    For those having bass response issues use adhesive foam gaskets on the back of the speaker that meets the door. It can help improve midrange base quality and vibration at higher frequencies

    Thank you very much for this video. I ordered and installed the same speakers in my 2018 Hyundai Elantra 4 Door thanks to you. I would have NEVER done this without your awesome video. After installing the 4 speakers I set the head unit bass, midrange and treble to HIGH and it sounds MUCH better then before. Overall, 50% less bass but the clarity is amazing and definitely worth it 😘

      @@d7m792 an amp won’t make it much “louder” but it’ll make it sound a lot better. It may be a bit louder just because more power is going to the speakers but it’s more for richness of sound

    Is that a full range signal even though Hyundai just put a woofer there? As in do the tweeters of the Rockfords actually have a signal going to them and are audible?

    • @sidmontgomery9146
      @sidmontgomery9146 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd imagine that it is full range, I didn't see his door having the tweeter above the woofer. I think by default it would likely be full range. Idk I could be wrong though. Lol

    I got the same exact speakers for the same car. The base is kinda of way lower than my expectations. Did you expereince that problem? The sound quality seems better but the base seems even lower than the Stock speakers.

    • @itsrobyy
      @itsrobyy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah the base on the speakers is pretty bad.. I bought the car from a rental company so the speakers were pretty shot out before, so these new ones were a huge improvement compared to the old ones so I decided to keep them. Where did you buy the speakers? I got mine from Crutchfield and I believe they have 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you got yours from them as well I think they’d happily i’ll let you return/replace them with a different brand

    • @itsrobyy
      @itsrobyy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just reached out to Crutchfield and they said those are some of the best speakers we could buy. And we can’t expect much base from small 6 1/2 inch speakers. They recommended this www.crutchfield.com/p_109BASPRON/JBL-BassPro-Nano.html?tp=114

    • @rockymartin2797
      @rockymartin2797 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do anyone know how powerful the factory speakers are? I’m thinking of going for 100W speakers along with a 400W subwoofer. I love base so I don’t want to go wrong with it.

    Do you know if the front tweeters are hooked in to the 6.5speakers??, or they on a separate wire???

    • @adrianrivera6197
      @adrianrivera6197 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      i just changed my speakers. and the tweeter isn’t attached to the 6.5. they’re both separate (i’m sorry that this answer is 9mo over due) but you’ll be fine if you just change the 6.5

  • @charanjeevsawhney4370

    Did you also change the stereo headset or simply changing the rear door speaker made a difference because I have Elantra 2020 and existing speakers in back have no output very low sound . If I change speakers in back with after market ones would that make a difference?

    • @itsrobyy
      @itsrobyy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I only changed the speakers.. installing an amp would make a HUGE difference even with the new speakers but I’m satisfied with the quality after replacing the speakers

    • @itsrobyy
      @itsrobyy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @robertoxborrow
      @robertoxborrow 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@itsrobyy I just figured since your woofers where 3 way probably not worth reconnecting the factory ones (might help drop resistance a bit on that channel too, more power to your new ones). I bought a pair of Sony splits just for the woofers- so I’ll probably reconnect the factory tweeters anyway as the woofers are the issue. I’ll keep the sony tweeters and crossover for another project.

      Last question though : why didn't you change with speakers with more watts?Preferably around 300w?? These only have a max of 120 watts from what I saw on their website. Wouldn't that make the bass shitty as well?
