Thank you dr. Rupy for all your tips and informations that you shared about menopause in this video. It is so good to have these tips all together in one video, so one can refer back to it as well. Many thanks 🙏🏻
Thank you Dr. Rupy ❣️ Since I follow your advise and the brilliant recipes in your books I became a healthier and happier person. I’m working on my belly fat at the moment, but I’m well on the way. I combined a higher protein diet with exercise and it is working ! Just to say…you are great 👏🍐🥑🍇🥬🥦❤️
The Doctor's Kitchen ---- ✨👍✨❤✨🤗✨ Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us about this subject. I am not yet experiencing this part of being a woman. But I'm trying to prepare for when it happens, though I am still many years away from it. I enjoy your channel contents very much, Dr. Aujla.
I'd love to hear your diet guidance for a 56 year old woman with a gastric sleeve. I absolutely love Brussels sprouts and broccoli but can't eat very much of them as they are too gassy with my gastric sleeve. Love to know if you have any ideas. My dietitian has advised a high protein diet as you've suggested.
I would love to see how many beans and legumes you'd have to eat to get 1.5 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight. 😮Also isn't the protein in plants less bio-available than protein in meat?
Is it still okay to increase your protein if you have CKD? 🤔 Yes, your protein recommendation does exceed the level suggested by the WHO, a lot! I tend not to have too much spinach, as it's high in oxalates and not good for CKD. I also don't eat too much seafood, as it's high in nano- and microplastics and heavy metals. Also, does this advice still apply if you're on HRT? Is it okay for women to have soy products if you've have breast cancer or have the BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene? Lastly, what breed is your little doggy? It's so cute ☺
It seems that on the contrary, soy is good wrt breast cancer. There was first a fear but now research shows that it could be beneficial. Eg woman in Japan eat a lot of soy and are less at risk. Try to look for a serious study or channel online (don’t know anymore where I saw it . Zoe maybe ? Or nutrition made simple ?)
Dr Greger reviewed all the current available research on cancer and soya. He found it to increase survival rates and reduced risk of cancer. Perhaps you'll enjoy his videos on the topic 😊
I had breast cancer. The nutritionist at the hospital told me that sources of soy like tofu and edamame were good, but I should avoid processed soy (such as soy protein powders). This was a few years ago. I’d be interested to hear from recent studies if this advice has stood the test of time.
Thank you. So appreciate how you make all the information easy to digest (apologies for the pun!) but not so simple it becomes meaningless sound bites. Really enjoy learning from your channel :)
Grapefruit can affect the absorption of some medication, so don't take them together without checking.

Depends on the plant source. E.g. soya is a lot more bioavailable. It also depends if its cooked, raw, sprouted and also what it is combined with. 😊
I enjoy lentil pasta with a meat sauce, I can increase my protein and fibre 👍

I am in a high-risk category for breast cancer, so I avoid soy products. What would be a good substitute for soy? Flaxseed?
👍 Statins being one such group.
Soy as been proven to reduce the risk of breast cancer

Do all women gain weight during pre meno and menopause? Or do some women lose weight?
