(feel free to correct me if im wrong) but the way this is ment to work is while the constraint is active the spawn location updates relative to the position of the model, once the constraint is disabled, it freezes in the last recorded position the constraint recorded (saying this for people like myself who get a better understanding when you know why it works) and nice job once again mate :)
So to some who want to have the object appear around the player instead of at the world spawn, simply place the "Reset Transform" object inside armature. (This is a note of any builds in Unity 2022.3.22f1 in 2024 so this may vary in the future.) Hope this helps to any future avatar creators wanting to make something cool!
I gotta teach you about the World Constraint Reset animation as well so for particle users after dropping a particle animation that is on a world constraint, it resets after use so you can place it in a new location in the world without it clinging to the first position where you dropped it! It's slightly more advanced but very handy, I use it all the time.
I followed this tutorial and it did not work for me. Not entirely sure what went wrong, but oh well. Figured it out, had to drag the object "Reset Transform" onto my Avatar for it to put it at the correct place, not a child of "World Constraint."
the prop is still following me- this doesn't even work. how do we make a simple prop or cub spawn without following you? this is really hard to understand.
hey man quick question. so i made the toggles n shit, but in game, if i turn off the world constraint, it remains where it originally was. so i cant "reset" the position. sorry if it doesnt make sense
So this works, thank you, but when in vrc, if someone joins or enables my avatar after the object is placed, they can't see it. Is there a way to remedy this? So when folks join, they see the object?
Sadly there is no fix to that. Synchronization is key, but when it comes to people loading your avatar or just joining into the world. It will not register. The only simple fix is to turn the toggle off and on to reset the object that you are placing.
To put it this way, it acts like a buffer. I had this problem in the past when I toggle something and people couldn't see my animations. So by placing two keyframes will surely not fail.

Can't deny, you nailed it spot on.
Fast, efficient, actually works, clear with instructions. Love this tutorial! and very easy to follow, thank you ♥

THANK YOU. never worked with world constraints and had no clue why mine was spawning at a random point in the world. this video saved me.
Thanks for all the help over the years really apprappreciate it
He done did it! Looking forward to learning astrophysics next!

WELCOME BACK MAN miss these tutorials
😀
Great Tutorial.. its been awhile since i worked with Constraints, helped me again remember how it works. thanks! 😊
Fantastic Tutorial man

Hey. I got it to work but others can't see my objects I spawn. Do you maybe know why?
make sure your toggles are synced. you can go to parameters to sync it
why the double keyframes?
the prop is still following me- this doesn't even work. how do we make a simple prop or cub spawn without following you? this is really hard to understand.
I just wish it worked for quest users,

very helpful. tysm!
honestly would love to meet you
The toggle isn't appearing at all for me. What are the specific areas I should look at to fix this?
How do you do it, when there should be a seat in your constraint. That doesnt seem to work then. If I don't use a seat, it works perfectly fine.
can i use toggle assistant
For some reason only I see it, none of my friends do. Regardless of platform.
What about toggling it on to appear in the world and then grab it?
Is there an s d k for the last Or like a prefab Because I think I keep making it wrong and i've remedied it like six times
its stuck in the middle of the world
this is for a fully fresh avatar not a existing avatar

Sorry for the delay just saw this reply now, that's a shame but thanks for the heads up.@@ItzRandomlyTV
Question, why do you make a 2nd keyframe in the animation? What does it do exactly, and will it not work if you don't do it?
To put it this way, it acts like a buffer. I had this problem in the past when I toggle something and people couldn't see my animations. So by placing two keyframes will surely not fail.
@ItzRandomlyTV I see. Do you do this for every animation or only specific ones?
@@OSAlula I do this on all my animations. You don't have to add two keyframes which works fine with one. Just my personal OCD.
PC ONLY?
Is it really pc only???
Is there a way for us to find the vrc parent constraint script somewhere in the SDK?
im asking if its pc only
because i need it to work on quest
how do i make it work for quest
wait I'm in the intro
dosn t work
Im not able to build it as quest? or am i doing something wrong..?
let me rephrase for quest users its attatched to the hip of the model and follows you around
Hmm...
took you 8 month
so swaggy teachnin straight facts on beats ! gonna use this to make my drinks n smokes world anchored XP
thanks so much , worked perfectly
