    Was scratching my head trying to remove the facia panel. It was kind of loose.
    Now I know how to remove it and see if there are any issues.
    I unscrewed that mechanism on the right, nearly broke my neck and arms trying to get it back in. 😬

    Awesome video m8! I just got a Getz 2006 and the radio has no AUX. I know that an AUX/USB can be installed by soldering the cables to the main circuit, do you know how to do that for this specific car? I don't want to spend money in a new head unit, I am planning to use this money on changing the door speakers for better ones (with the proper RMS) for an improved audio experience. I found that the original radio delivers 22 W RMS as many of aftermarket radio systems do, so adding better speakers should be enough to improve the audio quality. Or am I wrong?

    • @TheFittingBay
      @TheFittingBay  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Put your money towards a new head unit :). The factory radio delivers poor power to the oem speakers. Adding AUX won't fix the power output - but changing the head unit will. I had a Getz and installed a Kenwood single din. After tuning it was like night and day. So you can change the head unit and you mightn't even want to change the speakers after just depends how good you want it to sound. But i'd start with head unit.

    • @m.k.9573
      @m.k.9573 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheFittingBay Alright bro, thanks for this, I will follow your suggestion. My intention with the AUX is being able to connect my phone to the radio, I know that it doesn't improve the power/audio quality. I don't want to spend a lot of money, my plan is having the car for a year or so before hopefully jumping to a better option. I am trying to restore this car as well I hate how people don't look after their own cars haha. I will take a look of Kenwood or Pioneer units then :)

    Great video but why would you swap out a Bluetooth steering wheel controls deck for a non Bluetooth steering wheel control deck? If the reason is because of the pincode, I looked up online how to get that. Its as simple as using the last 4 digits of the serial number printed on the sticker on the top right hand corner of the deck and addind 1 to the first of the last 4 numbers then 2 to the 2nd of the last 4 numbers, then 1 to the 3rd of the numbers, 2 to the 4th and final number. So last 4 serial numbers XXXX + 1212 = XXXX and thats your pin code. Easier to write out the maths then the answer as your pin code.
