How to Use Laser Printer for Foiling! Quickly and easily make foil printables using a laser printer! Full tutorial here: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/2021/11/how-to-put-foil-on-paper-with-heat.html I'm using my Uninet iColor 560 White Toner laser printer for this project but any laster printer will work: www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/uninet-icolor-560-printer-and-pro-rip.html
I have been doing this for 20 years, using a laser printer only. Just print your design, lay the foil over the design and secure it, then run it through the printer again as a BLANK page. (I usually hit the space bar a couple of times so it will appear there is something to print on the page.). The heat from the printer that “sets” the toner to the paper will also set the foil to the toner. Easy peasy.
Thanks for sharing! I'm going to try using my Cricut heat press and just pressing REALLY hard. Nothing to lose but a bit of cardstock and foil! LOL!! Wish me luck!!
The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system th-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.

Hello, I love the work you're doing. Can you tell me what kind of card stock are you using in your laser printer. Are you using ink jet card stock or laser card stock?
Sorry.. So basically it's what we've been doing with a laser printer, foil and a laminator ( Minc?) for the last ten years or is there a difference? I print part in inkjet and part in laser and do selective foiling. Also if you don't have a laser you can use a photocopy.
So is this different from the laminator /laser printer(or photocopy) / foil tecnique we've been using for the last ten years( heat press vs laminator)?
Hi, one of your samples was an all black, 1st day of school sign... I think. How did you get the foil to adhere to just the words when the entire background is black? Love your videos, so helpful. Thanks!
The foil only sticks to the area of the toner. So on the first day of school sign, I printed on a black piece of cardstock. If only wanted the foil on the name, I would only apply foil to that area when heat pressing.
Thank you very much for the video and explanation, it was very useful. I have a question I would like to ask, I would be very happy if you could help; Is foil thickness very important? I mean, I use 12 microns and not all black areas are foiled on laser outputs. I wonder if it has to do with the micron thickness? The foil textile foil I use
