@@amandaguzman1949 Sadly that could not be. I let a girl I had a crush on drive it and she broadsided a Camaro and totaled my Chevelle. No one was hurt though.

I raced a 70 1/2 Z28, he sold me my first BB 402 I ran through high school, 4.56's, Turbo 400 with a Powerglide torque converter. Good fun back in those days. They didn't make any street rubber that could handle this kind of torque.
Love that real big block sound and idle with 500 conservatively rated horses to destroy any street. None of this modern day computer chip horsepower bullshit. Kids, this is how a real car looks & sounds.
Dang when he fired up that Monster, I got a friggen Chubby just listening to it. My Buddy had an LS6 in a 70 SS El Camino and he had to add Cinder Blocks back in front of the Tailgate (covered by a black tarp of course) just so he could drive her on the Street w/o having to baby the Clutch/Throttle so it would get at least some Semblance of Traction ( eventually he switched to sticky 20 inch Cheaters) when pulling away from a stop. Coupled with that Rockcrusher, this Beast was a Blast when you put the Boots to it. His G/F said she used to almost have an Orgasm just sitting in the front seat while it idled. good video.. first ls6 chevelle ive seen on video that has the correct 4 core radiator plate.. and you are right... you can start it up a block away and everyone knows someone means business..
You shouldn't buy this car if you don't like people. This gorgeous beauty will attract people like a magnet. Stop for gas...admirers will appear wanting to know all about it. ....each time you start the engine heads will turn from a block away.
+Jimmy B This is painfully true. I bought one because I love old cars, but I also thought hey, chicks will notice and dig it, too.... mostly it's middle aged dudes who want to talk about the old days every time I leave the house.
I owned one and sold it in 1972 when premium gas went from 16 cents a gallon on base to 33 cents....my friends this is a real story. I MISS MY 70 SS😭😭😭
I bought my 1970 LS5 (402 CI) Automatic 3 Spd Chevelle SS in 1971 used with 1700 miles for $1750.00 Light Green from my Boss. He sold ti to me because of a Vibration he couldn't get rid of. I changed the universal joint and Smooth operation from then on. Recked that car 6 months later. Man I miss my Chevelle SS. That's Life1

I saw a 1970 ss LS6 454, the guy did a full frame up had pictures and an appraisal done it was worth over one hundred thousand cad. I would wonder why someone would buy this car and take a loss?
Just wondering what a ballpark figure is on what this car is worth? 80-90K? Thanks! PS I know it's "who wants it and how bad do they want it" :-).....but anyone got a ballpark figure?
So did the owner get married or divorced? LoL Loved those cars, 70 is by far the best year Chevelle. SS454, what more is there to say except I'm blowing your doors off?

I would take this over a lambo

Beautiful car. With all that work, they should line up the rear of the hood with the body better. It was driving me crazy
i agree, thats one thing restored cars have trouble getting perfect . i bet it was perfect in 1970
