This move is a huge leap of faith for us here, please do let us know if we've got it right, if you'd like to see more or what you'd improve. And if you've got any footage of caddax Walksnail and want to be included in episode 2,email it to team@squadquads.co.uk
I'd definitely like to see more yes. My improvement suggestions: shorter intro (maybe half as long as the current 1'30"?), no "woosh" sounds when inserting and removing pictures (5:15) and a cleaner arrangment of the pictures, that bit momentarily broke the documentary / story-telling immersion for me (it resumed afterwards).
Very interesting video, I liked the production value you put into this. While there are many details that are inaccurate, on the whole, this is a great video that gets the overall picture right. As winter sets in, maybe you'll fly some hdzero tiny whoops 😉. Looking forward to more of these documentaries!
Oh no what is inaccurate? I did reach out to hdzero to gave them involved to ensure my research was correct we couldn't make it happen sadly, I appreciate the kind comments but I'm a bit gutted I've for. Many details wrong, I know your well connected too so will know your stuff. And yes, this film has re ignited my passion in hdzero whoops, ivd got some... Things, planned for winter :). Thanks
Fantastic documentary! I can't say HD Zero interests me much but I was Glued to this! Well researched and narrated you made it totally interesting well done 💅💯
Really nice video man! I think you pulled the "documentary" format off well. Can't wait to see the next ones this winter. To answer your question at the end of the video: I am an analog flyer atm, considering upgrading to DJI in the next few months. What would make me buy HDzero would be a video feed at least as good as Walksnail. Ideally a bit better. With a lower latency (not necessarily a ton lower, like 10% to 20% lower woul'd be enough to make it a compelling purchase for the price). (to be clear, I am not expecting them to make that kind of move, nor am I saying they should. I get the philosophy of HDZ, and get that I'm not the target customer)
@@equipeecureuil6690 that's super awdoake to hear thank you so much man. Yeah I love what they do, it's just a shame it doesn't with me but clearly it fits with lots of people and we can both fully understand and acknowledge the situation
I fly HDZero and DJI for freestyle. And for me the low latency makes a large difference in flight feel and fun. So when flying smaller or more urban spots (scraggle) . But sometimes DJI is needed and the quality of o3 as well as the penetration are great.
@@painy6588 totally agree… I got HD zero goggles to fly whoops and use analog… when trying a V2 at 90fps for the first time it was mind blowing. But I still fly DJI too they each have a place in how I fly

@@squaddingquads I hear ya. Not having a dig but i reckon the vid would have been better without the side by side dji comparison. @@squaddingquads brilliant, look forward to it. If you doing more history vids on fpv and quads i have some old rellics i can send you. Like a blade inductrix (that inspired the tiny whoop) and a David Windestal Tricopter.
Hdzero goggles cost 500 now I think and Carl announced a cheaper pair with same range capabilities which is cool! I love hdzero lol to each their own. I'm honestly kinda jealous how far dji and walksnail can penetrate.
Yeah, couple things, thus far i have been analog for life for 3 reasons and HDZ fixes 2 of them, I like the low latency (tried DJI disliked latency), I feel I can recover from breakup easier than dropped frames, or 2-5fps, and I like having budget
We OG said the same when we went from individual esc's onto the 4 in 1s we use today, it was always a big issue of gaining to replace 4 not one and the cost but as reliability of quality increased the worries and issues just went away. I'm sure in time we will feel the same about these 5 in one AIO boards with hdzero too.
I'm new to FPV. I hated analog from day 1 as it just is hard to see stuff. I researched all the HD choices. I decided on HDZero because of the latency. I don't regret my choice at all. The goggles are the best for analog and make it much better than any box goggle. The quality of HDZero is so much higher than analog even at 540p90 and the latency is even better than analog. I have yet to be at a bando so idk if it's any good for it but where I fly 98% of the time it's excellent.
For a lot of flyers HDZERO is great, it doesn't quite work for me for the things I do but I still fly and critically enjoy the system, I just wish it was a bit.... More you know.
Great information. I would love to add HDZERO based whoops to my fleet, but the goggles are so expensive ($900 CAD). I might pay 500-700 for a striped down version. I have Goggles3 for my larger drones already. DJI has nothing currently for light weight VTX in small whoops (I won't buy a NEO).

Everything in one board is fine if cheap. If one part breaks you replace them all. So cost jumps higher. I don’t know seems an issue
