? Wouldn’t you want to get extended one as well? Kuryakin brand also do some really good extended pedals .

      Yes, SoftBrake offer custom length shifters as well. Check it out and you can match your brake pedal and shifter if you buy everything from them.

    Why haven't you tried the plus 3"? Wouldn't have worked with the crash bar?

    I have pegs so I wonder how this peddle would fit, etc... anyone experience/advise? Or perhaps I should switch pegs out for boards? I have an original FXSTSB (Bad Boy). I hear it's worth more unmodified. So many decisions lol

    HD have been making bikes for over a hundred years, The brake pedal action is archaic. Stock is hopeless. The dynamics of lifting your foot, moving it rearwards then lifting it up to then push horizontally forward to brake is ridiculous. All other bikes have the pedal directly under your foot all the time where a simple roll of the ankle while sole of foot remains on peg activates the brake.this device is mind numbing . So many separate piece to perform what should be a simple system. The whole system should be redesigned.

    • @RidersUnited
      @RidersUnited  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your comment Roman and yes I have to agree with you 100%. I am glad we have company like SoftBrake to fix this issue.

    So okay I installed it and anybody really feel the diffrence in the brake power?! After install softbrakes pedal the position of my leg is definetly much better. HOWEVER! I feel like my bike lost 30-40% of the brake power! Does anybody notice it?

    • @RidersUnited
      @RidersUnited  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Shouldn't be a case. I would check if you don't have leak or maybe need bleeding brake lines. Keep in mind brake fluids should be replaced every 2 years so maybe you are overdue.

    • @AntonyMaksimenko
      @AntonyMaksimenko 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@RidersUnited I exactly remember how strong my rear brake was with the stock pedal. After replacing I lost 30-40% braking power. Looks like the pedals have different angles and it impact on brakes…
