Thanks Doc, another great video and awareness tips ! I love black coffee but have to water it down quite a bit. If not my heart is flying. Besides that I always drink a glass of water on the side with my coffee. Always looking forward to your postings and pot casts. Also your new cookbook is fab. Thanks for all. 🙏👏💐😎
Enjoying your videos/ TY!! I’ve read from more than one source that steel filters actually allow a compound through that raises triglycerides. Paper filters filter the compound out and are preferable for this reason…Could you please weigh in on that? I went filter less one year (Breville espressos only), my annual physical showed my triglycerides HIGH (but HDL also very high so my ratios were all good)… then I went filter- only (pour over) and my next physical showed normal triglycerides 🤨
I have the impression that long brew times extract more polyphenols. True? I have been experimenting with making coffee in a French Press with 200°F/93°C water and letting it sit on the counter for 12-14 hours. I like the taste but wonder if it is better or worse than a cold brew or normal French Press brewed for 10 minutes.
