A very detailed introduction. Thank you!!! You cleared quite a few things to me. This are quite complicated cameras for someone who is handling this device for the first time. Your explanation for sure is not a master class but for more detailed explanation I better should pay quite a few bucks in a GO-PRO class anywhere , they are quite expensive, so, thank you again for your "starter impulse".

You should clean the lens see allot of the shot looks like you have a smudge on the lens.
I enjoyed the review as I just purchased the Hero 4 Black, but something I'm really NOT impressed with is your general lack of interaction with your audience. On many of your videos you have comments with very good questions that you could easily provide an answer to for your viewers, but 90% of the time you simply ignore everyone who posts comments/questions. Kinda renders all the work you put into these reviews (50% useless). I hope you will genuinely work on improving that.. It will help your ratings go up a lot. Thanks for taking the time to create the content; excellent quality.

I just bought a premium used GP4 and you never mentioned linear mode that removes the barreling lens distortion. How can you criticize the lens and not mention this feature? I guess you didn't do all your homework.
This is an EXCELLENT video review! Even at 23 minutes It was no problem to watch the entire thing.
I wanted a Gopro 4 black after seeing the "adventure of a life" promo video in 4K at work. I was blown away by the quality of the video.
Now I see that one can actually use the button on the side to go through all the pertinent menu items, which is a big plus.

Very good video, I do have a question or two as to my use. I plan to use it more in my car as a dash cam. What settings would be best for eliminating the round horizion and give me good clear videos for three hours of battery life [or the most battery life for a decent quality video?Also is there a way I can run it off of my car battery? I have a sony hdraz1 and not happy when the battery runs out then the files crash and come home to have only 2 outta six videos I pissed!going to sell it and maybe get this but the battery issue got me thinking what to do!Thanks for the great review thumbs up!
I really want to see the hero 4 black edition compared to the 3+ black edition but i dont see any videos of that

Great detailed video. Only complaint is the location you were shooting in. Would prefer to see sunny skies, blue water etc. My action vacation or activities will not be in overcast rainy location.

Is this possible in this cameras ?
And I wanted to know if Go pro cameras have the ability to be updated(software) ?
I mean if there's something that the camera is able to do but there is no option in software , can the GoPro company release some kind of an update that fixes the problem ?

I charged the battery for about 4hrs and the recording did not last close to 1 hour? Maybe 20 minutes. The store I bought the gopro4 black does not have extra batteries but wouldn't this one battery last at least 45minutes?

Why does the GoPro doesn't have a LED lighting, To Light up though your search??? It's really Impossible to Look at The I-Cons unless if You put a Light really Close into the Go pro.

Which program you mount? When I mount on my TH-cam poor quality and you can see the pixels and squares and you do not have
what is the camera you are switching back and forth with in the end of the video and what frame rate are you using in both of those instances?

No need for an adapter to use external mics. Just buy one for micro-usb connection to fit the side-panel connection port on the camera :-)

Will a class 10, UHS-1 memory card work using the 4K 30 setting? I only buy the SanDisk brand.
I just checked my HERO4 and found out I do have a 16gb Sandisk MicroSD, Which works perfectly fine with 4k. I've filled up the entire SD with it once, and it was fine. Class 10, too.

Is it worth to buy the gopro hero 4 or a less expensive video camera?I am going to use it more like indoor events and shooting videos but i would love to film extreme sports like skiing, kayaking etc.
I'd say it's worth it. From my experience it's very versatile. I've used it from school movie project filming to mounting it to an RC car and getting super smooth high quality video, even on jumps and high speed 80kph driving.

It's a fantastic camera. The quality is crystal clear and looks marvellous when I mount it to my RC car. Even at high speeds and high vibration environments, it will prevail to look amazing. It really depends on the lighting. If the thing you're recording is dark and indoors, you may need to look for some tutorials to improve your lighting. Overall, just from my experience, the GoPro HERO4 Black is an amazing camera.
***** I haven't tried workout videos but the massive FOV means you can get heaps of content into the shot, which is excellent because you don't have to worry about the camera not capturing you. You can move all over the place and it'll still capture you. So, I imagine it would be great for workout videos. Just mount, press record, and no worries.
you meantion the gopro becomes really hot in 4k . does it have same issues at 2.7k and 1440p . ??
Never tried 2.7k myself, but I know that the camera does not heat up too fast in 1440.
Is it worth upgrading from a Hero 3 Silver to a Hero 4 Black? Mainly gonna be for motox and scuba videos.

Got my gopro hero 4 with a gopro suction cup mount and a gopro selfie stick for 250$ Very pleased with the picture quality, although the battery life really sucks....

guys,, can anyone help???? i would like to get the narrow field of view (ideal for diving,, makes objects look closer and more real) and get the maximum quality out of my camera.. with the gopro 4 black..
on the gopro 3 i was using 1080 narrow field of view.. no narrow field of view in 4K mode.. can anyone explain the term scaling?? or maybe filming in 4K and then zoom in editing,, do i lose quality if i go for example from 1080 wide to 1080 narrow??? why size remains the same( 1080 x 1920)??excuse my ignorance))) thnx a lot for any explanation!!!
Why does all the footage look as if it was shot in a mist?
Wtf the gopro image looked better before you turned up the brightness. I like the contrast between the green and the black. Just my opinion.

Great GoPro Hero 4 Black review. The GoPro Hero 4 Black really is a great GoPro camera but it really is true, GoPro changing the battery again in the release of the GoPro Hero 4 Black is really disappointing. I still bought a GoPro Hero 4 Black so I can't be that disappointed :-)

So you was able to get more than an hr out of the battery. Crap I got this and in scared to open the package.. battery life is a major when your on a bike. Wonder if I can plug in a steady power source and not worry about time limits

Well I opened it and im pissed. Less than an hr at 720 and I dont have a 4k tv. Plus a max of 64gb sd mini sux. My phone is 139gb....pffft. im taking it back

Well I took it back and swapped for the hero 3 plus silver. I think its gonna be good but I dont have a tv thats 1080p. Good thing I have a gaming laptop. I think I like it but the battery life is still sorta crappy. But I saw this awesome giant car battery for it and im gonna grab it. 8m actually playing with it right now and it looks good at night. Srill the true test is on my bike and its colder than ever out here so that may have to wait
