Pretty awesome that they got him a bigger truck so he could haul his kid in it, shows how much they value their employees, most places prohibit any non employees in their company vehicles.
They did that because if he quits those trucks aren’t moving, if he’s gone they aren’t making money, they don’t care about the techs, they care about money being made
That didn’t piss him off at all ffs, Why would you be mad if you asked someone to get you something when they have no idea and bring you the wrong thing.. he can literally hear him laughing. You guys are stupid
I’m about to start the 13-month Heavy Equipment Technology program at Lincoln Tech. I really appreciate this content. I hope I get to be a part of this world after I graduate.
Thanks for the memories. Was a field service mechanic in the early 80's for Cat too. Oh how the equipment and service procedures have changed. Not to mention the tools to do your job. I do miss the industry. The old school guy
As a retired Cat electronics engineer and former aircraft electronics tech, I enjoyed the glimpse into the life of a Cat service tech. Troubleshooting problems is always a challenge, and the diagnostic tools make a big difference.
Used to work at the pit, the mine manager and the owner are amazing people who took a chance on me and got me hooked with running equipment. Learned so much there that I continue to put into use today 10/10 would recommend working there
That's pretty badass of the company it shows you the type of company that they are and how they take care of their people if they're allowing him to be able to take care of his kids and also accommodate him from having a bigger truck noted for his kids to fit in there for him to drop off the kids you guys should do more of the series
Thank you so,so much for going out with service tech. Fixing a great hard working "CAT" article front Loader. The repair shop cover area was a great work space in bad weather. Love the walk through on Repair.
I just gotta clarify....that isn't our van, lol. There's a nice story behind that van though and hopefully if it ever gets the transmission it needs that sticker will make it's way back to Canada with it.
Its crazy that dont have a delivery driver to bring parts. He coukdve had that taken apart while the part was on its way... In a much cheaper smaller vehicle
It's nice to see some service work on the channel 👍 👍 appreciate it. Also wild to see how easy it is for them to get parts on the computer ready now. Would've been nice to hear the symptom a little better and see more of the diag process. Still cool though.
I'm tipping it was a loose hydraulic suction hose. Seen this before on newer machines. Hose shrinks slightly from new and sucks air .Anyway what would I know, only been on the tools for 40 years 🤣
Don't want to call him down but cutting the filters is a real life no bs history which doesn't lie. Suspect mechanical issue... Filter will tell you... O ring material or metallic material.... Either way, good to see the dealer taking care of their guy. Clearly a valued employee.
Curious if you ever have battery issues with the Milwaukee tools or any other power tools staying out so long in the cold? And is there a constant power supply that would be used to charge them overnight. Also are any other calibrated tools that are temperature sensitive protected in any special way?
You guys ever gonna do anything besides Cat machines? I work on John Deere C&F as a Field Service Tech in SLC, itd be cool to see you guys check out some Deere equipment.
Bit disappointed, was it line relief, main relief, make up valve, seal blown out or seat for valve pitted ?,after cycling did valve get hot, thats what makes it more interesting, diagnosing and final outcome.
Damn carseat I work for CAT as well Power Systems any none CAT employees can't ride, that pretty cool. I have heard great things about Wheeler. Ty for video
In my experience Cat’s forestry service is bad. Specifically for parts. Definitely a bit salty I can’t do forestry work on the weekends now. It took my dad 18 months to get a part. When that is the only thing cutting you are done. But at least where they are at Cat seems really nice to work with
1st time seeing this channel and my last. It would have been nice to see a day in the life of a CAT service tech but instead I got to see a comedy skit. Aaron ya must be doing something right tho to have 166k subs. I will admit the audio, camera work and editing was equal to that of a TV program so kudos on that. I just cant take every line being a comedy hour.
This is the job i want. And have been teying to get. But apparently wagner cat doesnt need the help or im not quailfied enough. Ive sent resumes in and asked their website chat and everything. They dont tell me yes or no. Just radio silence.
Let me see Salt Lake....I know Carrot snappers. Not sure why they say that, but the Streets are like 12 lanes across going one way and 12 lanes across going the other. And everybody drives 80 and 90 miles an hour BEST RODES IN US in my Opinion.

Was laughing pretty hard when Aaron brought him a socket 😂
That pissed him off
@@krice24 it sure did it would piss me off to
still brought him the wrong size, he asked for 16mm not a 13/16"
That didn’t piss him off at all ffs,

@@danielanderson1417 Most bolts on big equipment is SAE not metric….

I love the fact that he is an involved dad.
Thanks for the memories. Was a field service mechanic in the early 80's for Cat too. Oh how the equipment and service procedures have changed. Not to mention the tools to do your job. I do miss the industry. The old school guy
Seems like a pretty badass place to work. Look like they take care of their employees.
Definitely a nice service truck too.

Can you do more of these? Maybe with a bit more in depth. There is tons of content in this vein
Been working as a Cat service field tech for 18 years and probably the best job there is.
How much they pay you? I am looking to get in
It’s cool to see the difference in facilities and the way they do things I work at cat in Tennessee and we do things a lot differently then they do

Aaron this is gold! Please make more videos like this! Awesome content.
Love the behind the scenes look in what these overlooked guys do on the day to day. Love it!
The fact that Aaron doesn’t know about tools is both surprising and quite adorable
Thanks for doing vids like this gives perspective and knowledge for someone possibly looking to go into the field!
aaron when do yuo come kazakhstan ?make video mining eguipment kazakhstan mining
I run the exact 980H loader at the asphalt plant i work at, great machine and very reliable.
That USG 980 is always rickety. Had to load myself with it and it does not have an on board scale lol.
We have a few techs with the extended cab F-550s and they love those trucks.
Its crazy that dont have a delivery driver to bring parts. He coukdve had that taken apart while the part was on its way... In a much cheaper smaller vehicle
Was exited for this one, but it seemed more like a teaser than the actual video. Too much was left out.
Nice to see that other dealerships have the same processes as we do
That is a pretty badass job

Goodfellow. How cool I live in the town where one of their headquarters is. I interviewed with them 5 years ago for an IT spot. How cool.
I like how the sticker on the side of the truck says it’s 4500 lb overweight lol
Loved this. More mechanical/engineering content needed!!
He said “that would be a socket” I could hear the disappointment 😂
Great video I’m starting diesel and heavy equipment classes soon!
I'm tipping it was a loose hydraulic suction hose. Seen this before on newer machines. Hose shrinks slightly from new and sucks air .Anyway what would I know, only been on the tools for 40 years 🤣

I have 2 pairs of those big Knipex cobra’s, I call them Plier-saurus-Rex! Lmao.
I’ve got all the smaller sizes then the Big Mac daddy size lol they will grab anything.
This guy killed me when he said “and now this is when it goes over my head” 😂😂
Thank you for sharing your vlogs, i like watching big equipment
in this video we did NOT shake hands with danger. great job
Man those SuperDuty Ford's are darn cool!
Great video!
That red cantilever toolbox looks amazing. Do you guys know something about it? Brand? Type?
I got so excited thinking he was about to fix machines in that rusty old dodge van that wouldve been so bad ass
Curious if you ever have battery issues with the Milwaukee tools or any other power tools staying out so long in the cold? Thanks for knowledge bro😊

You guys ever gonna do anything besides Cat machines? I work on John Deere C&F as a Field Service Tech in SLC, itd be cool to see you guys check out some Deere equipment.
Us old guys don’t like being called’Techs” but nice vid showing what we do everyday -Deere guy 😉👌
I'm not a tech, I'm a greasy wrench monkey!
Nice rig, is that Brutus body? Great to see more of the side that actually keeps the gear moving!
I also rock the car seat in my extended cab haha
You should do a Komatsu. I work for Komatsu in SLC and if you reach out they may let you if not I worked for a dealer in Georgia that may also
Awesome video! I just subscribed to your channel this looks like the type of trade for me❤🚜
Would love to see you come visit finning cat UK
Whats up with the F150 service truck he used to have. Is that a thing at dealers?
they would be awesome to visit wheeler machinery. great video Aaron
Don't worry about it Aaron, none of us were born with knowledge of what the namescof tools are. I'm 57 and theres a lot that I don't know.
Where can we get Buildwitt stickers ?
Bit disappointed, was it line relief, main relief, make up valve, seal blown out or seat for valve pitted ?,after cycling did valve get hot, thats what makes it more interesting, diagnosing and final outcome.
Does anyone know what the process is like switching from one cat dealer to cat dealer
Holy hell that looks like Chris Jason.
Damn carseat I work for CAT as well Power Systems any none CAT employees can't ride, that pretty cool. I have heard great things about Wheeler. Ty for video
You guys should see if you can follow a materials technician for a day. The job can be pretty interesting and involves a lot of machinery too!
Respect for not editing out the ratcheting wrench part. 😂
Soon as I’m done school I’m going out western Canada. Where is the big $ at fellas?!
Wow I didn't think Aaron had that little mechanical knowledge...
9:08 Every time I heard “KAH-NIPEX” I had a seizure. 😳
7:23 ..Same brother.
Love It!
VERY GOOD
Damn that technician knows his shit. Hell yeah brother
Is it just me or is the camera extra shaky in this video? Hard to watch fullscreen.
3:00 and just imagine this dumptruck in a dumptruck :p

So did that fix it?
That was a awesome service truck I'd like to that
at firs i thought that donut was CGI because of the black glove and the unfocused backround XDD
15:40 nice
"Stay Dirty" ain't that the quote from Eric the car guy?
Nice video.
The k is silent in knipex!
Haha you can tell he's not Messed with tools much lol
There's nothing quite like professional amateurs on job sites... 😂😂😂
It would be cool if you did something like railroad related because I work for a railroad company
He could quite possibly be a track star. His ratings might spike. Or is that a loco idea ?

Imagine how cool this could have been with a different host who asked good questions and had knowledge. Too bad.
“😳….That would be a socket……..🤦♂️”
Could this be a new series
Let me see Salt Lake....I know Carrot snappers. Not sure why they say that, but the Streets are like 12 lanes across going one way and 12 lanes across going the other. And everybody drives 80 and 90 miles an hour BEST RODES IN US in my Opinion.
It's not a grabber tool, it's called multi-grip pliers
Don’t know if I can watch anymore after seeing the lack of tool knowledge 💀
Surprised a F550 requires a cdl and logs.
I don’t understand that either because it days 24000 on the side.
I thought his service truck was the van at first
Doesn't Kheldon have a pretty darn good Insta?
Howdy Aaron
That is the shakiest cameraman
Have you never turned a wrench in your life?
So thats how you get 50 years experience by 22
More tech videos
