Nice one, some really good info. Especially in regards to the heat escaping from the back. Something a lot people wouldn't think of. I just assumed the other panel was a spare.
Heba Attar The Ultra is a much lower speed and is not fast enough for the GoPro data rate - hence at higher resolutions or frame rates you may find it just stops recording since the card cannot write data fast enough. The Extreme is a much faster card and can cope with all resolution and frame rate settings the GoPro can throw at it - all at the highest bitrates.
iftibashir I haven't had any issues with the SanDisk Ultra cards yet, I've only had the camera for a few days but have done quite a bit of recording already. Will there be any other symptoms I should be looking for (other than the recording stopping) such as stuttering? I bought the SanDisk Ultra cards on recommendation from the place I purchased the camera. I'm only recording at 1080p @ 60fps.

I've had my Go Pro for about 4 or 5 years now and all this time I thought I had a Go Pro Silver. It turns out I have the Go Pro black. I kept wondering why mine didn't have the screen on the back like the other Go Pro Silvers did. I looked everywhere on the box and it only mentioned once in very small letters that this model was the Go Pro Black. They should make that distinction very clear on the box and every place they can so people don't get confused and mixed up. I thought it was called the Go Pro Silver because the camera was Silver. I thought the other was called Go Pro Black because the camera was black. Thanks to your video after all this time I discovered I have the black model.

Hello i just bought a hero4 silver and i'm a real gopro noob. Can anyone tell me why when i take selfies or just a normal picture under single shot while holding it with my hand, the picture comes out so blur? Also, there is kinda a 1 sec lag time from the time i press the shutter button and the time the picture get captured. How do i take a photo immediately once i depress the shutter button? What a nice camera and complete menus when compared to my 3 White. However, at a very low cost one can find a used 3+Black and I’m still tempted: it will work with my screen, batteries and diver case and ND and polarizer filters.
+iftibashir I just got one last night and watched a few videos and your video was the only one that showed how to cut off the stand nicely and most of all I couldn't figure out how to turn off the blue blinking LED light after turning off the GoPro which I found out how to and was the wifi light thanks to your video! I showed my buddy with a GoPro your video too, she said thanks also!
I would like to use my hero 4 silver on all day fishing trips, if I use it in the quick capture setting and just use the top shutter button to switch it on and off to video any fish I am landing and weighing etc. would it drain the battery or would I need to switch it off on the front mode button (which would be a pain when I want to release the fish as soon as possible.) What is the function of the display on the front of the gopro silver 4? Is it really needed if you have the lcd screen on the backside? I was at a pawn shop and they had a gopro4 silver where the front screen was damaged and I was looking for a way to get a gopro inexpensively. Thanks

Bitrate is limited on the Ultra cards also.

Good tip that one about that using the skeleton backdoor to keep the waterproof in good conditions!

I've also had no problems with Sandisk ultra cards & was recommended them by a friend who has always used them.

2021 and still using my Gopro Hero 4 Silvers. Best gopro that came out. Only thing it lacks is stabilization.
