I actually honestly didn't mind Sabertooth and Wolverine being brothers. The similarities in their powers (enhanced senses, super healing, claws) seemed like an apt fit for them to be related in some way. It's one of those little changes that doesn't absolutely destroy the lore at all.

My head canon is that saver tooth was captured by weapon x between origins and X1 and had his memories erased before escaping just like Logan. To me it explains why they don't know eachother, and its thematically appropriate and tragic that two brothers lose their memories and have to escape from the same organization only to end up fighting and trying to kill eachother.
The X2 prequel comic book actually confirms your head canon. Sabertooth had indeed been experimented on by William Stryker resulting in him looking the way he does in X1. It is also why Sabertooth barely remembers Wolverine so he took his dog tags and kept them as a souvenir.

In Logan, Sabretooth was supposed to be a bar owner, but they didnt do the scene because Liev Schreiber was too busy an they could not get the timetables to work out.
If I had to choose between wolverines mutation and sabertooth, I'd choose sabertooth, not cause logans claws would hurt but I'd have more use for finger claws and quadrapeeedle movements would be more fun

Really just shows he's genuinely a good person. Animals instinctively trust him. Never fully trust someone that makes animals nervous or defensive just by their mere presence.
You come very close to saying it, but fall short. Wolverine has one significant advantage over any Sabretooth variant. Extreme pain is so commonplace and natural for him that his ability to handle it surpasses just about everyone. Every version of Wolverine tends to be the single character that suffers the most physical agony, and he just powers through it. If anything, it drives him into an angry focus that helps him fight better.
In the comics this is because he can literally control his adrenal output. He's basically immune to pain when he's fighting, and that's before he goes into a berserker rage. There are characters, by his own admission, with a higher pain tolerance than he has, but Wolverine is uniquely capable of just turning it off by flooding his body with adrenaline.
*Couple of points:* You can clearly see his thumbnails right above the claws, clearly indicating that he'd have normal looking fingers/nails, if he didn't choose to willingly keep his claws extended outside* the fingertip. That's why they look red, raw, and inflamed. It's a constant injury he won't let his body heal from.

A comic shows Victor being captured and experimented on after the event of origins, explaining his mutation and memory loss, so someone mentions. But you could also go the same route as a different timeline and one timeline being before and the other after the events of X-Men days of futures past.
I mean even before the recent marvel films, comics have always had alternate dimensions/timelines to explain plot holes and retcon things. In my mind it's always been the same with the films too.

That scene with Storm & Sabertooth always annoyed me... Victor wouldn't have a filling. His mutation would have repaired it & even if his mutation kicked in after his adult teeth came in he could simply pull the tooth out, regenerating another.
Ironically, i noticed the filling. I thought the same thing...if sabertooth has a healing factor, then why does he have a filling?? He can't get cavities because his biology won't allow it, therefore never needing a filling in the first place to prevent a decaying tooth.

yeah, normally drastically changing a character's look draws immediate and lasting ire from fans, but Liev's version of Sabretooth I remember always being given a pass due to how perfect he portrayed the character.
Crazy enough, Victor killing people that Wolverine cared about, is actually an act of wanting to feel love & happiness... in an insanely twisted way that only Sabertooth could do. We cherish those moments from childhood, that turn into nostalgia feelings as adults. Victor had no connection to anyone that loved him. To Sabertooth, Wolverine and their childhood "brotherly fights", were the closest thing he ever had to a family outing of some sorts or fun. Sabertooth only started doing this, after Wolverine pumped the brakes on being a savage. In the same way u would go to your old friend's house, who is now married and doesn't have time for fun and games, and provoke them into throwing the football or playing a video game with u... Victor just wants to play with his old friend, just like old times when he had the only happy memories in his life.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a standalone story from a different universe. That wasn't the original plan for it, but due to it underperforming both critically and financially, it was abandoned. That's why it has so many inconsistencies with the rest of Fox's X-Men movies.
What I want to know is if Sabertooth’s claws hurt at all when he extended them. We know Wolverine’s claws definitely hurt because they literally go through his skin and flesh every time. I believe when comparing the claws of Wolverine and Sabertooth, it’s as simple as this: Sabertooth can climb and make quick and easy slash attacks. They probably cause him some pain, depending on what he’s using them for. Of course, his healing powers get rid of the pain quickly. Wolverine’s claws are undoubtedly painful to use, but are good for more lethal and affective damage. They probably were slightly more painful as bone, since the metal would make the cuts more clean and less bumpy. Needless to say, Wolverine’s claws were pretty much indestructible once he got the Adamantium.
my headcanon is that it's similar to what happened when wolverine had his adamantium ripped out by magneto- since in the comics the adamantium sometimes plays a role in giving him greater agency over his powers (iirc), and in the comic where he got his adamantium ripped out by magneto, he devolved into a feral state before eventually getting it back. i think something similar happened to sabertooth between origins, or at the very least something happened that triggered him to rapidly regress into a feral state.

So , that being said , logan can trigger that mode on command but only if pushed to it, once in it , he's mindless , a creature of few words & almost anyone including his team can be a Victim. Deadpool's reasoning is partly because he isn't a mutant he's a human mutate. He was given his healing factor. His given mutation bonded to his cancer. Cancer made his mutation mutate further since cancer cells grow rapidly and out of control giving him even faster and more anomalous healing. I'll at least give Deadpool a pass on it. Sabertooth should heal a little faster tho imo.

Sabretooth's creator and long-time X-Men writer Chris Claremont always meant for Creed to be Logan's father. Marvel editorial said no.
Liev Schreiber as Sabertooth was one of the only redeemable qualities of Xmen origins. I hope they bring him back

That scene with Storm & Sabertooth always annoyed me... Victor wouldn't have a filling. His mutation would have repaired it & even if his mutation kicked in after his adult teeth came in he could simply pull the tooth out, regenerating another.
Ironically, i noticed the filling. I thought the same thing...if sabertooth has a healing factor, then why does he have a filling?? He can't get cavities because his biology won't allow it, therefore never needing a filling in the first place to prevent a decaying tooth.

yeah, normally drastically changing a character's look draws immediate and lasting ire from fans, but Liev's version of Sabretooth I remember always being given a pass due to how perfect he portrayed the character.

It's so surprising how Mr Creed unwittingly turned Victor into the very thing he feared: a monster.
Crazy enough, Victor killing people that Wolverine cared about, is actually an act of wanting to feel love & happiness... in an insanely twisted way that only Sabertooth could do.
We cherish those moments from childhood, that turn into nostalgia feelings as adults. Victor had no connection to anyone that loved him. To Sabertooth, Wolverine and their childhood "brotherly fights", were the closest thing he ever had to a family outing of some sorts or fun. Sabertooth only started doing this, after Wolverine pumped the brakes on being a savage.
In the same way u would go to your old friend's house, who is now married and doesn't have time for fun and games, and provoke them into throwing the football or playing a video game with u... Victor just wants to play with his old friend, just like old times when he had the only happy memories in his life.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a standalone story from a different universe. That wasn't the original plan for it, but due to it underperforming both critically and financially, it was abandoned. That's why it has so many inconsistencies with the rest of Fox's X-Men movies.
It's a shame, it's always been one of my favourite films. I know it's not perfect but it's so fun and interesting.

What I want to know is if Sabertooth’s claws hurt at all when he extended them. We know Wolverine’s claws definitely hurt because they literally go through his skin and flesh every time.
I believe when comparing the claws of Wolverine and Sabertooth, it’s as simple as this:
Sabertooth can climb and make quick and easy slash attacks. They probably cause him some pain, depending on what he’s using them for. Of course, his healing powers get rid of the pain quickly.
Wolverine’s claws are undoubtedly painful to use, but are good for more lethal and affective damage. They probably were slightly more painful as bone, since the metal would make the cuts more clean and less bumpy. Needless to say, Wolverine’s claws were pretty much indestructible once he got the Adamantium.

my headcanon is that it's similar to what happened when wolverine had his adamantium ripped out by magneto- since in the comics the adamantium sometimes plays a role in giving him greater agency over his powers (iirc), and in the comic where he got his adamantium ripped out by magneto, he devolved into a feral state before eventually getting it back.
i think something similar happened to sabertooth between origins, or at the very least something happened that triggered him to rapidly regress into a feral state.

Correct me if im wrong , ima paraphrase a bit. But . In the comics , Wolverine & Sabertooths original Mutations , ( excluding logans atomantium ) that over a very long period of time , as well as either indulging once in " Berserkers Rage " , accelerates their Mutations Prime of affect or it's final form , which is basically turning into an almost Beast, literally. So , that being said , logan can trigger that mode on command but only if pushed to it, once in it , he's mindless , a creature of few words & almost anyone including his team can be a Victim. Sabertooth , without being tainted by Atomantium , he's natural within his Mutation , as well as almost ALWAYS indulging in his Berserker Mode, he accelerates his final Mutations form, which is a Powerful & almost Mindless Beast. Hence his appearance ( not including Creed XWO) & why most of the time Sabertooths is always kicking Wolverines ass & just simply stronger & faster in most of their interactions. Thats just my theory though lol.
There was a scene written for Logan in which he visited Creed in Las Vegas. Unlike Logan he was doing well because he did not get the adamantium.

Deadpool's reasoning is partly because he isn't a mutant he's a human mutate. He was given his healing factor. His given mutation bonded to his cancer. Cancer made his mutation mutate further since cancer cells grow rapidly and out of control giving him even faster and more anomalous healing. I'll at least give Deadpool a pass on it. Sabertooth should heal a little faster tho imo.

a bears front paws are also shorter yet they also walk on all fours,if a human practises it its pretty easy to manage when getting used to,and when youre used to it youre musscle and skeletal structure adapt to it annyway.
