    “Bacaksız” word also mean child. Its a slang word and kind of an insult. For example we say “sen sus, bacaksız!” = “shut up you legless”. It has an under meaning like, “i know more than you do and you’re just a kid so shut up.”. Children are shorter than grown ups mostly so its a way of saying that “im grown up and you are just a child so you are not enough to do that”

      @Cosmeti Moda the best city depends on ppl. Like maybe u like active city more than peaceful city etc... example i live in izmir and its the third largest city in the turkey. i can do a lot of things in here bc its too many ppl and entertainment things in here. If u wanna some peace u need to move to a small city.if u will ask me.I’ll say izmir .But if u want more ppl and things to do u can choose istanbul.lik Population of the istanbul are more than Newyork’s population.I dont like it cause istanbul is soo noisy to me.(but its good for teens and young ppl) second the biggest city of turkye is Ankara.I dont like there cause it hasnt any water like sea.U need to go vocation to istanbul, izmir, antalya(etc...)in summer. And its weather is hard.Or if u like foods or something u need to go to Antep,Şanlıurfa or another place in Eastern Anatolia of Turkey's.But i dont suggest it cause if u re comin from europe i think your brain does not match them

    First one is ordinary passport which is the burgundy/red one and most people can have it.
    Second one is special passport which is the green one and like you said only the people who worked on some government facilities can have it.
    Third one is service passport which is the gray one and people who works for some international entities like United Nations can have it.
    Forth and the last one is diplomatic passport which is the black one and as you can understand from the name a very little group of people -like diplomats or head judges etc.- can have it.

    The scar is from BCG vaccination. Not sure if it's still the case, but when I was a child I had to get a repeat dose because I didn't get the scar. Doctors would say the vaccine didn't work without the scar and recommend the repeat.
    AFAIK BCG vaccine is very widely applied in middle eastern region in general, but not in mandatory vaccination program in most western countries.
    Lastly, smallpox usually leaves scars that look similar to the vaccine scar, and both does look like the one in the picture.

After the war he got the name “Yaram-az” as a kind of appreciation, but finally in his documents the hyphen was forgotten and his name was written “Yaramaz”, which is less glorious as it means “useless”.

    that scar is left from "çiçek aşısı" as far as i know. so yes it is "smallpox". someone said a different vaccine name in the comments so im not pretty sure. some years ago my mom explained it to me as "smallpox was very bad back in the 60s in turkey and so many children were affected so it became mandatory for every child to be vaccinated when their age came" and that is the extent of mt knowledge. ^^

    There is a grey passport option too if you are going out from Turkey as an attendant, state can give you that kind of passport. It's like a periodic passport. "Oh your work is done, right? Then your passport too. Have a nice day sir!" type passport lets say. lol
    If you want a spesific example i got one for you. If you are a national athlete and you have a Tournament at an another country state will give you that passport to travel.

  • @deniz_dee
    @deniz_dee 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Yeah, everybody was able to choose a last name, but there were some rules, obviously. Like, an interesting one is that all last names being registered with a local government had to be unique. Some surnames are super frequent, but they have to be different at least at family registration level (which is also used for exended identification)
    My gran's father ended up with a very weird last name because the ones they applied for were already taken, so the registry worker proposed two, and he chose the less weird one.

    We also have that scar in Brazil. Here we call it BCG vaccine, it prevents us from severe forms of tuberculosis. It used to be applied in two doses, the first when you were born and the second one when you turned 6 years old. From 2006 on the government cancelled the second dose. Having two scars is a sign you are old!

    I saw black roses live in the gardens around old town Halfeti. The locals told us that if we take the seeds and plant somewhere else, they wouldn't grow black, or if we take them away in pots as grown in the original soil, they'd lose black color. Briefly, black rose is endemic only in Halfeti region.
