So glad to know I’m not alone in my “collecting.” My brain is perfectly in sync with yours. Definitely going to check out this book. Thanks for the review.
I saw Ceri the Crafter do a review on this book and had to buy it. So much inspiration and beauty, along with information and tutorials. I love the book. I don't regret this purchase. As for over buying art supplies. I now have 3 craftrooms in my house. My now grown kids bedrooms have been transformed into my crafting rooms. 1 is my sewing room. 1 is my beading/jewelry making room. And the last is my art/ paper crafting room. I have more craft supplies than I could ever use in my remaining life span. Yet I still continue to get sucked in and buy. So yes, I can relate.
I am currently packing to move house and have been stunned at the amount of craft supplies I own. Have made lots of donations to op shops and crafty friends but cannot relinquish my many watercolour paints [or instruction books !] The book you reviewed is on my wish list now- simply stunning.
I have also just bought thos book. It is an awesome guide especially for beginners to get aquinted with watercoloring, and actually make it pretty even when you are not that good yet, as I am not.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! Yes, I'm totally in the same boat as you! So many wonderful art supplies with every good intention, but somehow I never feel fully "qualified." You've given us courage to just get going with it. 😊
I purchased this book based on your review. The only downside is the paints recommended are quite expensive. I’m looking forward to making a start. Thank you for recommending, It’s a nice book.
I do use my watercolors, but only for journaling, grimoire making, and that sort of thing. I haven't used them for the landscapes and seascapes for which I originally purchased them. And I have a LOT of art supplies lol. I'm going to buy this book too after seeing your excellent review. This is exactly what I need. I think starting with abstract images is a great way to work into more complex works (if you even want to). It can help develop your brush work and color mixing and get you into the habit of painting regularly, which is always an issue for me. And some of these designs in the book would be really beautiful in my journals as backgrounds as well. I'm really excited to try this. Thanks!
Im also totally in love with this book and I have also bought it. 🥰 Im right where you are, right in the beginning of my Watercolor journey. Although I started it many years ago Im still at the starterpoint, not going forward. I just try something out and then feel like I got proof that Im not aimed for this thing and putt my Watercolors away for a long time, until next atempt that goes equally bad 🙈😅 So I bought the book with the same feel as you, that it would help me with that mental block and also let me getting to know the watercolor technique in a playful way where its not that easy to feel like a failure. Wish me luck!! 😅 Looking forward to see some of your creations on your journey with the book and the watercolors. ❤
Thanks for your review. I was looking for inspiration for using my watercolors and came across this book and love all the abstract shapes. It seems easy enough for someone like me who has limited drawing skills (and that's ok).
@@WWDesigns Yes 😍 I just like playing with the colors and not trying to make anything in particular. So easy and accessible. I just picked up the Caran D’Ache pastels that are water soluble and love how easy it is to use them.
Thank you so much for the review. Showing each page really gives us a feel for the book. We need reviews like this now that Amazon no longer has the "look inside" feature, which I relied on to decide whether or not to purchase a book. Um... were you talking about my sock drawer that's full of watercolor blocks and palettes ?
So happy to see this video....I have had this book in my Amazon cart for a while undecided about it....your video made me decide to order it... thankyou!!!!
Thank you for this wonderful review! I noticed the book is also in e-format on Kindle, for those who prefer using an iPad etc. I‘ve just begun to use watercolour paints and am interested in abstracts, so this book will certainly do me too!
This is my first visit to your channel and I absolutely loved this video !! Brilliant 🤩💕 I recently read a suggestion in an art group that I joined, that there needs to be a support group called AA…..Artist’s Anonymous….for those with addictions to buying art supplies and then don’t use them ! 🤪🤪🤭🤭😂😂
Bet I have more “unused”, partially used paints than you?!?!? 😂 It was a “lock up” brainy idea! Unfortunately, they will most likely end up in a bag for donation. 😢 I admire your intentions & look forward to seeing your masterpieces! Ok…I will keep a small set ‘just in case’! 😊
Me? Hoard art and craft supplies? Like a champion! 😊
Good to hear! 🥇
So glad to know I’m not alone in my “collecting.” My brain is perfectly in sync with yours. Definitely going to check out this book. Thanks for the review.

I think you can use anything and gelatos are fun. Toowoomba is just ‘down the road’! 🤣

I have started playing using the paints I have. Not the quality she uses, but they are doing a perfectly acceptable job. Have fun! 😊

Love reading novels electronically, but arty crafty books I do prefer hard copies. 😊
Hi from NSW. You just described me we must be kindred spirits💕
Craft supplies have that effect. 😍
I’ve always said buying art supplies and using art supplies are two different hobbies.
I excel at both 😂
Great😮❤😊!!!
Thank you 😊

You have not seen the amount of acrylics I have 😂 and I would definitely keep some ‘just in case’!
Awesome video! Guilty, but I just donate to op shops 😂
Hopefully someone gets some joy! 😂
You’ve been reading my mail. I may be able to beat you with unused watercolour supplies.
You should see my acrylic collection! 😂
Too many to name!
Not uncommon! 🤣
