I remember watching this episode as a kid, they didn't show it but Garry played one of those effects like a train coming towards you and then slowly away, it was amazing. It was the first time I'd ever seen or heard him and I remember thinking this guy must be the best guitarist in the world! And I still do
That's TV producers/vision mixers for you! : missing the best bits and cutting to the wrong cameras since the dawn of Stooky Bill. Typical behaviour: Here comes a guitar solo... : "Cut to camera 3" (closeup of drummer's knee)...
Thank you for this rare video! Nice to read here so many positive comments on Gary. Somehow it feels like a family, I think Gary Moore Fans do have the heart on the right place, no wonder, as Gary was a special Person, not only because of his playing ...
No one man ever looked so good in boots and leggins LoL. He always wore tight pants i wondered how he moved in those. he jumped around alot .!!!LOL. He is , in my opinion the best. There are alot of good guitarist but he makes you really feel every emotion . His song " One day" didt have a huge solo or anything flashy but it is such a great song. It can make you happy and sad however you listen to it. It can be a wish for someone going thru rough times or you can use it for your child as a wish for their future. Love ALL of his stuff. EVERY SONG !!! Even his Blues for Greeny which was alot of old blues songs. Just love it all.
Great guitar! If you haven't seen that live version of the loner, I recommend it. The sounds he pulls out of that guitar (makes it cry) is nothing short of amazing. It is a sound we will never hear again, unfortunately except for what Gazza left us with in recorded material.
I love this video and Take a little time is the first Gary Moore song i loved. Very cool to se it live. Thanks man and if you have more Gary Moore videos please put them up. Thanks =)
In my opinion, the best 4 Rock guitar players of all time and my favorite in no particular order: EvH, Jimi Hendrix (both most invenive and revolutionairies, SRV(most energetic blues power) and Gary Moore (most touching tone and most complete in several styles)
I used to watch Bob Daisley play bass with Kahvis Jute at Hornsby Dance and other venues in Sydney , Australia during 1969 to 1972. He was/ is a genius at bass guitar. Then he disappeared and we often wondered where he went .
@@mountlofty58 Somehow, my comments on a different video have gotten added to this one. This is not the video I was commenting on. This is clearly not Skid Row!!
Wow, I remembered the door bell riff but I'd forgotten the interview and performance. Much better exposure to different genres of music than kids tv now. Kirk Hammett of Metallica now owns that '59 Les Paul and plays it onstage regularly and uses it as one of his main studio guitars.
If you know the answer, send us an e-mail... o wait the internet hasn't been invented yet, so you must send a postcard to our P.O. box. So nice to watch this, what a friendly down to earth guy he was.
Gary Moore is the world best great master guitarist in the world.
I agree
Gary is what is known as a total guitar legend.
I agree.
Aye!
RIP Gary Moore. One of the very best without doubt! Thank You for your music.

Gary Moore... a missed musician and guitar master in an era where music is not what it used to be :(
I remember this show as a kid . . . Where did those years go eh?
I miss ya Gary!
They cut the solo. Noooooooooooooooooooo!
Moore, Daisley, Carter and Singer made one hell of a band!!!!

I agree, his character was very strong, like his playing.

ahahah boots and leggins.....
Man even his early 80s rock phase is underrated in my opinion, what a creative dude
Sigh. I miss "Rock Gary" a lot.

I remember this very well, I was one of the children in this video. Thank you for posting it brought back some wonderful memories

In my opinion, the best 4 Rock guitar players of all time and my favorite in no particular order: EvH, Jimi Hendrix (both most invenive and revolutionairies, SRV(most energetic blues power) and Gary Moore (most touching tone and most complete in several styles)
Neil Buchanan was a wise choice for that segment, given his background.
He was a real Legend he prooves his amazing Vocals as well in this clip
So many thanks for posting this video! Gary is a "hoot"...which in Texas means a really fun guy.
I used to watch Bob Daisley play bass with Kahvis Jute at Hornsby Dance and other venues in Sydney , Australia during 1969 to 1972. He was/ is a genius at bass guitar. Then he disappeared and we often wondered where he went .
He went abroad and became a rock star.
Thank you. Wiped over my VHS of this many years ago and always wanted to see it again.
I bought a white charvel loner series in the 80s wish i stil had it excellent guitar
I must be getting old, because I remember the show, however not this particular episode. This goes back three decades at least.
Very cool to see! I just kind of stumbled on his stuff after Spotify popped Over The Hills And Far Away in a playlist. HOOKED now!
Bob Daisley always looks calm, cool, and collect!
Nice clip, I loved Wild Frontier. His best rock record.
Gary had become friends with the late great EVH, (late70’s) I can only imagine the sounds they were creating!
Benoit - it's called Take a Little Time
Great song from the Wild Frontier album
God that 1959 Les Paul is beautiful!
I was just waiting for Neil to grab a couple of Gary's guitars and go:
"Now, for this one, you'll need a pair of scissors, some PVA glue......"
Neil Carter....the multitask man😊
When Gary was younger and happier before the booze took a hold
hey mate, I would like to know more about it
Great clip.....Gary showing his guitars. Current Kiss drummer Eric SInger back there.…..who's the pretty Blonde, dancing??
I think it's Andrea Arnold who became an award winning filmmaker. She has an Oscar!
Guery Moore, sempre foi muito humilde, não era de vaidadas❤️
Thanks 4 this Share!
FABULOUS RARE STUFF
Rest in Piece Gary
Thas the most beautifull sound i´ve ever heard from a les paul
i used to love this programme on itv
I can never understand his
hairdo's. Who did that to his stage hair, and why ?
funniest part are the little kids getting their ears blown out standing in front of Garys amps!! He always played so loud, thats suicide!!!
The band line up is...Gary Moore (guitar; vocals); Bob Daisley (bass); Neil Carter (guitar; keyboards) and Eric Singer (drums)...
Maximus Blackmore . Bob Daisley is a bass player not a drummer
Not in this video it's not! This is Skid Row: Brush Shields, Noel Bridgeman and Gary Moore.
ride8575 No, it's not. It's Daisley, Carter, and Singer...
@@ride8575 Not Skid Row

This pub style punk rock is a style i have not heard from him - i'm used to the thin lizzy or blues styles - i like it

Whatever happened to the guy on the broom? What became of his career?

Poor kids must have gone home deaf as a post
that '59 gibson les paul NOW BELONGS TO KIRK HAMMETT OF METALLICA. interesting fact.
Who has NO business touching that artifact...lol
Wow, who won that guitar ? The song sounds a bit like "Out in the fields"
The song is Take A Little Time from the Wild Frontier album
No one played with more intensity than Moore, imho.
...can I still send in a post card to win the guitar? So it's PO Box 73 Maidstone, Kent ME156RS ?
Just Awesome.
I thought i'd seen everything Gary Moore..
If there is one person I wish I'd met, it's Gary.
Wow, I remembered the door bell riff but I'd forgotten the interview and performance. Much better exposure to different genres of music than kids tv now.

Top show. Top guy.
Classic Barnets!
mullet city!

Eric Singer on the drums!!!!!!
Lavandina Querubín I've lost all respect for Eric Singer and his shameless portrayal of Peter Criss.
Greeny on display

The les paul peter green lemondrop is the best les paul ever!!
Not everyone's cup of tea, but please stop saying the bass is out of tune!! It quite obviously is not. Try breaking out of your 12-tone prison!

That Les Paul now belongs to Kirk Hammett
+Hellwyck No it doesnt...He owns a signed Replica !
Noll B Bull shit. Kirk paid a six figure sum for Greenie several years ago. If you don't know what you're talking about just shove off...
La guitare a été vendue aux enchères et c’est Kirk Hammet qui l’a acheté 2 millions d euros !
Kirk Hammett can't play Greeny like a Gary ! he should back to Gary when he bought Greeny
