The Austin City Limits Hall of Fame recognizes both performing artists and special individuals who have been instrumental in making the long-running show a music institution.
The 2016 ACL Hall of Fame inductees were celebrated at a ceremony held October 12, 2016, at ACL's studio home, Austin’s ACL Live at The Moody Theater. Performers included Willie Nelson, Mavis Staples, Rodney Crowell, Gary Clark Jr., Billy Gibbons, B.B. King Band, Taj Mahal, and Eve Monsees. Comedy super couple Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally served as emcees for the evening.
The Austin City Limits Hall of Fame is located at The Moody Theater and consists of a photo gallery, timeline/anthology mural, and an interactive online library of Austin City Limits content.

Bonnie is a legend and was one of a small handful of women that paved the way for women in music. She jumped out of the box and wasn’t ever going to be just a pretty lady with a pretty voice, she’s the whole package of true musician. And please don’t knock Gary Clark Jr., remember that he is a baby compared to Bonnie and the crowd of musicians that he admires and holds in high regard. I am thrilled that the younger generation is keeping this style relevant and molding their styles from the Masters. Watch GCJ perform with Tom Petty and you can see the respect and admiration he gives.
As soon as you start thinking "Well, Gary is cool", she begins to play and it helps you remind who is the A series of the blues and who is not.
The last note she plays blows my mind every time.I’m so glad that I found Bonnie again 😃

great tribute to the late Legend BBKing, both of these artists are wonderful examples of their blues styles. Bonnie Raitt is an iconic legend of slides sensuous blues and the her vocals mimic the sadness and melancholy of her slide playing, Gary is a great blues picker and his singing will only get deeper and better as he ages, he is the real deal as well, they flow so well together as we saw on the BB KING tribute at the Grammy awards along with Chris Stapleton singing this same song...
