  • Hello everyone!
This is the second part of the alcohol markers on vellum technique, the same one I showed in the previous video but with a twist. This time I used a cover die from which I ended up with two panels, and therefore two cards. I'm also showing two other cards that I made with the same technique, one simple panel and the other one also using two different dies.
I hope you like it, and feel free to reach out if you would like more details.

Hi and thank you for the kind comment. In those two videos I used Tombow alcohol markers but I believe the technique works with other brands as well, including Copics. I hope that helps. XOXO

Both cards are beautiful, Monica. Thank you so much gor sharing. Having made these cards, can you tell if they could be cut in half lengthwise then half of each placed on a card with half of the other? I will subscribe and ring the bell so I can learn more from you. ❤️🇨🇦

Thank you so much for the kind comment Kirrie. I'm not sure I understand your idea. These are regular A2 card size, if you cut them in half you'll end up with two 2 1/8 (wide) panels. Did you adhering the two panels side by side but not in contact with each other?
      XO!

Thank you for your reply, Maria. I'm sorry I was not clear. I mean to cut each in half lenghtwise, then mount one half of the wide striped touching one half of the narrow striped to make a single image. There would still be 2 cards, just half of each image on each card base. Am I still being confusing?

@@kirriesummers5219 my apologies for the late reply. I was away and in an area without much connection. I think I understand your idea now, and it might be possible and a very cool look. I haven't tried myself but if you do let me know. You could probably use a similar die, and get same effect. This idea can be applied with many types of dies. Cheers!!!

Those are not alcohol markers, you still can't realize that? Those are water based markers, my goodness

Perhaps you don't know but Tombow has a line of alcohol markers. They are called Tombow ABT Pro Alcohol markers and they differ from the water based markers because they’re grey in the outside as opposed to black.

@@needleandpaper Yes, I did know they have alcohol markers too, but from all the reviews they don’t sound good at all, I thought you were using the watercolor markers, my apologies 🤭
