- Before Chandler moves out, he wants to give Joey some money to help him financially. Chandler makes up a game called "Cups" and every move Joey makes in the "game", Chandler says that he wins a lot of money resulting in Joey "winning" $1500.

What I've always loved about this is that Cups makes absolutely no sense, but Joey somehow managed to remember all the rules so that he could lose to Ross.
they did make perfect sense to me. You draw two cards, and whoever has the better combination wins a 50. All Joey had to do is remember the winning combinations and then he lost to Ross who happened to have em. That, and the fact that you double at 700, and win a free 100 if you draw a 2 out of the deck. Pretty simple if you ask me.

Realizing Chandler is the most rich of the group , his "Transporster' thing is pretty good for the money
Ross is pretty rich too but for someone reason they only emphasized Chandler's wealth.
@@mrdragonage7446 I don't think Ross made all that much until he became a professor. Before that, he probably earned a decent, livable wage at the museum (and, he's not much of a spender), but I'd guess that Chandler made a fair amount more.
Rachel likely evened the playing field, once she moved higher up at Ralph Lauren, but Chandler likely led the way for most of the show, at least up until the moment in this video clip.

I'm Russian and this show is so special to me, even on my darkest days I could watch it and it gave me the feeling of safety and that everything bad will be in the past one day. I can't even imagine how nostalgic this show must be for those who lived in New York in 90s!
ehhh.... they spend a lot of time..... not working... all i remember about New York was soul crushing taxes, soul crushing rent prices, soul crushing traffic, and working a lot to pay for it all.

Only after a few years after finishing Friends, I realized one day suddenly that this game had nothing to do with cups. Chandler grabs some cups to place next to them before the start of the game, as if they were going to be used. But they never are :D
