JetRanger 206 Would be my favorite as it always reminds me of the incredible flying scenes in Terminator 2 that blew me away as a Kid. Otherwise the 500. It's a sexy machine.
Awesome video. I'm still smiling after watching it. The coolest non-Muzio whirlybird would be the '500' ...it just looks so badass in black. Micah, please don't be upset with the following comment, as your R44 is so cool, but it looks like something from The Jetsons 😁👍
Brings back many memories. I flew fixed wings up until 2004. 'Been thinking about getting back into flying, again. Who knows, maybe this time it'll be helicopters. Those MD 500's sure look sweet. I've loved those babies ever since I first laid eyes on them. Never been up in a chopper, though, even though I lived in Hawaii most of my life. Used to watch the Magnum P.I. MD 500 flying around during their filming flights. My son used to work ground crew for Magnum Helicopters, but I just never had the opportunity/time to go up in one. I sure do love the look of 'em, though. Who knows, maybe, some day. Love your videos, especially the one you did on the MD 500. This video was fun to watch, also. I've often imagined what a kick it would be to just "drop in" somewhere out of the sky, say, for a burger and a coke; then, just jump back in your sky chariot and zoom off to your next adventure. Keep it up. I'll be watching.
i'm a fixed wing pilot but have a lot of hours in UH-1H in the military... and always wanted to get my rotary wing license... now i'm 70 with heart issues so it may be more of a challenge... love you video and now i've subscribed
I'm trying to make up my mind what is more decadent... flying to a pie shop... or they pies they have on offer! We have plenty of bakeries in my country (New Zealand) and of course many of those places may feature pies or tarts... but nothing quite like this... someone should start a business here like this place... there's definitely a niche market for it and would be something different. I've never tried pecan pie or pumpkin pie for example!
Always love the MD500 the helicopter has such a long history from military applications to being used with law enforcement and movies and television. Didn’t know that Julian was a great destination for helicopter 🚁 pilots 👍😃🚁 excellent edit.
I flew the 500s in the Army When I was with 160th SOAR. Id have to say that my favorite is the 505 because of the simplistic control layout. And, from what im told this is a very easy and comfortable bird to fly.
I can confirm how easy it is to fly. The first time I had the controls of a 500 I was able to hold a steady hover with zero fuss. It's simultaneously maneuverable and super stable. Such a cool aircraft.
I like the MD 500. Just got back from Oahu where we took the magnum pi heli tour in “TC’s chopper”. You have a great lookin family. Fly safe. Merry Christmas
The MD 500 is my favorite but I'm bias...I used to land on Vulcan Mountain at our cabin just east of Julian Pie company where you guys were. This was many years ago with my dad when he was still alive. We flew out of Palomar airport. Dad was a Army helicopter pilot in Vietnam . He owned and sold many different MD 500's and 600N Notars over the years. Love the helicopter videos ! Nice job!
Great video great to see you guys flying again, formation flying was amazing, never seen a 505 before cool looking copter, please keep the heli videos coming.
Another great video. The cinematography and editing are great. As for favorite helicopters in this video, the 500. I am a sucker for the 500 series. Tickles my Magnum P.I. (Original not the remake BS). As for pies, pumpkin.
Thanks again guys for another really good video. I’ve been watching your videos for years my two favorites are with the Magnum PI 500 And the other 500 up at Big Bear. I don’t why I wasn’t subscribed? I thought I was. I want to win the lottery and get a new MD530F because why not have something that you can push to the limits and live. Any way thanks again for another great flying adventure video with excellent video, sound, music, shots, flying/ operation over and to cool locations.
More, more, more, flying it's so good for my heart to see so cal so differently from air,you gotta keep doing this,it's so good for our memories of so. Cal. Up north now hangtown can. It would be nice to see video of eldorado county from you you got something special micha,we love your work.
Just subscribed and wanted to answer your question about what bird was my favorite. I've always been a huge fan of the Bell 206 Jet Ranger. I mean come on, Hawaii Five O had one, all the biggest rock bands used one, beautiful lines, reliable, and a spacious interior. What more can you ask for... I was lucky enough to actually fly in one down in Jacksonville years ago with a pilot that was filming on one of Tom Cruise's movies and Tom had been sitting in my seat the day before.... Now that's cool. Getting back to your question. It's pretty obvious the coolest chopper in the lineup was the MD 500E. I mean come on, look at the lines on that bird. They say it's the Lamborghini of helicopters for a good reason. Fast and wicked, that gloss Black looked amazing... Next would be your R44. Gorgeous color, great lines, incredibly reliable, very fast and extremely user friendly from everything I've seen. Next would be the Bell 206, again it's a JET RANGER... The name alone says it all. I love the classic paint scheme on it, who wouldn't love that bird. As for the Bell 505X, I'm sure without a doubt it's an incredible helicopter and does everything you want and then some. It's just not as sexy as the others... That wrap around windshield is undoubtably incredible for all visual purposes but takes away from the overall look I think, again just my opinion. All super nice choppers that I'm sure are a pleasure to fly. Cool video with the formation, love to see footage of the 500E side by side...
The MD500E will always be one of my favorites due to it's smooth flying while still being extremely agile. The 505 has some nice avionics. The Robinson scares the daylights outta me. Too squirrelly and I really don't like the possibility of a mast bump.
I've gone for a few lessons in R22's but they honestly scare the crap out of me and it's one big reason why I'm not gonna continue my lessons until I make more money to afford something I can feel safe in.
Micah I remember when you were selling the Enstrom and looking for a new helicopter, just wondering if you took rotor whistle into consideration when buying an R44 ☺️🤭 since I was a child I've loved the B206, as helicopters go you can not find a more iconic Helicopter than the old Jetranger, however the 505 is everything the old Jetranger wasn't, yes the Bell 206A was sleek back in 1967 but the broom closet never aged very well and I can't believe it's still in 407s. The 505 is a crisp new modern design, I'm glad bell finally strapped a turbomeca/safran lump in there with the dual channel fadec, for ease of start up and overall reduced pilot workload etc but you can't beat a 500 either 🤣 love the 500D/E the sound is just beyond impressive.
Best helicopter video yet with that formation! My favorite helicopter in the world will always be the Hughes/MD 500 series, so for this video the 500E "wins". Many love the "Ferrari of the skies". I love your R44 too of course because they are so popular. Locally we have many R44 and R22 birds and I even saw an R66 a couple days ago. I always look forward to your helicopter videos... this one sure did not disappoint! 🙂🚁
Very nice video, I love the different type of helicopters in this video especially the MD500 which is by far my favorite. I've been up with our police department in 08 and 09 in their MD500E helicopter as a Columbus Police Explorer when I were 15/16 years old. Im 30 now, but man was that the best time of my life. Ill be goin back up with em next week sometime after all these years, so im excited. Currently in Flight School out of Delaware OH even though I took a break from it since 2021, but still got my log book cause I'll be back at it soon. I get to pilot the Schweizer 269C, not very comfy considering I'm 6'4 but it's enjoyable atleast till I obtain my private license 1st in hopes to 1 day upgrade to a Commercial so I can Apply with Columbus police and fly for their helicopter unit. I subscribed to your channel, so I'll be tuned in with you guys, family time is always the way to go for me, cool video bud! 😎👊🏻🤝🍻🥧🍽
I think for me the 500 wins, just on cool points! It would be cool to be there and watch the 'helicopter gang' come in to land and/or take off! As for pie, I like apple, and chocolate cream pie. However, I don't know as though I've ever met a pie I didn't like!!
Very cool, as a fellow fixed-wing guy, every time I see your videos I want to pick up my lessons in a rotor again if it would just not be so darn expensive ... one day!
What do you think about our new approach to helicopter videos? 👍 or 👎
Sorely missed these ones. Change is always good!
Loved it! Looking forward to more!
Love them! So excited to see Micah Flies return
2 thumbs up guys!!!
Three thumbs up! 😄
My favourite Helicopter today is MD500 I called the flying egg. Lol 😂 😂😂
A family that flies together pies together! Love the family flying videos.....and oh yes Pecan pie for this southern boy
Indeed! Pecan pie with Fig Newtons are great together with Rocky Road ice cream. Yum!
I happen to love the apple crumb pie.
that is just an awesome way to go get pie... all of the choppers are far out... pecan pie. grin. --- Former medic Vietnam 1972.
I have always been a sucker for the MD500! Such a great look and sound.
MD500 Little Bird for the win!
This is the most wholesome corner of the internet..and im here for it
JetRanger 206 Would be my favorite as it always reminds me of the incredible flying scenes in Terminator 2 that blew me away as a Kid. Otherwise the 500. It's a sexy machine.
Oh, man. That T2 206 scene blew my mind.
I'll have the MD-500 and key lime.😉 Good one Micah.
Love them all! The 500 sounds incredible, 505 looks modern, 206 a legend and the 44 gets you to the pie shop!
The md500 is an amazing machine. Super reactive on the controls and loads of power. Also really beautiful
Very nice video Micah. Nice to see you back flying again in the warm California sunshine.😎
Always loved the MD500 but learned on the Robinson
I worked for Robinson for 27 years but still love the 500, rhubarb pie for the win!
Coolest helicopter of the day would be the MD500, mainly for the Magnum PI connection.
Favourite pie would be a lasagna pie in a scotch pie case.
I like the flow of the video. Formation flying looks cool. The 500 is pretty awesome.
Love to be flying the Faster Helio which of course the one I always wanted to own and Operate is the MD-500
Love the 500 so sleek
The MD500 series are always gonna be a favorite. 🥰
After your helicopter? The 500. Thanks for taking us along!
As a San Diegan that appreciates our mountain backcountry, I appreciate your love of Julian Pie!
The black 500 was amazing!
I've always been a huge fan of the MD-500 helicopter ever since I was a child
I've been in love with the MD500 my entire life, if I ever get a heli license would be to get one.
Favorite definitely the 500. I really like 3+ main rotor blade systems for good reasons.
The 206! A classic and one of my evergreen favourites!
The 500 helicopter hands down. I have thought that was the coolest helicopter ever since I seen it in the movie fire birds when I was a kid.
Loved the 500.
Man... it looks like tons of fun to ride around in a helicopter.
Even back in the 1990s car companies were doing vehicle intros in San Diego and going to the Julian Pie Company! Great roads there and excellent pie!
I'm proud to play a part in the auto industry's long obsession with pie. :)
Great to see the heli videos are back! 👍
Awesome video. I'm still smiling after watching it. The coolest non-Muzio whirlybird would be the '500' ...it just looks so badass in black. Micah, please don't be upset with the following comment, as your R44 is so cool, but it looks like something from The Jetsons 😁👍
The 500 is my favorite helicopter!

its about time
i'm a fixed wing pilot but have a lot of hours in UH-1H in the military... and always wanted to get my rotary wing license... now i'm 70 with heart issues so it may be more of a challenge... love you video and now i've subscribed
I'm envious of your UH-1 time. That sound!
Great video. Nice to see the Heli. I love all 4 but the 505 is amazing.
I do love me some MD500!
Cherry pie is my favorite. The MD 500 is my favorite helicopter. Flying in formation is the best way to fly. 🚁
I was looking forward to a new helicopter video!
Good format, entertaining as usual. Love the helicopter content.
Favorite? The MD-500 🙂
Wish there was a walk-around of the 500. Such a cool and sleek looking little thing. Too bad owner had to leave early.
👍🏼 love the 500. Pretty cool seeing the formation take off and flying too.
The 500 looked the coolest and "Apple Mountain Berry Pie" sounds insane.
Always love the MD500 the helicopter has such a long history from military applications to being used with law enforcement and movies and television. Didn’t know that Julian was a great destination for helicopter 🚁 pilots 👍😃🚁 excellent edit.
Formation flying is super cool!

The 206 & apple pie 🚁🥧 We love the classics 😎
Joe's 500E is the star at this meet up. To bad you couldn't talk with Joe, he is a great guy.
Did someone say pie??? Yes, please! What could be better than a helicopter ride to a pie fest with the Muzios?
this gives a "group ride" vibe to a whole notha level. great stuff.
Jeff’s comment that ‘you never stop learning’ - Amen to that, brother.
The MD 500 is my favorite but I'm bias...I used to land on Vulcan Mountain at our cabin just east of Julian Pie company where you guys were. Your bias is correct. The 500 is the best!
Love your photography, so crisp and clear. Btw, the Bell 505 is my favorite, with the MD 500 a close second.
Great video great to see you guys flying again, formation flying was amazing, never seen a 505 before cool looking copter, please keep the heli videos coming.
You know you flew right next to Jerry’s new pad on top oh the mountain? Also, don’t forget the bread and goodies at Dudley’s Bakery!
Thanks for another heli video! Love the black 500. Also love a cherry pie with vanilla ice cream.
Another great video. The cinematography and editing are great. As for favorite helicopters in this video, the 500. I am a sucker for the 500 series. Tickles my Magnum P.I. (Original not the remake BS). As for pies, pumpkin.
The 44 is an OK helicopter, but I do like the 500 much better, and the 206
The 500 is a awesome machine
Hope to visit Julian pies in March
HELLO 👋👋 THIS WAS A COOL.,👍👍 TAKING OFF TOGETHER 🚁🚁🚁 I'M A BIG FAN OF THE MD 500 LOVE THOSE HELICOPTER 💯💯 KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK 😎✌✌
Wow that MD500 is so awesome man, I love love those.
Thanks again guys for another really good video.
I’ve been watching your videos for years my two favorites are with the Magnum PI 500

Used to live in San Diego. Julian was an annual trip every winter, miss it!
Same for me I miss going to Julian
You know you're doing it right when your child understands the concept of a sterile cockpit 😊
The MD500E will always be one of my favorites due to it's smooth flying while still being extremely agile. The 505 has some nice avionics. The Robinson scares the daylights outta me. Too squirrelly and I really don't like the possibility of a mast bump.

@@deekamikaze I feel the same, had a few lessons in a 22, before I knew about mast bumping and the small safety margin
I have always loved the 206, although they are quite dated now they are still a beautiful aircraft.
A tie between the 206 and the MD500 for me.

Hands down the coolest of all the machines there was the
MD 500E.
Beautiful family, love your content even after I bought my Subaru, still watching.

I've got to agree. Flying in formation was a special treat! On that note, I think you're really going to dig our next heli video.
@@MicahMuzio 🤩
How do you mitigate tail boom strike in the R44? Pretty poor design, I would think, that it would be this susceptible to it.
MD 500 by far.
Great videos as always. I would like to fly one of those sometime
I swung through there in a R22 back in November. One of my favorite places to land off airport!
Great vid of what looked like a fun day of flying pies! The 505 seemed cool, and apple pie is my favorite when my mom makes it.
Very nice video, I love the different type of helicopters in this video especially the MD500 which is by far my favorite. Kiddo is getting big!
MD500 is the coolest! What dreams are made of ...
Love your work bro. Wish you safe skies. Thanks for this amazing channel.
Been a minute! Love Heli Content! It’s what brought me to your channel. That and your adorable family!!!
Glad your flying again - the last time I watch was when you had the old helicopter - nice new ride - If your flying I am watching
Awesome content! Love seeing the fam flying together
I liked them all (me being diplomatic), but because of the opening scene in For Your Eyes Only it's always going to be the Bell 206. Also, pecan pie.
Very cool, as a fellow fixed-wing guy, every time I see your videos I want to pick up my lessons in a rotor again if it would just not be so darn expensive ... one day!
That 500 is so clean my favorite
Pecan pie and ALL of those rotor machines !!!
Great video! Julien was part of my old stomping grounds!
I love your helicopter videos!
Next level video:)! Thoroughly, enjoyably fresh...
I love blueberry pie with ice cream on top.
Favorite Helicopter (for looks): MD 500E
Favorite Helicopter (for practicality): Bell 505
Favorite Pie: Huckleberry
All solid choices.
