Love my Ultratech so much. I have my first partially serrated D/E in the mail now. I've owned several Ultratechs & UTX-85s, but my S/E Apocalyptic is the first I've wanted to keep. The D/E in the mail has black hardware. I prefer apocalyptic finishes over satin for the lower visibility of possible scuffs & snail trails. Great knives, so well made & fun to fidget!
Thanks for the great content, your videos are very well produced! 😃

Great review! I picked up a black Ultratech with the apocalyptic bronze finish a few weeks ago. It’s my second, with my first being the BM Infidel. I prefer the feel of the Microtech over the BM.
I have to ask though, because I’m mesmerized by it. What is the light cube in the background that changes different patterns of lights. I MUST have one!!
Keep up the great work sir!

I’ve got the same ultratech except not apocalyptic. I love it. My first OTF and now I’m hooked. Just bought mine last month and already shopping for another. I’m thinking of the combat troodan. Thanks for the video.

I have the stonewash d/e spear point. Im also considering a combat troodon. I love how much bulkier it is for the hand

Don't quit your day job. This video was hard to watch. I made it to the 48 second mark.

Really well made video! Wish I could say the same for the knife. Got mine last week and honestly I could not have been more disappointed. The packaging is worse than what comes with just about any product in the $20-$50 range these days. The “manual” is a joke. To say there’s “some blade play” is a pretty big understatement. The blade play on mine is worse than any of the OTFs I own, including $50 AKCs. Maybe a screw isn’t snug? Who knows, they use proprietary screw heads. Doesn’t even cut well. Call me old school, but I expect my knife to at least do that! I know knives are apparently just supposed to be $300 fidget spinners these days, I guess that’s why no one cares about any of this. That whirring sound you hear is my aerospace machinist grandfather spinning in his grave because I spent $300 on a pocketknife that rattles like a pez dispenser.

I'd call microtech and verify its authentic. My packaging is fairly nice hard material and my knife literally shows the quality in the authentic craftsmanship

@@sethferguson5000 Glad to hear you had better luck than I did. I contacted Microtech's customer support and got no reply. After a week and a half of waiting, I just returned it. The vendor only took a few minutes to get back to me and settle the matter. The vendor clearly cares about customer satisfaction (the same reason I move heaven and earth to satisfy my own clients' concerns when they arise). The lack of support just confirmed my suspicions that Microtech is too busy or too successful to care if I'm satisfied with their product or not. Fine by me. I can take my refund and buy the next 2 or 3 most expensive American made knives on my wish list. Whether the knife I got was authentic or not is Microtech's problem now, I couldn't care less. My guess is that it was authentic, and the fanbase is simply eager to make excuses for issues like this.
