Hey folks! Since this video is taking off a few years down the road, I just wanted to drop a message. Thank you so so much for all your kind words. I'm speechless. This channel has always been something I've done time-permitting and evolved between different subjects. Most of all I'm really passionate about design projects. Interiors, products, anything thoughtful created. So in the next few months, stay tuned for more videos. I'm starting a blog and newsletter on lunationlab.com. I'm moving soon and will have a whole office space ready for projects. Exciting stuff! Talk soon. -Jackson
Absolutely love the format of this. Straight to the point while staying classy and ADHD friendly.
absolutely came in clutch with showing the color cord company. that's gonna help with quite a few projects coming up!
the algo has picked you up, great vid! love how it came out
How the hell do you not have soooo many more subscribers? Magnificent video, perfectly executed and so high quality. Love your calm tone of voice. And you still deliver excitement for the topic. Absolutely awesome!
Thought the same!
Thought that too da hell?
Right? The video is as if it was made by a channel as big as Architectural Digest
Quick tip to avoid the splitting of the wood. Drill pilot holes in the wood before using the wood screws. Pilot holes are drilled with drill bits that are typically the diameter of the screw minus the threads. Seems like more steps but it goes quick. And since the base board was mdf you only need the pilot holes in the wood.
Thanks for the tip! I do have small drill bits I could have done that with. You're totally right.
Came here to say the same thing ... a year late :) also get a countersink bit. I love my countersunk screws. So smooth--significant upgrade in how my projects feel
Such an amazing video . . Not just the content but the technical aspects of the video are top-notch. Great job . . Hope you grow your channel.
Your channel is super under rated , the editing and cinematography is amazing! Keep up the good work
Never thought Ill be getting interior design advice from Ray Gillette :O Awesome
THANK YOU for explaining everything super clearly and adding the amazing graphics.
Thank you for being as detailed . . makes all the difference between actually accomplishing it and getting merely halfway done.
videos like yours is the reason why youtube is a treasure trove. I have no doubt your channel will grow big. Many thanks from Asia
So easy, such a nice look! Woaw 👌🏻
This is a great idea and I may figure out a way to do this is my next renovation. Good job !
That’s a great idea! I will reproduce it for my living room. Thanks!
This is awesome!
Well explained!
This video is great. Dracula is the best person for design a room lighting.
This video is exactly what I was looking for. Love your channel!
Thank you!
The same logic with indirect lighting here can be applied to projectors over televisions. 75” projection image will always look more pleasing than a 75” tv shining light directly into your face.
nice. tat would also make a cool lighted picture frame.
Only took me a minute or two to realise he wasnt talking about Roger Deakins' cove lighting...
Can’t wait for the masterclass!
"Jackson Casimiro teaches overthinking."
gorgeous
I need to do this ASAP
beautiful job jxn🥰
Thank you! 🤗
Indeed, it's a good, informative video I was looking for. I'm surprised it has so few likes. Thank you!
Thank you!
You just need to drill a pilot hole before screwing or use drywall screws instead
Love the design, and the design in the video. Handsome guy as well.
Can't say I disagree.
We moved out of the hood to a condo and the upstairs bedrooms don't have ceiling lights.
You'd think I'd be bummed but id take no ceiling lights over being in our old neighborhood anyway and it gives me the perfect opp to set up a rwnter friendly indirect led lighting
Great video! Kudos for the Marin, I have a 2021 Muirwoods! Cheers!
Thanks! The only bike I've owned that my fiancée likes the look in our living room.
i think some warmer light like 2700k would have fitted better but it still looks awsome
Echoing what everyone said already: Nice build, you’ve got a super soothing voice and vibe, clean editing look - definitely checking out more videos and subscribing! // I am curious: How is this to clean, since the baseboard doesn’t sit flush with the wall? Do you just vacuum with an extension behind the board?
Thank you very much. I'm still here and planning on getting back into it! I adding a couple photos to answer your question in the article: lunation.cc/m3w
welcome back to youtube ♥️
I guess we'll never know
How would you do this for a place with existing baseboards?
My goodness! You're gorgeous.
this looks sick and it's surprisingly cheaper than I thought
You can also skip the dimmer, wiring, and barrel connectors, making it only $61.
Whaat?? Absolutely high level editing!!! How did you do those section split and wiring schemes?
Thank you! All custom in After Effects.

Do you find that dirt/lint gets trapped within the gap?
Would love to see the angle where the gap is visible, to gauge how noticeable it is.
💡
Great question. I added a couple photos to answer in the article: lunation.cc/m3w
if you pre drill the holes for the screws you wont have that problem :)
How did you fasten the base board to the wall?
It just uses the corner moulding as a stand, so it just sits up against the wall. Friendly for renters.
How you manage the separation from the wall? How far is it?
Great question. I added a couple photos in the article to demonstrate. In my case it's about 8mm just from the bowing of the board. lunation.cc/m3w
How high were you while recording this? Great video btw
wait, does the baseboard stick out from the wall? Like is there a gap
Yes, sorry if there was any confusion there. I posted some images in the article that better show the gap when against the wall. lunation.cc/m3w
That remote is 20 bucks???
holy shit it took you almost exactly 10 minutes to say "diffuse light better," Christ.
