Boss: Pileated Snagret
The last cave in the Awakening Wood. This one can get quite hard in the later sublevels. Make sure you bring about 25-30 blues.
Along the way, you'll be facing off against four burrowing snagrets. Be careful when exploring! Other enemies include cannon beetles and antenna beetles. These pests will mess up your treasure gauge until you deal with them.
The boss is one of the mightier enemies in the game, the Pileated Snagret. However... well, just watch the video.
This cave is great for getting more reds, blues and yellows. You have access to three queen candypops, so you can get up to 27 of whatever combination of colors you'd like each time you enter.

The Snagret Hole is the 'wood' part of the Awakening Wood. First you climb up a tree with a bird house(sublevel 1). Then you get to the surface(sub level2). Sub level 3 and onward are the actual cave

Snagrets are probably my favorite enemy in Pikmin, and now they got their own dungeon. Cool. Though I must say appearance wise I prefer the regular ones to the Pileated ones.

My favorite boss enemy is Raging Long Legs because I get upset like that raging spider does when he stomps angrily a multiple times. 😂

burrowing snagrets are programmed to have more health in the snagret hole as well
not sure if the pileated snagret has more health than normal as well but i can only assume it does
The cave layout in Sublevel 1 is exclusive to the Snagret Hole, it is found nowhere else.

This might be one of my least favorite cave it’s to anoying you might need to fight a snagret IN THE WATER that happened to me I despise the cave
I had like 45 deaths in this dungeon and couldn't even finish sublevel 6 because I lacked enough blue Pikmin. You're a freaking legend.

At first I thought I had forgotten a treasure, but then I remembered that I am playing the PAL version, and that each treasure varies with the region of the game.
Stupendous Lens is replaced by Lobster Claw in the PAL version.
I'm sure the President of Hocotate Freight won't mind having corpses of enemies adding up to the dept/budget of the treasures collected.

@@ElHuevoRancheroWasTaken yup, as olimar became a biologist because of his stay in pnf 404, somethinghe prides himself being. He even says he has teams researching them to study. So bringing corpses and samples are good for him.

Vitor Hugo, it took me WAY more tries than that.
I already lost a lot of pikmin the first time I fought him. Also, the second time you fight him, you also have to deal with a regular snagret.
Just finished my own 100%, deathless run. Also did full enemy clears, for OCD purposes. Many reloads occurred.

I once bitter sprayed a snagret but it glitched into a wall so when I killed I couldn’t get the drops.
Worse- 3 of them were potions

Sublevel 6 is my least favorite sublevel.
My least favourite floor in the game I is level 4 on submerged castle. Omg just bomb rocks everywhere.

My guess is you let the pikmin take the beast corpses now due to the fact keeping them from carrying them was getting annoying am I correct
It's a bit more complicated than that, it involves money and repaying the debt.

Actually, a Burrowing Snagret’s corpse has the exact same value. A Pileated Snagret’s corpse has 1.5x that value.

I would bring 35 blues, 30 purples, 30 yellows, and 5 whites here.
Actually, I brought 40 blues, 30 purples, 25 yellows, and 5 whites.

25 Reds (for White and purple candy pop buds)
20 yellows
35 blues
15 whites
15 purples.
Sometimes the pop buds won't spawn in certain dungeons if you have more than 15 whites or purple's
I bring 25 Pikmin from each of the four colors, excluding Reds. Or maybe 35 blues, 25 purples, 17 yellows, and 15 whites would work for me in case I want to add 8 bonus red Pikmin from a unique Queen Candypop Bud.

You know, when that came out I tried playing it without deaths and it wasn't a fun experience at all, at one point it becomes flat-out tedious to survive all the hell the game throws at you, so I gave up my run. Fun hack if you don't particularly care about deaths, though.
By that I mean, no, I won't upload a playthrough of that.

If you wanna know a really easy way to kill them ;)
Use vertical camera, purples, and make sure your pointer is on the snagrets head shadow. That way you can throw them directly at their face and pretty much kill them in 1 attempt (before they go back under). It works for pileated snagret as well although its better to use a red potion for it.

Where can I find the snarget hole?
You need blue pikmin to get to it. There's an area in the Awakening Wood with some Yellow Wollywog. Kill them, build the bridges with the blue pikmin, while disabling the poison with white pikmin and then you'll find the Snagret Hole behind a wall you can take down. There's a Burrowing Snagret guarding the entrance.
@@Hawlo hey in case you never knew, you CAN actually get there without blues. just throw about 5 or 6 pikmin ( at a time) across the water and whistle them onto the land and you can build the bridge.

Me, a person who has never played pikmin 2, only 3, sees the pileated snagret: Maybe not easy to get a no death run, but easy nevertheless..people just want the pat on the back
It's a lot harder than a regular one, but it has its trick to beat it easily (just stand behind it if it doesn't do the slow attack).

I battled the Snagrets in the Hole of Heroes and couldn’t stun the Pileated Snagret!
Marcos Ortega The burrowing Snagrets are easy because they stay in the ground, but the pileated Snagret is difficult because he follows anything above ground unlike his brothers.
It’s a pain in the ass stunning both Burrowing and Pileated Snagret.
