That is supposed to move it’s your bag swivel so your chain does not twist and stress your bag and beam. And yes get a spring ASAP!

I found that you want the center of the bag to be closer to your face punch height if you can help it and for the time and money you probably spent you could of just got a hanger, also if ur wanna attactch it to the structure of the property springs probably help which is my reason for researching this.

I've worked out on traditional heavy bags th-cam.com/users/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.

Ok so i have a 10 feet Unistrut channel with trolleys on it to hung a 90lbs punching bag and 70lbs round punching bag to roll them out of the way.. Should I bolt the unistrut channel straight to the garage ceiling joist or should I bolt down a 2x4 or 2x6 board first to ceiling then bolt down unistrut Chanel to board??
I want to use channel for the 2 punching bags, rings and a climbing rope. My ceilings are 8ft high. Thank u
Also what kind of bolts should I use and do I need washers too?

I did the same with unistrut and trolley. But bag moves down the channel when punched. How did yours come out ? Any issues?

The bog usually has the metal rings already sown in so you can just use some camping hooks to connect them to the Chai

Yes , dont do that! im a carpenter 30+ yrs
Best to just buy a stand for $100 rather than thousands in structural damage
Lol there are unsafe vids on TH-cam be careful
I’m saying this because no one else did.

Bro did you just hang that bag on a 2x4 joist? Lol nah 2x6 and up and I would by a bracket that spans 2 2x6 joists for extra support. Your setup is going to cause some serious damage.

@@TzUuup same. I’m thinking to just wing it and use 8 thick screws and a 4x4 post. Use the 4x4 and create a cross beam between two floor joists and screw it in at either end 4 screws each. Then just mount the bag to the new cross beam

Your DIY game is good, but your punching game needs work
