📌 Thanks for stopping by! Every little addition to this little Honda has been really fun to watch, but I think this one has really transformed the car overall. Very excited to take this out to the track. Stay tuned for the next upcoming upgrades and putting these seats to the test! Back in the day, I saw a 4 inch Recaro seat on a prosecutor's office bookshelf and asked him what the story was. He said that he had successfully resolved a fraud case against a guy who was selling Recaro seats on eBay for $500 each and what buyers were receiving were toy seats for model cars!! The seller was taking super up-close photos so that the perspective was fooling buyers who thought they were getting awesome deals. Seller had to refund the monies received to stay out of jail and a victim gave the prosecutor his toy seat as a memento / thank you . Funny stuff 😅
@@bendaga Seller's defense was that his description was bare bones and said nothing about its size and uses. Didn't get away with his scam for long 😅. Looking at your new seats triggered that memory 👍
by how you described those stock seats sounds like this one really needed the seats! i'm working on getting my nb miata track ready and am trying to minimize mods for now but figure i'll want race seats eventually, as the stock seats are also flimsy. fun fact, on some cars you can just DIY similar adjustable lumbar by opening up the seat cover and sticking a blood pressure cuff behind the cushions--i first read about it on nc miatas and did it on my gr86 and love it
yeah they were definitely tired. still comfy for daily driving, but not for the track. ah I know the nb seats all too well. there isn’t much there to hold you in. A friend of mine has the sparco sprint v’s in his nb and loves them. They look perfect in a miata too. I had no idea about the DIY seat pump, thats very clever! thanks for stopping by 🙌🏽
Bro, your channel is literally my favorite youtube channel, and i was wondering, since you made a stream ranking cars, maybe you can do another one ranking engines . It'd be interesting hearing your opinions on the K series and maybe comparing them to other I4 like the 3s gte, the 3zz, the 4b11t, and 4g63, which is my favorite engine, btw. I'd also like to know your thoughts on other engines like the LS, rotary, coyote, etc
hey bro - I really appreciate the kind words! thats actually a great idea. I think Jarek and I are planning to do another stream, so I’ll run the idea by him and see what we can do 🫱🏽🫲🏾
I swear youtube kept recommending me the civic hatch videos and then they suddenly stopped… But happy to see it got recommended again! Love the channel
Glad to see the next video in this awesome series! I absolutely loved the beginning where you brought up the Integra. I mentioned it in my comment on your last video (which you replied to! :D) and said I was wicked interested in hearing more about that car since I myself own a 2000 LS Teg. I was SO HAPPY in the beginning when you brought it up! I can't wait to see what happens with that car! Not going to lie, I haven't heard much about Corbeau in the past, but after visiting their website, it seems like the perfect option for someone who wants to upgrade their seats but doesn't want to pay Recaro or Bride prices. The leather in my S2000 seats are pretty dry and sun damaged, it cracks like a tortilla chip and has begun to peel, I've been weighing the options of whether I want to get the originals re-upholstered or go with aftermarkets, and this video definitely bolstered my confidence for being able to install my own seats. As someone with the Honda bug who absolutely adores the classic legends, these videos are nothing but a treat for me :) keep it up man!
I’m glad! I got more content coming out on the GSR, just had to wait a bit to get an appointment at the muffler shop. Corbeaus are a great option if you don’t need an aggressive racing seat, but still is a quality product and has all the aesthetics. Been loving them so far but just now waiting to get some seat time in them 🏁 appreciate the kind words as always!
Hi I'm a new subscriber what ever you are doing with your biohazard civic keep it up you are the best owner this cars got you are the reason this ek civic was given a new life
Love the continued work on the little silver Honda, looking forward to the Acura and BMW work. Those seats look wicked! I so love that hybrid shifter and want one for my Hyundai Elantra. But they put a safety for reverse in that there is a sliding button (can't think of the proper word) to go into reverse. Hyundai made it easy to steel these (I only have mine because it is a manual transmission), but they put a safety on the shifter!? So I don't know how that could be done.
I thought about it. Id probably repaint the car if I went down the route of changing the color. Championship white or CTR yellow would be top of the list for me 😅
there are a lot of things you could check for, but I'd probably prioritize looking at the maintenance history, rust, and how it feels to drive. but there are so many factors that make this tough to answer.
I like the various subject cars n i saw u previously talk about Honda element. i am savin my pennies for a used one but i want the ecamper poptop for it. Do u suggest i try salvage yards or hope 2 find one with poptop already on it. Any suggestions? thls roxanne
hey roxanne - you may be able to find a good example of an element through an auction, but if you aren’t looking for a rebuild project it may be better to try the used car marketplace. if you are handy, I don’t see any issue with exploring whats out at your local yards. hope this helps. best of luck on your buying journey!

Yeah, I agree with you that Honda really did not have high speed cornering in mind for the 97 Civic!
absolutely, meant more for grocery runs 😂
Driving a slow car fast is more fun than driving a fast car fast (and trying not to die) lol
This thing is starting to come together, Daily driver and track car at the same time

what a crazy story. pretty clever, but there was no way they were going to get away with that 🫣 thanks for sharing!

That sounds like an insanely clever mod. My fiance is an LPN and I could definitely pull that off > o >

Just by the thumbnail you know it's already worth it
love them so far, but the real test will be on the track!

Got that Gran Turismo background music 🔥
Cant wait for the atoto radio and headlight video
Awesome upgrade man. Enjoyed the video. Now we're waiting on the steering wheel upgrade and the ceiling upgrade.
Hey Mate. Nice nice video. Cheers. Congratulations on the new seats!

appreciate it! shame they made it difficult to put a shifter on your car. hopefully you can find a solution to bypass it safely
Still want to see an exhaust. I'd love to see it done without a lift.
would be nice to find a setup on a junkyard car
Just love your series man I'm like always waiting for your videos😁
appreciate it bro
For the steering wheel u should do like a Honda steering wheel from future models ❤😊
Civic Type R EK9 stuff like gauge, bodykit and spoiler , maybe new wheel?????
the new seats looks very good on the civic
thanks man, quite the transformation!
I think it could use a potential wrap? Would make a good video and it’s removable.
I thought about it. Id probably repaint the car if I went down the route of changing the color. Championship white or CTR yellow would be top of the list for me 😅
Yellow would be awesome to see
too many white cars already, definitely yellow
Is there a second video after you are done installing both seats and a reaction after driving it?
Question, I have a 98 ek Cx too. Obviously no power steering but I just wanna know how it feels in the track.
Do you think you’ll add power steering to the civic ?
Thinking of ordering same seats for my 2000 civic coupe. Would u recommend the shaved version to sit lower? Please advise. Thanks
Hope you keep that og wheel.
I’ll keep the og stuff if I modify it
Hello Im checking out a 1999 Honda Civic Dx, do you have any tips on what I should keep my eye out for. Thanks 🙏
there are a lot of things you could check for, but I'd probably prioritize looking at the maintenance history, rust, and how it feels to drive. but there are so many factors that make this tough to answer.
can i still get in the back of the car with bucket seats?? cuz i have a coupe but i still wanna be able to get in the back😭
