Recently found out my Hyundai locks the gas tank when I lock my door, found this video and accidently popped it open when I unlocked my trunk to get in.
Do you have insight for Hyundai Santa Cruz 2023? Experiencing a fuel door won’t open after following instructions how to do it. There is no emergency latch hack I’ve come across yet. This gives information for folks interested in this vehicle. Owned a F-150 2017 there was a manual lever to pull to access the fuel door. Towing it to the service dept in the morning. Honolulu
My car is doing this except my pull knob in the trunk opens the gas door. Since you had a broken piece at the gas door and I don't is there a different fix I need?
@@hyundaihowto I was glad I had your video to watch so that I could trace the path of the wiring. Very strange that I found the wire disconnected in the trunk after I took it to the dealership for maintenance. So it was a simple fix & I thank you for getting back with me and having a great video!
@@mikaelhaggard8031 We figured it out. Just after I took the car in for service we got the car back with the trunk wiring disconnected from the interior lever. Reconnected it and it worked. Interesting the timing and nothing repaired/serviced was in the trunk.

I accidentally snapped off the fuel door at the hinge. 😢 Do you have a video showing fuel door replacement?

Could be the button, actuator, or wiring issue. When you push the button does it make a noise?
