    Something I didn't mention in the video, what I used to adhere the vellum. I used the regular thin double sided tape, because of the added alcohol ink it doesn't show through the vellum, here's the link: gerryscraftroom.com/adhesive-tape (affiliate link that may be used at no cost to you, if you make a purchase through this link. Thank you so much for your support)💕

    Wow! How cool is this. Love all the backgrounds, but my fave is the teal one and the striped one. Thank you for sharing all of those great tips along the way. I like your quote "... saves you precious time that can be spent on crafting which is way better than cleaning". You got that right! : )

      Gerry's Craft Room Gerry, I’m wondering what affect, would it have, do you think, if you added rubbing alcohol or blending solution after blending in the colours? Would it wreck it? Could the vellum stand up to it?

    • @GerrysCraftRoom
      @GerrysCraftRoom  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Fiona Langlois I think it may be a bit too much fluid together with the alcohol ink. But you can try on just a small piece, it shows really fast😉

      Judy Mason thanks😊💕I used regular double sided sticky tape, the added alcohol ink makes that it doesn’t shine through the vellum, should have told that in the video😱😉💕

    You are right! No matter what the background, they are all gorgeous! I know I give up too easy but my desire to create is strong but my time is short.....funny thing about it, "but there never seems to be enough time to the things that you to do, once you find them. AND, on a limited budget, I don't want to waste my materials (no matter how many of them you can make), so I just stop for a while. BTW, as a repeat beginner, what are the symbols made out of? This old timer doesn't want to buy anymore things then are needed. Thank you for this great video👍😊

    How did you attach the vellum to the base cardstock? Does the glue show through like it does unpainted vellum? 🙋🏻‍♀️

      with double sided adhesive tape, and it doesn't shine through the coloured vellum, which is a cool bonus💕here's the link: gerryscraftroom.com/adhesive-tape

    Question from a novice who never worked with alcohol inks: that felt, is it some special one or can I use any crafting felt sheet cut into circles like that?

    • @GerrysCraftRoom
      @GerrysCraftRoom  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can try felt you may have, this felt has the right amount of "fluffyness" to stick to the loops of the velcro. You can even use dry (used) wet wipes: th-cam.com/video/hMOrGFimsC0/w-d-xo.html Here's the complete Alcohol ink playlist for more ideas: th-cam.com/play/PLHNip46yzH6ePkkS-W8ZmS_aPQy9YRNTi.html to jumpstart your alcohol ink journey😉

    Gorgeous cards Gerry! The alcoholink on the pearlescent vellum really popped.
    Een vraagje: Bestel jij vaak bij Scrapbook.com? Ik vind het een leuke winkel maar de importbelasting is toch echt minder leuk. Ik snap sowieso niet dat dure electronica gratis ingevoerd mag worden en knutselspullen niet.

      thanks💖 Af en toe, de meeste abonnees wonen in the US vandaar dat ik daarheen link. En belasting is sowieso een beetje onnozel, maakt dingen veel duurder dan nodig😉

      not on vellum itself, use as little fluid on vellum as possible as it bulges like crazy🤩
