    Thank you so much for the info. Your video came up randomly on my suggested to watch and you answered the very question I had about my printer. I was just about to chuck it out the window and purchase another one because I couldn't get it to print on thicker paper. Ah! I forgot about the back compartment. The minute you mentioned it I ran to my machine!! Thank you so much. Now I can get to foiling.

    Wow! Thanks so much for this amazing video! I have two Brother printers...one is an ink jet and the other is the exact same laser printer that you have. I have had both for about 3 years and NEVER realized the back folded down to feed thick paper directly through the machine! I knew I could feed it through the front tray but it was always rolled up after printing with the toner. Your information is genius! I just received several rolls of the Deco foil today to try my hand at this toner/foil thing. I do have the Minc machine and the Glimmer machine. But always wanted to try the toner technique. It turned out lovely. Absolutely no problems. I checked out your textile foil source and will definitely be ordering from them from now on. I'm glad I have just a small amount to begin with. But I will say, if I've calculated correctly...buying the small rolled up packages is approximately 18 cents per inch (12" wide) (and that was on sale!) ...verses 2 1/2 cents per inch (12" wide) from your source!!! Quite a difference, I'd say. I'm also glad I am able to have such excellent printing with the toner now because I can change the settings! Thank you...really??? Thank you so much.

    I recently had the same results with minc foil like you did with the pink foil. I’ve used this foil before on sticker paper and it came out fine. I use a cannon laser printer and a mic foil machine. I have tried setting 1-3 and they both had the same results this week. Prior to this setting always worked. Do you know why this might happen? Could the foil be old? Thanks for sharing this video for newbies like me. Especially info about different foil and where I can get better foil.

    I love your foiling videos 👍. I have the Anna Griffin Minc machine as well as the 12" Minc machine, a laminator, Crafter's Companion FoilPress, Couturier Creations & Anna Griffin Go Press 'N Foil machines. My favorite is the Gemini FoilPress using the Gemini Junior. I've bought the new FoilPress 12" platform, but I haven't tried it out yet. I'm tempted to buy the new Gemini Pro machine with the 12" opening because I love being able to die cut all different designs with one pass through the machine. The cost of the unit will be $300+ and will be difficult to justify.

    Nice one, thank you so much. Are you saying that the best way to print a toner image is to import it into the silouhette software at 1200 dpi and then print it from there? Why would you need to do that if the printer is also set at 1200 dpi? Does doing that make the image that much better for printing at 1200 dpi? The only foil I have used so far is the deco and it does fine for me. I just got a mini mink and you are so right, it makes a huge difference! I love this machine!

    • @NancyStamps

      Paper matters. How thick it is & heat setting. The smoother the paper, the better the results. 65lb-80lb use setting 3-4, and thicker cardstock go 4-5. Make sure your minc is hot and ready. th-cam.com/video/q31ku3rDahc/w-d-xo.html

      Are you using toner foil and putting it matte side on the toner. And then running it through a minc machine on setting 3 or higher. Must be ultra smooth paper. You can join Foiling Snobs Club on Facebook and post pictures.

    • @NancyStamps
      @NancyStamps  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are using the wrong foil. You are using hot foil instead of toner foil. Or you are using a coated paper that the foil is sticking to. (Sticker papers)

    So the weirdest thing happened, I did this and the toner print came CLEAN of the card stock it was printed on! • @Jetsetkittyxoxo
      @Jetsetkittyxoxo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NancyStamps so I honestly purchased gift bags and cut them into 8x11 paper size because they match the brand I’m working with, but if I had to guess the thickness of the paper wasn’t over 100lbs because first I tried printing with 100lb card stock Matte and it print okay not perfect. the printer i have only has one entrance so I have to invest in one like yours but I’m not sure of the model. • @NancyStamps
