What an incredible lens. I will be buying this camera in 2 weeks for bird photography. Once I master what to do, I will sell my Nikon F4 camera and lenses.

Too bad the the DL advanced compact line of cameras were cancelled. There are people who are looking for 1", M43, APSC, FF compact with fixed (zoom and/or prime) lens. Damn, found out elsewhere, it's got the same restrictive limitation to EV as the P900 had (which was why I got rid of that), you cannot for example set ISO-3200 and have a 30 sec shutter speed, at ISO-100 you can have 30 sec, at ISO-200 you are limited to 15 sec and at ISO-400 it's limited to 8 sec and so on, hopeless for deep space objects, meteor showers etc, Oh well
P900 is gud .... P1000, the given 125x zooming blurr... And we should prepare with a gud tripod ... It's problem to carrying everywhere... I think u r ryt 😹
Yeah, it is working hard to push out that massive lens. But the lens is impressive though :-) Well at least zooming out a few miles will never distract your subject.
@@ibdaramy5455 I had the P900 for quite some time, I really loved it actually but it just had a few issues that meant it wasn't right for me. Most of those seem to be gone from the P1000 (although not all) but sadly they have priced themselves out of the small sensor market for me. I would have much rather Nikon used the same body and optic as the P900 but brought an all new processing, sensor, phase change focusing, high speed buffer... for around the £500 mark, not a £1000 lens tech demo. Just my opinion though.
Mine p1000 have a noticeable internal noise, and only right speaker sound when mic in( single channel only ). I think Nikon have a problem with their manufacturer and try to cheap sell these defective product with lower price.
When zooming out that far, you are not going to need the sound, so turn off the sound or no sound is needed when taking stills. So there is nothing to be ashamed about. You are dealing with a massive lens, so that is the price for a 3000mm (120x) optical zoom lens. The Nikon P1000 is an amazing camera.
What makes you say that? If you say that due to the zoom in quality not being better quality you have remember it's because of how far your zooming in. Even 8k picture/video looks crappy if you zoom in enough if you look at the quality when he's not zoomed in that the best video quality which is very clean.

After watching the video, I have only one thing to say - You have VERY steady hands. Shooting handheld at max zoom even with EIS is an amazing feat.
I already have the P900 (five months now) and watching this video I will get the P1000 in addition. Good job, thanks for sharing.

The stabilisation seems quite good but V NOISY zoom. Or am I wrong? I have old bridge Nikon P510 42x zoom and it isn't near as noisy.

Turn off the sound when zooming, it is that simple. And besides, when taking stills, there will be no sound anyway.
An external mic solves it.

It does. Turn it to manual focus and use the ring to manual focus.
