We should all congratulate Micah for his dedicated and worthy effort to help people impacted by the recent snows in California! I just read in AOPA that Mica, working with CaliDART, used his helicopter to deliver supplies to isolated mountain towns. Although I live on the east coast I want to be among the first to congratulate and thank Micah for his hard work and fantastic flying!
Patrick, I really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a kind comment. I've always wondered if my flying skills would help in an emergency. Amazingly the answer was yes! I'm grateful I was able to help my mountain community. Cheers!
A couple of insights - you all flew by Carrillo National Monument on the end of Point Loma, and those aren't "oil" tanks - it a sewage processing plant.
Best memories of San Diego: -taking my wife in 2014 and watching the sunset from the Point Loma observatory. -getting dropped of at the front gate of NAS North Island after a night of drinking, and devouring copious amounts of Del Taco to try and sober up enough to navigate the carrier’s quarterdeck and pass out in my bunk.
I'm a current Navy submariner stationed in San Diego. Managed to get my helicopter PPL here, navigating the Class B maze shenanigans was a "trial by fire" training environment and I loved every second of it. Nowadays I rent a R22 once a month or so and fly to Julian Pie Company or Oceanside for dates with my wife. I gotta be honest though, San Diego isn't really that special to me, even from the air. A lot of brown, a lot of dirt, a lot of rocks. Rented a R44 for a trip to Catalina, which was nice, but I'm looking forward to moving to Washington soon, which is believe is significantly more beautiful. Looking forward to seeing it from the air.
WHOO HOO Finally more aviation content! I've been flying tons more myself lately. Look at that Bravo airspace, sheesh! Orlando and Tampa bravo isn't bad, Miami just extended their bravo this year. Please more of these fun around the state flights with your family! I don't know about Helos but maybe there is some groups that do big tours like this together you can get in on. I'd love to see Northern Cali, no one really talks about that stuff. Keep em commin!
Flying through LAX can feel intimidating but it's SO simple compared to San Diego. I'm glad our first time was in a pack. And yes to adventures further from SoCal!!
My birthplace at the Navy Hospital in the early 1970s. I lived there until around 1980/81 when we moved to the East Coast. Lived in Lakeside and La Mesa and have cousins that still live in Santee. I visited there a couple years ago and went to Point Loma, La Jolla, the Zoo, Sea World etc. Since I was a little kid when I lived there I didn’t remember it being so hilly.
I love San Diego, i lived in Clairemont just up from Mission Bay....i miss the food. also at 6:15 to the exact right of the camera cord you can see 4 white buildings next to the canyon, thats where i used to live, I worked for a medical company that flew me all over the US. Loved the video
I went to Navy bootcamp in San Diego. That city has gotten more beautiful since then. I remember snorkeling at La Jolla cove and body surfing at Mission beach. I was 20 then and 69 now. The bootcamp is completely gone now with mostly apartment buildings in its place. Please do more Helicopter trips.
I’m a subscriber from the UK 🇬🇧 and I love you videos. I was excited to watch this one as my late auntie lived in San Diego and we used to vacation there when I was a kid. In fact I think you might have flown over her old house just before you flew over San Diego Intl Airport. Keep up the good work and can’t wait to see more videos like this.
Definitely need more family R44 trips... but this caravan of choppers is quite special. Hopefully you get to chase that dream of a MD 500 series bird again, Micah. 😀
Glad to see you guys flying again. I lived in San Diego for 4 years and I loved being there, so seeing it from above was even better. Thanks for making this flight because it brought back so many good memories of America's Finest City.
One of the best helicopter videos you have done. Admittedly, I am biased because San Diego is my hometown. So, more San Diego videos, please! It is so beautiful and a helicopter is one of the best ways to see the city. Would love to fly helicopters myself someday. Loved all of your previous LA videos too, but this one was special for me. Love you guys and love the channel. (like the cars reviews a lot too!)
Another great Muzio production. This was fun. And it's hard for navy ships, pirate ships, cliffs and roller coasters from 500'+ to compete with a good cinnamon bun.
Wow,so pretty guys! Unbelievable on the flat screen, San Diego will be a destination for sure. Can't believe the development that has occurred. So much to see,but you guys make it nice and easy to see such beautiful place. Thanks can't wait for next one. Be watching since the beginning. More, more, more!!! Hi kiddo and family. Devo on the block.
Well, the flight wouldn't have been nearly as fun without the brilliant optical clarity and unsurpassed comfort of Flying Eyes eyewear. Brand integration!!
13:15 That be some _expensive_ real estate down there in La Jolla. Before I joined the Navy I worked a gas station in La Jolla, and there wasn't a dog property in the bunch. This is _UPPER_ upper-crust. If you didn't buy here prior to about 1960 you're outta luck.
Wow!!! What a fantastic tour! Absolutely beautiful! You were so lucky with the weather...Visibility could not have been better! I haven't been to San Diego in years, but I had a great time and I remember staying at the Intercontinental Hotel at that time. Such a fun and beautiful city! Thanks so much for taking us along for the ride!
San Diego is by far the trendiest city in California. I have nothing but good memories living there. Shortly after we were married my wife worked at Hotel del Coronado while I was stationed at NAS North Island. I lived in Rancho Bernardo before that and at that time I had the best of both worlds -- bustling city life and a rural setting just 20 or so miles apart.
San Diego, CA - my best duty station in the US Navy; saw my high-rise apartment when I lived in Little Italy; thanks for creating this video; fly safe always.
Wow Muzio's!!!! That was so cool to watch. San Diego is a favorite of mine and seeing it from above, in a 5 helicopter formation, takes it to a whole new exciting level. Well done and I hope you get to realise your 500 ownership dream soon.
Micah, exceptional video, and so happy that your "family wagon" kept up with the turbine guys. Safe travels, and would love to see more of these type videos. Your daughter is growing up SO fast!
10:34 The two Quonset hangars was where I worked when I was in the Navy and stationed at North Island -- eons ago. I was attached to a helicopter squadron and it appears that's where they're home-basing their HS squadrons even now, 45 years later.
My uncle was crew member aboard the U.S.S Midway (CV-41) when it was stationed in Japan. I was stationed there in San Diego at NASNI (Naval Air Station North Island) as a jet engine mechanic with VS-33 SCREWBIRDS! Thanks for sharing the video of San Diego. Love the Jet Rangers & the MD-500! Fly safe👍🏼
great video Micah. I've been waiting for you to come check out my stomping ground! Looks like we decided to do the bay tour on the same day haha. I heard myself at 12:00 in 544SW.
In 2015 I was in San Diego, I was walking down the street and bumped into Conan O'Brien and chatted with him as I walked along, such a cool dude indeed!
Glad to see more aviation videos! And I love that you left so much of the air traffic comms in the video too, really adds to the immersion and helps others understand all the logistics involved in flying.
What a great tour, it is so nice to see your family and the other people having such fantastic experiences! The flight of 5 makes so much sense, I did not know that ATC would do that, but it likely helped them as much as it helped you.
Yay so happy to see a new heli video! Really missed them! So cool flying in a group! Been to San Diego once and absolutely loved it. From the northeast so obviously lol great work muzio fam!
Enjoyed watching your video. I came up with your video when I was researching about which is better to fly airplane or helicopter. My husband is trying to get his license to be private pilot but I am more interested in Helicopter. I am going to try my discovery flight soon! Thanks for the video. And I used to live in San Diego, its so beatiful there. I also loved how you flew with other helicopters. I think that was so cool!
From a cost perspective airplanes make a lot more sense. But from a pure joy perspective, flying helicopters can't be beat. Whichever you choose, I hope you have a wonderful discovery flight. Cheers!!
We should all congratulate Micah for his dedicated and worthy effort to help people impacted by the recent snows in California! I just read in AOPA that Mica, working with CaliDART, used his helicopter to deliver supplies to isolated mountain towns. "Oil refinery" is the Pt Loma Wastewater Treatment Plant.
A couple of insights - you all flew by Carrillo National Monument on the end of Point Loma, and those aren't "oil" tanks - it a sewage processing plant.
Thanks, that is what I thought. Of course without a refinery and tanks somewhere the helicopter wouldn't be of much use!
SD is a fabulous city.
Best memories of San Diego:
-taking my wife in 2014 and watching the sunset from the Point Loma observatory.
-getting dropped of at the front gate of NAS North Island after a night of drinking, and devouring copious amounts of Del Taco to try and sober up enough to navigate the carrier’s quarterdeck and pass out in my bunk.
Omg, that’s cool. It’s literally cruising through the skies. Much better than any car cruises through traffic.
Beautiful town...but expensive like the rest of the state. Nice to see Cabrillo Monument from the sky, I was there on Thanksgiving.
Yes! Been waiting for more aviation content. Thank you for everything you do Micah and family

Really liked this one! I have been to San Diego many times so it was great to see the city from 500 feet!
Nice to see you back flying Micah. Very nice video. San Diego is quite a place.
My birthplace at the Navy Hospital in the early 1970s. I lived there until around 1980/81 when we moved to the East Coast. Lived in Lakeside and La Mesa and have cousins that still live in Santee. I love your aviation videos and specially this video because San Diego County is my hometown!😃✌🏼
Really enjoyed the video. It was fun to hear the radio thank you
Favorite memory Balboa Park and San Diego zoo
Glad to see more tour. Please make one in Hollywood
I was just out there for the weekend
My memory was in 2015 when the chargers played their last game in San Diego before moving to Los Angeles
"Should we do more of these helicopter adventure videos?" - YES PLEASE, they are fantastic!
Glad you finally got to do this. I always take visitors and folks new to aviation on the bay tour and it never gets old.
I went to Navy bootcamp in San Diego. That city has gotten more beautiful since then. I remember snorkeling at La Jolla cove and body surfing at Mission beach. I was 20 then and 69 now. Kid just eating seaweed in the back!! Awesome haha
This reminds me of that scene from Apacolypes Now.
Nice upload. the music at the end was like Bond Movie and seeing all the choppers flying like on a mission. Sightseeing mission!
Awesome!
The 500 is my favourite chopper as well.
Was so good to finally get to fly in one in Hawaii doors off front seat. So exciting🤣
My favorite memory of San Diego is ...Wait! I've never been there 😢
Definitely need more family R44 trips... but this caravan of choppers is quite special. Hopefully you get to chase that dream of a MD 500 series bird again, Micah. 😀
Great video, nice work!
More helicopters adventures, off course!
Now let's go fly:)! Very good video for Sunday morning... Thank you for this excursion!
Thanks for joining us!
Glad to see you guys flying again. I lived in San Diego for 4 years and I loved being there, so seeing it from above was even better. Thanks for making this flight because it brought back so many good memories of America's Finest City.
Another amazing video!!!!! More please!

Another great Muzio production. This was fun. And it's hard for navy ships, pirate ships, cliffs and roller coasters from 500'+ to compete with a good cinnamon bun.
Beautiful, reminds me of sailing on San Diego bay.
Wow, what a beautiful looking city!
Wow,so pretty guys! Unbelievable on the flat screen, San Diego will be a destination for sure. Can't believe the development that has occurred. That was great! Thank you!!!
Great, do more of these kind of rides, San Diego has a beautiful skyline
San Diego has such a special place in my heart!
Love it here!
The walk between Mission Beach and Pacific Beach is my favorite.
Thanks ❤️
We really really really really really really really really loved this video! 😎
Well, the flight wouldn't have been nearly as fun without the brilliant optical clarity and unsurpassed comfort of Flying Eyes eyewear. Brand integration!!

What a beautiful tour and excellent editing. I don't believe visibility gets better than this, either.

Wonderful views! Thank you for sharing!
Yay!!! Keep the flights comin!!! We love your flights with the fam😊
Great video Micah, flying around in my old stomping grounds...
Thank you for the ride
That was AMAZING! Great perspective to the area I've had so much fun in!
This is one of the nicest videos I’ve ever watched! Thank you, Micah!
That was a great video. 👍
San Diego, CA - my best duty station in the US Navy; saw my high-rise apartment when I lived in Little Italy; thanks for creating this video; fly safe always.

Nice to see a flying video again. More of these please.
The pirate ship is a replica of Juan Cabrillo's ship that reached San Diego Bay in 1542. It was built right next to San Diego Bay (on land of course.)
10:34 The two Quonset hangars was where I worked when I was in the Navy and stationed at North Island -- eons ago. I was attached to a helicopter squadron and it appears that's where they're home-basing their HS squadrons even now, 45 years later.
Excellent video, glad to see aviation back!
That was spectacular! Now I wish I had made it to California even more.
My uncle was crew member aboard the U.S.S Midway (CV-41) when it was stationed in Japan. That was amazing!! Such beautiful sceneries and perfect weather 😊 thanks for taking us along
Been waiting on the helicopter videos 😂
Pretty cool flight. I saw my old aircraft carrier I worked on. The U.S.S Carl Vinson (CVN-70).
Nice video 😊
Love San Diego…went to USMC boot camp there and later fly out of NAS North Island!
Pirate ship for sure and KSAN fly over. Definitely do more formation flights.
Now that was cool! Too bad we couldn't see MCAS Miramar with all the fighters.
In 2015 I was in San Diego, I was walking down the street and bumped into Conan O'Brien and chatted with him as I walked along, such a cool dude indeed!
Great to see you made it down here to San Diego. It's definitely a place to fly on the weekend, during the week the airspace gets really crowded.
7:36 That is USS Midway, which is now a floating museum.
That cinnamon roll must've been pretty darn good to upstage San Diego!
Thanks for a helicopter video, I really appreciate your helicopter videos.
That's really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really hard, but you get a 5 from me
Glad to see more aviation videos! And I love that you left so much of the air traffic comms in the video too, really adds to the immersion and helps others understand all the logistics involved in flying.
It sure was beautiful from up there. Surprised your could fly around the aircraft carriers.
What a great tour, it is so nice to see your family and the other people having such fantastic experiences! The flight of 5 makes so much sense, I did not know that ATC would do that, but it likely helped them as much as it helped you.
That was pretty cool, thanks!
Great Video, Greetings from Cologne 🚁
😮😊❤😅😅this is great thanks
Very cool.....my 1st ride along in a chopper.
I was waiting for a 'heroes dont take the stairs moment'
Well done.
Great video guys but really missing my weekly car review.
FAA needs to require that ALL 500's be painted in Magnum P.I. colors.
I support this!!
Finally 🤩been waiting for this kinda videos
Yay so happy to see a new heli video! Really missed them! So cool flying in a group! Been to San Diego once and absolutely loved it. From the northeast so obviously lol great work muzio fam!
We're excited to make more heli content. Thanks for your support!
Oddly the best Chinese food I’ve had in Southern California was in San Diego
That was awesome!
I’m really only here for the Heli content!
Although I did use you for Outback Wilderness and WRX reviews.
Hello Chris
Been 4 months since a flying video, any coming soon?
I always loved the multiple camera view from the Enstrom
Awseome vid. My home town! How long did it take you to cut this together. Nice Job.
"Probably the cinnamon roll"
Enjoyed watching your video. I came up with your video when I was researching about which is better to fly airplane or helicopter. My husband is trying to get his license to be private pilot but I am more interested in Helicopter. I am going to try my discovery flight soon! Thanks for the video. From a cost perspective airplanes make a lot more sense. But from a pure joy perspective, flying helicopters can't be beat. Whichever you choose, I hope you have a wonderful discovery flight. Cheers!!
Why is it that I feel Flight of The Valkyries should be playing? Anyway thanks for the video.
10:52 - LOL, did you just double Evie's editing time having to figure them all out and do the text :P
At any point, did you fight the urge to hum the Ride of the Valkryies?
Great video! Did you ever go below 400ft into drone territory? I would be so scared someone would be flying a drone on those shorelines.
