    Really helpful video I own a 2018 Sprinter (Roadtrek Agile). I live in Chicagolandand have driven a lot in Colorado. The pedal lag is a PITA especially at higher altitude. You convinced me to try the pedal upgrade. May also add the controller later. I’m also interested in the Owl Van storage box. I know exactly what you mean about storage needs.

    In between jobs I borrowed my moms 07 Sequoia and did a road trip for a month living in it. I'm 5'10 and with the seats out I could lay fully out with an air mattress. I also just got a plastic drawer system and tied it down and was totally comfortable in it for a month. Car is also very capable and was able to go basically anywhere I wanted in it.

    I'm stoked about the sequoia! I had an 03 and it was an awesome vehicle. I hope you're going full budget build mode. Then sell it at a nice profit of course!

    I caught your video just after you had it retro fitted from all the upgrades from Owl products I believe (bumpers, winch, rear box and rack, tracks, roor rack etc). On that video you also explained your We-Boost. I am just jumping on to see this latest, so I just started. My point- I really like what you did with Rap (Topographical look - sharp, really cool look!) and all the genious upgrades and organizational ideas. Soots the unit very nicely. I would love to pick your brain some time not related to RV Van-Live but your Ham Radio knowledge. but that is for another time. Keep up the great work and information! Something tells me you may have served in the armed forces. If so- appreciate your service! Carry on!

    Almost like that quat needs a support on the lest side, to let you center the carrier more. It's badass kit, just a little tweaking and it's golden. They picked the perfect person to help them test tho, lol.
    Oh, and on the wedding... Yikes. I went through the same thing not long ago, including the honeymoon. Between planning, and writing checks, it's one of the most stressful periods of my adult life. That's why you need an epic honeymoon. Bust your ass for six months planning to enjoy seven days in a tropical paradise with your gorgeous new bride. Yeah, it's stressful as hell. But God knows how worth it, it all is. Congrats Mike n Ashley. Super happy for y'all!!

    Thanks for the Terrain content, it has been super helpful! I took my terrain up a pretty mild trail for the first time and it was crazy how long I had to sit still with the pedal floored before it would climb up a small incline. Not sure if that's normal, but if so and that was your experience too, did the DTE pedal control help? Thanks!

    That small diesel engine lag is no joke. A buddies girlfriend had a diesel liberty in high school and it felt like you were waiting for minutes before the thing actually started moving after stepping on the throttle. It was ridiculous. And yet somehow I was the only one that had an issue with it and even noticed it. Go figure. 🤷‍♂️

    It maybe too simple of a fix for the limiting of the door swing but just thinking off the top of the dome. You could attach a strap at eye level inside the van wall to door to remind whomever is opening the door not to push beyond the strap being tight. A visual and a physical reminder that the door is open to its limits.

    Thoughts on the 1up rack with the Emtb? I had that set up bedside on the truck but the weight of most E’s exceed what 1up approves use for. See ya on the trails one day.

    Just curious what the van weighs with the bumpers/winch/racks/etc. What is the GCVW for that thing? Just curious how much it could tow once it is fixed up to go camping. Great videos!

  • @k4eod
    @k4eod 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    A huge part of the weight of that ebike is the battery. I always remove it before I rack it up. Carry it inside my jeep. Less weight to lift and less weight on the mount.

    • @k4eod
      @k4eod 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      And it's a lot easier to charge the battery while you're driving.

  • @subbystyle
    @subbystyle 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You need to clamp the propane tank below the seam. The seam also works like a cushion preventing the tank from simply slipping through. Just a suggestion

    • @LastLineOfDefense
      @LastLineOfDefense  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      This mount has a bottom, so the only direction the tank can slip is up. Not sure if that would change where you'd decide to put the clamp

    The only thing I don't like is the outdoor speakers mounted into the side of the van.......more holes for possible leaks down the road.
    Would have been better with a bluetooth speaker that could be brought outside.
    I know that's a Jayco mod but I'm not a fan of the outdoor speakers built-into the van.

      So you’re telling me if you built up a platform and a company offered you a sweet van like this if you do some content w it you wouldn’t do it bc your outside a few mins less… maybe think of all the positives and extra possibilities that come with it. I certainly can’t justify getting one of these myself but I enjoy learning about them.

    • @StevenGarcia-im8rr
      @StevenGarcia-im8rr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not everybody has the same priorities, and not everyone is willing to jump into the outdoors full-stop. If it starts someone down the path of further naturalist adventures then who cares if it's overdone?
