It would be helpful if you might explain your thoughts concerning composition. How you think about three components of balance. Great video and lovely paintings btw!

Thank you. I think for these I went for something very simple so the kind of repeating elements work well together but I placed them slightly off centre at the beginning and was then able to add the final curves and darker blue areas in a place that would balance the initial curves. If that makes sense?! 😊

These are lovely - so delicate. I’m definitely going to run this again and paint along, because I tend to be way too precise, and overwork my watercolours. Thank you, keep them coming!

Nice. At first they seemed ugly, but put that mask on and magic happens.

Awesome video! thank you! : ) The aquapasto I bought is fantastic! my attempt at a Gretchen Albecht style painting was not so fantastic lol, I dont know why I find composition so hard with abstract, maybe its because it's somewhat intuitive which is something I struggle with so instead of looking slightly organised my composition just looks like a mess that a 4 year old has made! :D But i'm going to persevere and your videos are really helping me so thanks so much for that : )

I am so glad you liked the aquapasto! I forgot to say that I got some nice effects by adding it to quite watered down watercolour. It stoped the paint moving around so much once on the paper. I dont know if you tried that (I think on my video with the landscapes I used it quite thick). I agree.. composition for abstracts can be so hard. I have created many many bad ones in my time! Its a a very interesting topic I think!

Fascinating, you have a very firm hand! My thin lines come out "drunken" or blobby. 😅

Haha I think wobbly lines can be much more interesting 😊 🙏
