- In this part we collect every ship part available in the third area of the game, The Forest Navel, over three days.
This area is a massive difficulty jump from the last one, due to nastier enemies and low lighting. Even with all types of pikmin available to us, it's still a tough conquest. - เกม

I remember a moment when it was almost the end of the day in the Forest Navel. I wanted to get the part at 2:28, but there wasn't enough time. I thought I wasn't going to get that part, but at the last second, I got it! That will be known as the Pikmin close call.

I love how much of a beast beady long legs is in this game, when in pikmin 2 he's a complete joke.
Thats mostly due to the hp difference, 3000 or 5000 hp (conflicting sources) in pikmin 1 compared to not even half that in pikmin 2 at 1300. However the Raging long legs comes in with an impressive 10000 hp with a 30 hp per second regen.

The Forest Navel has my favorite music in Pikmin 1 , my second favorite being the Awakening Wood theme from Pikmin 2

my pikmin pulled a fast one on me and got the float without me knowing.
No idea how you managed to take down the Puffstool without experiencing the crushing glitch. I only have the Wii version and I've heard the glitch is worse on that one.

I’m having my first experience with Pikmin now that it’s been ported to the Switch. To see you able to do all this in one day is crazy to me. Took me like 5 since I’m unfamiliar with the maps and how to beat the bosses.
It IS three days in this video! I'm still not that good at The Forest Navel, hehe.

Have you ever checked at how adding more Pikmin to a task actually increases the speed of said task? I think I read somewhere that it works on a logarithmic formula, such that the more Pikmin you add, the less and less the speed increase becomes. For instance, 5 Pikmin work much faster than 2, but 40 don't do a task much faster than 20.
At least, that's how it is in Pikmin 3. It might differ in this one.
Wow I would've never thought that's how it worked, it's always seemed like a basic, direct relation.
I saw it in an entry on the Pikmin wiki (I was looking up Dirt Mounds, to be specific).
I'm unsure how true it is, though.
I messed up with the space float. The breadbug died on the corner below the path to the base. The pikmin keeps moving it towards the hill instead of from it. Hope that part isn't necessary
It isn't, but that's pretty bad. If a part gets bugged I'd just restart the day and try again 'cause otherwise you'd just have to wait until Day 30 instead of finishing when you get all parts. Is it still there the next day?
@@Hawlo yep because I was brand new to pikmin and I saved it, despite it being stuck. The newest parts I found was that small emerald on top of a mountain across the crafted bridge, and that computer.

I've played Pikmin 3, and just playing this one now. What is the white rocky stuff you run the pikmin over that they freak out over? I don't understand if that's to bloom or excite them or what. And when i built a stem bridge it disappeared the next day hmm :(
The white rocks are like grass, your Pikmin mine it for honey.
The bridges can be eaten away by bugs, you need to check them first thing each day to make sure they're safe.
@@Hawlo Thank you. It's taking me mush longer and the enemies have respawned after a few days, is that normal? Playing on original wii brand new Pikmin 1 game and I had a glitch where all my pikmin were invisible, can't take anymore out, any that were out didn't count in the numbers, had to redo the day again. And with the wii mote I can't seem to target the long leg spider at all and end up killing the pikmin cuz they go behind where I'm aiming. Is this supposed to be this hard on wii? Or did you play on a different system? I find the charge attack doesn't work very well at all either and most of them just stand there or i get hit being too close to the enemy. You're very fast and efficient and this is much harder than Pikmin 3 with the controls.
@@PlantBasedU Yeah, the enemies will respawn after a while. I forget how many days, but you feel it a lot more since there are way more than in 3. You're right that it's much harder than 3, but it gets a lot easier in 2 if you ever get to it.
As for those glitches, I don't really know much about it. I only play the gamecube version 'cause it's the one I'm most familiar with.
A tip for the long legs is that you don't aim AT the body, but the ground below it. The body will be in the trajectory then and your Pikmin will attach to it.

If that includes the final part, then hey! You still get the best ending, so try for a better time next time. Learn about the bosses and whatnot, that should help!
For some reason, my pikmin die randomly when I fight the puffstoll and not the ones fighting and it is in the double digits. I'm playing on the Wii version.
Well if it converted your pikmin, they have to fight your pikmin and there will be deaths, is that it?

If you whistle them (or shake them off while they are attacking you, from what I heard, which is more likely to work), you can turn them back to normal.
It counts as pikmin deaths either way if your pikmin die, or if the puffmin die.
Due to various enemies hotboxes, pikmin can get pushed under the map and die. The puffstool when it gets flipped over can push pikmin under itself and then under the map, leading to their unfair deaths.

I haven't played that game. Maybe in the future I'll do series of the Wario games, but no plans right now.

I’m trying to play and get the Blue Pikmin a lot later.
I've done that, too. It's fun to see how far you can go with just reds and yellows.
Day 9, to be exact, and I’m not trying to do the game deathless because of the crushing glitch, but to try to beat the game in 20 days and get the Blue Pikmin on day 9.
You could even try getting enough pieces and see how much you can do in Distant Spring without blue pikmin.
Hawelo92, I’m saying that I am going to beat the game in no more than 20 days, getting Blue Pikmin on day 9, getting at least one ship part per day, not flowering any Red Pikmin, AND not using Red Pikmin after Day 2. I don’t think you can get any ship parts in the Distant Spring without Blue Pikmin.
Plus, I got over 12 ship parts without Blues.
