one of his safest and easy builds. one missing thing is water proofing the battery area. putting strip of weather seal should keep water away from batteries
Why didn’t he use silicone glue for waterproof?
@@patricknegro5071 silicone is more permanent than a simple weather strip.

it's not very safe to charge two batteries separately connected like that, it would be safer to disconnect them from eachother when you need to charge them

@@Wilson84KS the DIY components are dirt cheap compared to Prebuilt e bikes. For around 400€ you can build one that outperforms even the expensive 3000€ bikes.

Those kits do make the job pretty simple, don't they? I wonder why the ones sold in Australia leave out the lights, though. Some don't even include the brake levers. I'd say cost cutting, since the ones with and without brake levers cost the same - someone got greedy maybe. Rather do like the way you have it all tucked away safely behind those panels on the sides - looks very neat. The built in charging ports is a nice touch too. I kept my battery removable since there's nowhere here to park my bike that has nearby power. Taking the battery out and carrying it inside is simple enough but that's just my situation.
You also minimize the risk of theft by removing the battery. I wouldn't dare to leave an electric bike outside here in Copenhagen, as I could be sure it would be stolen in a split second! We have a lot of problems with thieves from the former East European communist regimes here in Denmark.

As simple as possible, but damn, never drill into the frame, if it is made from steel, it will begin to rust and lose the structural integrity and if it is made from soft metal like aluminium it immediately will lose its structural integrity, steel will bend but aluminium will simply break immediately.
And water vs electronics is a bad idea its not watterproof the rain wil just sip between the plastic plates
