The stock seats are indeed flimsy, BUT super comfortable for my taste. I was also concerned I’d be sitting lower on after market racing seats, so I opted to renew my stock leather covers.

I agree! I bought a set of Corbeau A4's for my C4 and it's by far the best modification I've done. Great support, cheap and they look awesome!
Which module seat did you get and what size ? Did you do the standard?
Thanks for this informative video. Im about to get my own A4's, they just got a diffrent name in europe... but wish i culd test them before installing. Im 6.2 and 115kg....but the oem seats are CRAP!! Comming from BMW its difficult to enjoy my ride in the stock seats 😋
Great video! Looking to put these in our C5 Z. I'm 5'8" - would you recommend he A4's shaved? Car is being tracked frequently so helmet is on a lot of the time. I have the stock seat somewhat raised as it is.

It's much cheaper to see a professional upholstery company. I've done both seat's plus adding a Red inlay all for less than $700

How would these work for taller people?
I am a little over 6 foot tall and my biggest complaint with and seat or chair is that I am too tall for them. My stock c5 sport seats' lumber only reaches my lower back and the headrest is more of an upper neck rest.
They sit lower than the stock seats. You would be fine.
He was too polite to say fart stains on the seat.
Excellent informative seat video! It is on my list of things but as you say, seat choices are limited especially if you are a bit taller. Regarding the comment about drag racing (and for sure to each their own) it is boring after a while if that is all you are doing and have to wait an hour between passes. BUT, if you use the opportunity at the track to meet and chat with other Corvette owners (and all car guys in general) the whole day is the thrill - not just the few seconds running down the track. I look at it kind of like a car show. It can get boring but if there is a variety of cars there - 98% of the owners are cool and want to talk cars! No matter what sort of automotive event you are at - it is the people that really make or break it!

I don’t own a C5, but I’ve driven an 04 LME and found the seats to be comfortable and supportive enough for spirited street driving. Probably not good enough for track use, though.
Comfortable yes, supportive no. They literally have zero bolster on the bottom section.
@@mycorvettelife Well, I do have about 40lbs on you so my fat ass kind of creates its own bolsters lol!

What is the better seat to get for my c5 the CORBEAU A4s or the BRAUM SEATS?
Comfortable enough for long trips? Enough bolstering for 1-2 track days a year? Safe ?
I am considering putting C4 leather seats in my 2001 Z06. I have those seats in my Datsun Z and I have always loved them. I used to own a C4 corvette as well.
That’s weird that the seats get that dirty. In my experience oem cloth seats are indestructible and still look new after years

Hi Chris, do you know of any corbeau alike seats that can be functional with all the stock seat features such as reclining and electric back and forth?
Enjoyed the video. I have a c5 vert with tan interior. From what I gathered the factory bracket holes line right up to the slider corbeau provides? I'm leaning towards going with the upgraded micro suede seats for a couple bucks more. I'm guessing they feel more alcantara ish? Thanks for the input.

I just drove over 900 miles in my C5 and didn't have any problems but I would like to try out after market seats.
Hi I have c5 1999 with electric seats i seen a video saying to remove airbag fuse is that correct and other fuse
I can attest to this, Southern AZ, and even with the AC running well on hot days my back is always sweaty in the stock c5 sport seats.
My c5 came with these when I got em. I pulled the seats out , and was amazed at how heavy these are. Probably a set of kirkey seats are in order in coming months.

I was wondering how your cool seats were holding up. Since you are looking at interior stuff, check out what KnightDriveTV did with the install of a NRG Nardi Dish Steering Wheel. Thanks for the video, very informative. What’s the height of the seat from the carpet? I have a height disadvantages. Any option to adjust seat height with the seat rail?
I don’t know exact dimensions but it’s slightly shorter than the OEM seats. I suppose you could put a few flat washers under the bracket.
Did you consider Evo Xs from Corbeau as well or went with A4s just based on the material choices?
I don’t like the way they look in a C5. Headrest is too tall.

I’m about to put these in my Ferrari 360. I hope I won’t regret that. I plan on re upholstering them in red suede first.
