Well, here you go my beloveds!
To be honest, this is exactly what I wish I've known before checking out my very first kalimba from my cart.
Hopefully, this is a "lifesaver" for most of you, especially if you are new to the kalimba craze. That this will bring you insight and a better judgment when choosing a kalimba, especially if it is online.

I agree with you yesterday my sister got a kalimba and I asked if I could try it she told me to wash my hands first I did that and once I started playing it I instantly fell in love like it was meant to be now tomorrow I'm getting my own!

@@fhfhfyf It came! My kalimba has some little scratches here and there, but overall - i'm happy with my instrument! Tho i'm not sure if 1**/2** tines sounds as they need to be, but overall - such a good buy :> If i manage to film how does it sounds - i will post a link here in the comments :)

Po I wish I had seen your vid before buying mine😅 I was SOO CONFUSED if I had to get a wooden or an acrylic one, but in one vid, u told that acrylic gets scratches and needs high maintenance ❤️ so I went for a wooden one😁

this was really true..when i bought my first kalimba I didnt read the reviews ..i just got mesmerized by the design of the kalimba and just bought it..so disappointed when it arrived to me it has buzz sound and a dead tine 😩

@@TipsKalimba Thanks but nails? I find Lingting's tines are smoothest. So easy to slide it(when we play 4 or 5 tines at the same time). I got a Gecko and the tines are ok. Also have a cheap Kalimba and the tines are yikes! I had to change them... Am not sure about other brands' tines...

How do you tune a kalimba
Around a month ago I decided I want to get a kalimba and even chose the specific one I wanted, soo I go check the shipping costs and turns out for every single seller on Aliexpress it's ranging 50-200 us dollars... It's most likely that way because of the corona situation but it's extra annoying because for most the surrounding countries the shipping is free + other websites usually don't ship here so Aliexpress is probably the only place I'll be buying from. So yea it seems like I won't be getting my kalimba anytime soon :(
