  • Just a video to show how to change the radios in these, pretty common car for a dead factory radio, but there really quite easy to change (some Hyundai Tucson's may also be the same style of radio)
All Hyundai Getz are the same if they have steering wheels controls that will be 3 separate wires in a separate plug

Love these vids. They give the amateur hobbyist extra tips here and there for their own setups.

Awesome video! Thanks mate. Your work seems super professional, love the small touches.
Also love you don't wear shoes! I hate them 😅

    I have a question.
Why not use a wiring harness adapter for your aftermarket deck to snap into the factory harness?
For a secure fit, you can soldier the wires or use butt connectors or quick disconnect connectors and heat shrink tubing around the terminals.
Because as you pointed out, someone attempting to pull the stereo out in the future will likely pull the pin connectors from the harness - even with the tape its still possible.

Hi, my accent has the same head unit. The head unit is working but when i increase volume, all the speakers go really bad like some jarring sound. Not at all clear sound. So if I replace the head unit, this would be fixed or is it something else?

that might be the cleanest ghetto rig of not using a harness adapter I have ever seen

what size bootlace terminals are they? also in my 2006 getz, the antenna connection looks like a harness connection rather than the standard antenna port, any ideas about that?

We did this last night with my getz, we couldn't get the radio out it was jammed. We also ended up breaking off the front as you did here and still couldn't get it out. So took off the dash to access everything. Doing so.. My fans.. One is stronger on the left more than the right. And one of the dials will only move to 3/5... I can't access the demisting option. And my a/xc light will not turn on. Pretty gutted he got it wrong.

Yo! Should I try and find a subwoofer to fit the factory space in my 01 mazda tribute? Or get an under seat subwoofer? Usually I'd put one in the boot but boot space is limited
    Cheers from New Zealand!

I have done installs on boats at work and actually fitted speakers and stereos into bob cats and excavators but not really something I do regularly

Australia's Biggest Bass Channel. You're right about the L7s being expensive. But, to me they are well worth it!
