You're so soft-spoken and wonderful. As a dude, despite not being overly worried about appearing masculine or not, i so badly wish these acrylic rainbow kalimbas came in, well, ANY OTHER shape then Bear or Cat ears xD The only other i've found are either boring ovals, or a flower petal which is a bit awkward to hold. I mean how difficult would it be for them to design some other shapes for those of us who just dont want cat or bear ears on the top? =(

I just bought off anazon. It was very cold when it came so it wasn't in tune. Also the end tine was touching another. An easy fix i wonder what it went through in the mail. So far I'm happy with the sound and look. I bought off amazon dishycooky not sure i spelled that right. My one complaint with them is this. I bought from them because they include a kalima stand. The picture is one of a dark brown finished color. What i got was unfinished cheap wood. I haven't assembled it yet so if it doesn't fit i will update. I'm thinking I may give some stars off for the false advertising picture. I'm also thinking that instead of the hassle of returning just because of the stand, I will make the best of it and paint it myself too match the kalimba. I'm a terrible procrastinator so on this project I will have to stay motivated. Thanks for your review and all you do fir the kalimba community.

I bought this kalimba on Amazon, it has all the signs of authenticity except the authenticity sticker (but there is the qr code) and it does not have the rainbow color it is normal ? The sound is also identical to the original.

I don't really know if it also has meaning in other languages, but "meraki" (μεράκι) is a greek word with a meaning that is hard to explain. It can be vaguely described as "the passion and intimate desire to put effort and care in the practice of an activity, a sort of art, or even in the mundane things of everyday life" (for example the effort you put on the decent presentation of the beverage you serve to your guest)

I just realized I have a ripoff Kimi kalimba 😭 It is kinda confusing since I forgot what website I got it from. Here's what it has: The hammer, not sure of seal? No pre cut stickers, the guiding stickers and the wooden bit of the hammer, also no cloth. The Kimi logo on the case, kalimba not very rainbow-y, logo is there tho. Wood has a curve to it, Tines have no engravement. Some keys are not really in tune (the ones at the very side) Again, not much radiance 😭 The tines have a curb, does kinda have the sound?? So confused, did I get ripped off or did the packaging company want to steal some of the stuff in there??
I hope people don't think my Kimi Kalimba is a imitation lol I've had my Kimi for a couple years now and the logo on the front finally came off. I must say they lasted quite a while 😂

Is this a fair test? The kalimbas don't seem to be tuned the same way.
4:37 is how i first got it without replacing the tines yet. (I needed to replace the tines and lower the key just to make it better.)
They are both in the key of C.

I just realized I have a ripoff Kimi kalimba 😭
It is kinda confusing since I forgot what website I got it from.
Here's what it has:
The hammer, not sure of seal?
No pre cut stickers, the guiding stickers and the wooden bit of the hammer, also no cloth.
The Kimi logo on the case, kalimba not very rainbow-y, logo is there tho.
Wood has a curve to it,
Tines have no engravement.
Some keys are not really in tune (the ones at the very side)
Again, not much radiance 😭
The tines have a curb, does kinda have the sound?? So confused, did I get ripped off or did the packaging company want to steal some of the stuff in there??

I hope people don't think my Kimi Kalimba is a imitation lol I've had my Kimi for a couple years now and the logo on the front finally came off. I must say they lasted quite a while 😂

I recommend that you grow out your nails even by 1-2mm. It's challenging to slide your thumb without length on the nail 😌
