How could we hate on someone loving one of the most beautiful songs ever written. For me this song changes it’s meaning each year I hear it and as I get older too. Beautifully written and always beautifully performed by Ms Nicks who def has some other worldly talents 🙏❤️

Don’t ever apologize for reacting to Fleetwood Mac. Both Landslide and Silver Springs are by far my absolute favorites for very sentimental reasons and particularly the two versions you reacted to are in my opinion the perfect examples of each. I can’t listen to either without getting all the feels, vibes and goose bumps. Stevie is a goddess and Fleetwood Mac are epically one of a kind. ❤ ✌🏼

This song is about a father-daughter relationship. Stevie Nicks wrote it on the guitar in about five minutes in Aspen, Colorado. She was surrounded by mountains and thinking, "Wow, all this snow could just come tumbling down around me and there is nothing I can do about it." When she feels like this she just goes to a room and writes her thoughts down so she can read it and ponder what she has written.
Nicks said of this song: "My dad did have something to do with it, but he absolutely thinks that he was the whole complete reason it was ever written. I guess it was about September 1974, I was home at my dad and Mom's house in Phoenix, and my father said, 'You know, you really put a lot of time into this [her singing career], maybe you should give this six more months, and if you want to go back to school, we'll pay for it. Basically you can do whatever you want and we'll pay for it - I have wonderful parents, and I went, 'cool, I can do that.' Peace out.

Finally someone who knows the meaning of this song. I couldn’t have written it better, thank you! I’m 62 years old and this was my father, daughter dance song at my wedding in 1983. I’ve since lost my dad, so this song has a very special meaning to me.

This is, in my opinion, the best version of this song. It is from their 1997 tour called
"The Dance". At the very beginning, before she starts singing, you will hear her say
"this is for you daddy". Her father was in the audience. The line "I'm getting older too"
may not mean too much to a young buck like you, but I think that to Stevie it was very
significant as she was approaching her 50th birthday. There is both a CD and DVD
of this concert. I would suggest you get the DVD as it has 22 songs while the CD only
has 17, plus of course you get to see them too.

There is always magic when Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham are together musically. Just the two of them - that's all you need. For those of you who do not know, Stevie and Lindsey put out an album in '73 before they joined Fleetwood Mac. The album is titled simply Buckingham Nicks. It is absolutely superb! Crying In The Night, Races Are Run, Long Distance Winner, Crystal are all excellent songs, however the song Frozen Love is epic, especially the guitar work by Buckingham. Your reactions are great!

Fleetwood Mac's music transcends time, space and generations. I was given the Rumors album on my 12th birthday and their songs are still just as magical to me today. I think it's the intensity of their relationships within the group that was like jet fuel for the innate musical talent. And then of course, the otherworldly chemistry both physically and musically between Lindsay and Stevie just cannot be reproduced or manufactured.

My partner in life and love took his life almost seven years ago from severe depression. You can still catch me staring off into the distance listening to this song sobbing. I have nothing left of him but a broken heart and memories, all wonderful memories. I find comfort in music, it certainly cannot bring someone back physically but it can bring back the memories of them.

I love this song, too. When I was young, I was told that once I sang like Stevie, and one could only hope!!! I find that hard to believe, but I think it was because in my flowerchild days, we all wore our hair long and simple, and mine was very wavy, so it might be the hair and the hippie vibe, I still wear that style today.

Another tidbit, Stevie is thought of as the witchy woman of Fleetwood Mac. It was Christine McVie’s (the other female singer/songwriter as well as keyboardist) mother who was a medium, psychic, and self avowed “witch”. Shortly before she died she told Christine that Chris would find her greatest success on Orange Grove Rd. When Stevie and Lindsey met with the rest of Fleetwood Mac at a Mexican restaurant New Year’s Eve 1974. Stevie mentioned to a dumbfounded Chris that she and Lindsey lived in an apartment on Orange Grove Rd.

Thanks for doing it again. I was one of ones recommending listening to them on live version, when older, more worldly, raspier/richer-voiced and more nuanced. It’s just amazing. I have cried to this for decades. I wish you decades of joy and emotion with this, too. Also, this version was performed almost 30 years after first, so yes, definitely not studio version.

Soooo good, SalvoG! Next, you gotta rev up the rpm’s and check out Lindsay B doing Big Love from the same show.

I had this on 45 (still do) b-side to Go your own way. Your reaction is exactly how I felt first time I heard it, proves Stevie Nicks is timeless 😘

I never get tired of this song. Have you done Sara by Fleetwood Mac yet? If you like Landslide you will definitely like Sara.

I love this song and this whole concert. You should watch the whole thing sometime. It’s called the dance and I believe it’s from the early 2000s.
The version of Rhiannon that they do in this concert is also wonderful.
Great reaction! Really enjoy your channel.

I remember listening to this song after my little sister died and crying. This was the first time I listened to this song a few months after my older sister was murdered. I needed this cry. Thank you. Really.❤
