What is interesting about these spices is that people who never consume them have fantastic health benefits from their own daily diets; examples are the Mediterranean diet, Okinawan diet, etc.
Plant-centric, exercise, sleep and good community in those examples. But I've definitely come across quite a lot of cinnamon and ginger in Mediterranean cuisine. Can't talk to Okinawan though.
Very interesting as usual and will add even more to my breakfast. I would like to know how doctor Rupy feels about Amla powder, I find it impossible to take as the taste is very unpleasant, but have bought a capsule maker and use vegetarian capsules filled with the powder, no more problem about taste. Thank you for your podcasts.
How is turmeric's bioavailability NOT a factor in the secondary metabolites (or anything else), if the benefits within the cell are lock up behind cellulose cell walls which our bodies can not break down?
@@sunnyshealthcoaching I’ve listened again. A few general statements are made about potential interactions with spices, and the importance of checking with a medical practitioner. The only reference I could hear to Anticoagulants (he refers to them as blood thinners) was in relation to cinnamon (cassia bark). My cardiac team stressed that turmeric is in itself an Anticoagulant, so should not be taken alongside Anticoagulant medication.
1) ginger

Thank you. I consume at least one of these three spices every day. Now, I'll use all three.

Thank you for all the great info. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I wondered if ginger also helps with this?

I’m surprised you don’t mention that people on anticoagulants should be cautious with turmeric.
He does, watch the whole video, it's near the end. He also started this through out the video
Thanks. I didn’t hear him mention anti coagulants at the beginning. As for the end… I admit I haven’t yet heard the very end.
