If I wasn't still very happy with my iPad Mini 6 I would consider that 8+. Buying last gen on this tablet makes more sense to me.

I have both the mini and s8+ and I preferred the mini for almost everything beside watching and playing video, for taking note and gaming the s8 plus has easier time holding it

I just ordered 8 plus. AMAZON, on sale $599. Their sale Oct 11th and 12th. I'm on a small budget and wanted a tablet. Can't afford the Tab 9. I think I'll be happy. PS. I am a devoted Samsung fan, plus Android all the way. It'll suit my needs and more. Thanks for your videos. I find them very helpful and unbiased.
I grabbed myself a referb S7+ on auction for $250(can). I haven't had a tablet in probably 7 years, with my Tab3...almost ancient. I wanted to be able to edit photos more efficiently on the go, now that I'm getting more into photography with my Canon R7 and my wildlife setup with the Sigma 150-600 C. It's multi-media and gaming functions are nice additional feature. And I would love to be able to use it at work to place my orders rather than use my client's 13" MacBook Air.

I just recently got a Galaxy tab s8 plus 5g unlocked tablet refurbished with a one year warranty off eBay for $580 I've been using it for a few months now and it's been great!

I just got an S7+ and I'm happy with it. I was still hesitant spending $500 for this thing. I wouldn't spend anymore for a tablet.
I agree with this strategy when needing/getting a new device: phone or tablet or laptop - it all applies... even when you are getting the car!
The newest and the latest is not always the best choice, technically, operationally but also financially
I literally did this with my cars few times already, and with my computers and phones - I get what I need the device to do for me. In no way was I able to justify S9 over S8+ ... I liked how ligth it is, how good spec it is for under $600... S9+ was still way too much for my liking - but offered not really a lot in exchange for a few hundred dollars more :)
Just got mine for EUR 500 (Netherlands) open box, as new!
I was really torn between this and the base tab s9 . In the end the smaller size and the extra year of software updates made me choose the tab s9. Samsung are running great offers now on the tab s9 and along with the student discounts the price is about the same as tab s8.

@@silverpro8356 I'm really loving it so far . The display and the speakers are absolutely phenomenal. Everything feels smooth and snappy . Writing with spen feels really good and a bit better compared to s8 . Games run smoothly. The size makes it great for media consumption but it is a bit cramped if you want to take notes while watching lecture or TH-cam with split screen.
Can these store apps and such on the SD-cards, S7 FE and S6 Lite can just use media as videos, music and pictures, it says on Samsungs website.

umm,i havent yet bought a tablet in my life but with my lapop's battery life sucking i need something new for playing games (demanding ones might i add, genshin , pgr and the lot) . the s9+ after the discounts offered here in India is gonna cost me roughly 80k (with a cover and sd card (256gb)) . which is around 980$ i think. and ofc i am inclined towards the extra performance offered by the sd 8 gen 2 chip over the sd865 i have on my phone. will the s9+ be a good choice?

I have a tiny question as I feel confused , I just bought a tab S8+ and I notice that during use , the screen gets a little hot from one part (The part opposite the camera ) . Is this normal cuz it's first use only or is there something wrong with my device!!
As I have the tab s6 lite atm the s8+'s snapdragon will already be such an improvement that going for the s9+ won't really be noticeable for me, the price difference is though

One warning on buying a one-version-back Samsung tablet. I bought a S7+ about a year ago. Now It's on the long list of Samsung devices they have stopped providing updates for! I'm hoping for years of security updates but even that is unclear.
Still very expensive in Canada Amazon…..1100$ plus 68$ for keyboard….tell me a more economical option for Dex screen/keyboard combo, thanks
i have a s8+ tablet that has a sim slot, however, i was told you cannot make phone calls from it. i did try and nothing. so, what is the phone icon in the tablet for????

i have Tab s8+ 5G but why do i feel like the performace is worst on it as comapard to TAB S8+ wifi only. Please reconfirm this or am i just having thoughts. I was planning to go for s9+
Just got the s8+. It’s a beast. And it has 5g… not like the s9 line up 😬. Too hard to find any 5g version 😢 and too expensive. WiFi only doesn’t work for me.

So... I'm buying my FIRST tablet and I was looking at the Galaxy Tab S9+ for around $1186.49 (after tax) CAD. However, the cheapest I can find a Galaxy Tab S8+ is an open box on Best Buy Marketplace for $909.62 (after tax) CAD. That's a $276.87 difference. Is it worth it to go with the S8+ over the S9+?

As long as you don’t want to do anything demanding on your device like gaming or production, it doesn’t really matter which one you get. However, the differences between the regular 8 Gen 1 and the 8 Gen 2 with the heavily improved cooling system are huge. I skipped the Tab 8 series because of the CPU but this year we finally got a really good processor, for the first time since the snapdragon 865, so it’s really worth to go with the new one for me.
So should I go with iPad pro m2 / air or tab s8 , I'm confused , since I don't want amoled , but apple is very restricted , don't know which tablet to get , main priority is note taking and pdf reading

@@PranjalJain123 I would say go with the best value Galaxy Tab from the 8 series if note taking and reading are really your only priority tasks on the device. None of these things take any CPU power. I recommend Samsung because with the Tab S8 and S9 series you get the S Pen for free included in the box which comes handy for note taking.
You should decide which size suits your needs properly for these tasks.

Now in December s8 and s8+ prices are even lower... Tab S8 $500 or S8+ $600 as an upgrade for an artistic teen that's been using her fingers to draw on a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 Inch 2019?

I've bought the s8+ all new for $681/INR 57k, might not be the best deal but still a good deal, I've saved $173/INR 14khich was really quite a lot of my budget but i was going to buy s9+, suprising just saw s8+ back in stock and grabbed it.
For notetaking, amoled experience, classes and office productivity, s8+ will do just fine.

14k extra for s9+ wasn't worth for me, I'm happy i saved a good amount of money and didn't compromise on any major changes which is going to spoil my experience.

@@RobonautX Bro Samsung india had gimmick and their app is showing freedom sale, which is just a banner and no actual discounts or savings, although these tabs are in high demand and can get out of stock anytime, but being price concious I'll just wait till 15-16 aug and if the prices are going to be same then I'll buy s9+ for 71k.

Guys I have the tab S8 plus and whatever reason just get the tab s9 series
Cus the former chip is 8 gen 1 which is known for overheating and poor battery unlike the 8 gen 2 of tab s9
My tablet now has poor battery life and S9 is smaller with no compromise unlike S8
So just get the S9 despite the extra cost

Your S7 like my S7+ won't be getting any updates (security updates only presumably but I've seen nothing to confirm that). Like you I'm very happy with it, but if they stop providing security updates ...

@fattony9227 Indeed. My mistake when buying my S7+ just after the 8+ was out was to think the 7 series was only a year older than the 8 series. So there would be no update problems until I wanted to replace it. Too many iPads in my past ...

Great tablet, but the battery life is pretty awful, it’s my one gripe with it. Only worth it because I had gotten cheaper by trading in the Tab S7. Just traded it for the S9 Ultra

Has there been any improvement in the keyboard case? Do third party apps like Facebook or Instagram look any better than they did a year ago? Otherwise no, iPad still wins.

The tab s9 is technically more figure proofed with an additional year of support, an upgraded chip and IP68 protection. Hope that helps.
I would daily drive this permanently if I didn't work for apple lol but not sure if I like the landscape screen camera what if it was portrait.
I mean most of the video calls on any tab are done in landscape mode anyways so it makes sense the position of cameras.
If anything it helps coz it makes call look natural since im not looking wierd space on left or right instead more towards the screen in landscape.

Most of the time, for me at least, the video calls are won’t be tablet on a keyboard case or a stand, in landscape mode. Not sure if it’s the same for everyone.

You are SO WRONG. Tab S9-series is just WAY better, faster, not much more expensive, WAY BRIGHTER, with better battery, processing power, bigger and faster memory, way faster and battery efficient disc. There's literally nothing better or at least comparable in S8-series.
Thanks for watching! The question isn’t which one is better - that’s certainly the S9 series. The question is which one is a better value - and for that - price is always a critical factor (as are specific user requirements). Hope that clears it up for you.

You should not buy android tablets for a reason that there is not much of productivity apps as in apple ecosystem. Tablet will end up being used only for media consumption which can be done even on cheaper tablets
