The thought just occurred to me that the plate this genius used as the "floor" of his frame could have been extended upwards behind the crossmember and become a mudguard for the rear wheel.
I am betting my man is in the Philippines... I saw them create so many things and weld with flip flops for years when I lived there. Very inventive and creative people!

Just a little tip, the neck needs taper roller bearings, they will support a lateral load unlike the ones you used. Great machine anyway!
