That tool ya got for holding down the clutch is smart! I’ve tried fighting a brake depressor in but I’ve had bad luck with that, I usually toss the new guy in and tell him to hold the pedal lol
@@RCGdiesel I own a 2-ton light commercial truck. Everything is so micro compared to those of the giants you are servicing. But the layout of components are very similar. That's why your channel is still inpring to me.
for future reference, ive never had one of those chambers not slightly leak and turn into a big leak at the clamp. the diaphragms are usually the cheapest and thinnest you could use, i tried like mad to re set one that i knew i had recently put on and the only way to stop the leak was a quality diaphragm.
@@RCGdiesel been there done that. I'll be waiting for everybody in the comments that you did a piggy back or diaphragm change and not the whole chamber

@6Diego1Diego9 That is the spec. As long as the linkage has not been messed with, it should give you a 1/2 between clutch brake and throwout bearing. I couldn't show the other measurements because the clutch brake was missing.
Anyone who works on heavy vehicles earns every penny they get, well done buddy.
@oldbloke100 I agree. And thank you very much 😉
This is exceptional content! You make it look easy, thanks for video👌

Looks like there's some dirt in there. Is the tensioner release stuck open? That might be what cause it not to click.
@sasquatch5577 no, it just bad. It didn't have a parking pawl.
I change the slack adjusters to the new version

Was that 2600 for parts and labor or just labor?
That was profit for the day.
What do you usually cut your 30/30 long and short stoke rods to, an old timer taught me to always cut 4” top of the nut
@tootoofan55 Yeah, most of them are 4". Some trailers are different

Why would you want 2 inches of clutch play in the pedal?

With no free play. The clutch could potentially not be engaging completely . And maybe slipping .
👏✌
